1 Chapter 1

'Sigh I really shouldn't had done what I did. I'm really pitiful and petty for doing the choices I did in this life. But who can blame me? I mean I had no guidance and the only way for me to survive was to adapt.' Aaron was thinking of his life as he was taking his last breath, bleeding from being shot at his heart.

His full name is Aaron Russell, the owner of Russell Industries which is the most successful company in the world. The company was founded by his grandfather when he was 30 years old and was a good and well recognized company in the country. His son, Aaron's father, expanded the company to become world wide recognized and eventually became the number 1 company in the world in the technology field.

Aaron became the owner of the company, well most specifically the majority holder of the company with 70% shares at the age of 5. His father was assassinated along side with his wife when Aaron turned 5 that year. They died when they traveled to Britain to attend the opening ceremony of their European Head Quarters that would had guaranteed the European market. John Russell, Aaron father, had started to plan to expand outside of the technology industry and dive into different industries, such as weapons and medical, for decades. He started experimenting into those fields and was getting positive feedback from his research team. But as we all know, this world ruled by those in power. Power could mean no only mean financially but also political power, military power etc. When he was researching those fields, John received multiple threats saying things such as that he be satisfied with what he had and not anger those above him by trying to get into their fields and their profits.

John laid low for many years and not expanding until he reached a point of becoming the number one technology company in the world and thus decided to expand at whatever price when he secured the European market. Then on the evening of the opening of the Russell Industries European HQ, him and his wife got blown up in the car on the way to the ceremony.

Aaron, at the age of 5 for obvious reasons, couldn't inherit the company and his grandparents became his legal guardians. Everything went well for 2 years, but eventually something tragic happened again. When Aaron was halfway through his 7th year of age, both of his grandparents disappeared. When Aaron got back from school that day he was met with an empty house, except for the maids and butlers working for his family. He didn't think too much of it and went straight to do his homework and prepared for bed. Just like that a week went by and when he got home, he was recived by police officers telling him about the disappearance of his grandparents. He denied it, he couldn't believe his grandparents abandoning him or that they couldn't be found. Aaron went into a depression, he didn't know what was going in the world anymore, by the time he came back to his senses he was once again given to a new legal guardian. His new legal guardian, which was his mother's brother, didn't really cared about him. He was given a new house, with maids and butlers to give his daily necessities, and left on his own from there. At the beginning he would checked on him once a week, months later became worse, checking on him just once or twice a month. Years passed by and Aaron turned 17. He inherited his family business and properties. In those years Aaron never actually lived a "normal" life. He was antisocial at school, never actually made any real friends however he proved everybody that he was John's Russell son by graduating early and getting a Master's degree at the age of 16. Throughout all those years, the only thing that brought him any joy was anime, webnovels, and video games. He became an otaku at heart but he would never show it to anybody, not that he could had in the first place.The reason he was allowed to inherit everything was because of his excellent academic performances and the "maturity" he showed to everyone.

In a the time that Aaron spent growing up, his company stood still in the number one spot in the world of technology. Just like that, Aaron hired an the best detective team in the world to search for his grandparents. Years went by and he eventually became known as "the Devil boss" for the policies he made, the strict rules he made and the cold attitude he always possessed. He would fired people without a second thought if what they did anything went against his rules or regulations regardless of what their position was.

After nearly a decade of investigation, the detective team got the results that Aaron was looking for. What they discovered made then sweat in cold sweat, telling him that whatever he wanted to do with the information he received, not to involve them any further and from this point on they had no more connection with each other. Aaron opened the USB he received from them, and went beyond rage by what he saw. He discovered that his grandparents went to a grocery store the day that they disappeared, but when they were coming back got intercepted by an unknown group of people and they were forced to get into their vehicle. That trace was left with nothing more and the next trace of them was someone discovered some old people corpses in South Africa. They kept the corpses in the best way available because the corpses seemed were from Americans, they looked caucasian, so they gave the US government a call and they eventually retrieved the corpses. The government kept the corpses and release a statement in the news about the corpses saying that they had no way of identifying the corpses because they didn't have any blood left on them, no teeth, no hair and disfigure faces. The detective team went to look for them and eventually found something that bypassed many individuals in the government. They found that bone structure of Aaron's parents match the corpses. Then they try to discover why anyone would do that to the old couple.

They went back to Aaron's grandparents house and after looking throughout the entire house they found a note in the attic, saying that they found a clue at to who killed John. They said they already had contacted a world class detective and that they would get their revenge. The note was in case something happened to them to let Aaron know what happened but that note was made to discover by him when he was old enough to do something. Then the detective team found the former detective, who had by now retired, and asked what happened to John Russell and his wife. He then told them what he had discovered and gave them an advice not to continue with their investigation because who was responsible for Aaron parents death was beyond anything they could imagine. They received the information and swore to not get themselves involved any further and gave the information about the investigation to Aaron. All of those events took around 9 years to happened.

Aaron after reading the investigation could not get anymore mad and decided finished what his father started. He spent money on research and development of those fields and went to expand without a doubting what he was doing, only keeping that goal in mind. He eventually succeeded by creating medicines and cures for HIV, Cancer, leukemia, and many more diseases that would make people desperate to have them. After Aaron succeeded in what his father didn't, he received a phone call informing him that he made the worst decision of his life by doing what he did and he would pay the price for it.

After Aaron phone call ended his bodyguard, someone who had stay with him since he was 17 and now he's 26, turned around gave him a shot to his heart. Leaving him in the situation that he is right now, his life passing through his eyes in his last breath.

'Well I wished I would had gotten married, I would love to had kids but there's nothing like a pill of regret in this life. Now let's see if there's a God or what's on the other side of death' that was Aaron last thought before he entered darkness.
