"Who are you?"

"Me?" The young boy said. "Don't you know who I am?"

"Nope... I don't"

"Well, I guess you wouldn't... After all, only a few humans have seen me."

The young boy scratched his head. He realized that the male visitor standing before him didn't recognize him. A tricky smile formed on his lips. His eyes filled with curiosity as he started circling his visitor. Inspecting him from head to toe.

The visitor was standing in the center of an office. Along the walls stood several bookshelves carrying hundreds of books. The office seemed rather ordinary. there was a desk, papers, and an armchair in the corner of the room. Everything seemed normal. Except for one detail. Everything inside the room was white.

The boy had stopped circling the visitor and now sat down in his white chair behind the white desk, in front of a large white window, with only a sea of white nothingness outside.

The two things that had color inside of this room were the boy and the visitor. They both had ocean blue eyes and golden blonde hair. They could almost have been mistaken for siblings. They had soft faces and round eyes. But the boy behind the desk was somehow much more handsome than the visitor in front of the desk.

"I am God," The boy said casually. Smiling.

"For real?"

"Yup"

Now it was the visitor's turn to scratch his head. Not knowing what to make of the situation, he asked:

"Am I dead?"

"No."

"Then what am I doing here?" The visitor started to feel rather confused about the circumstances.

"I brought you here."

"You did? Why?"

"Entertainment."

The visitor's jaw dropped to the floor. *Entertainment? Was he only entertainment for this boy?* The thought made his blood boil.

He was about to speak his mind to the boy, but just as his mouth opened, something popped up in front of him. A message was floating in the air, only an armlength away from him. The window was somewhat transparent. He looked through the floating window and locked eyes with the boy who still remained behind his desk.

"What's this?" The visitor asked.

He hadn't read a single word of the message yet. The surprise that came with a floating notice was not enough to get him to calm down.

"A human body designer," The boy said. "It allows you to create a vessel for your mind."

The visitor's previous anger instantly did a complete turn and transformed into curiosity. He read through the message. Stroking his clean-shaven chin in the process.

>WELCOME TO GODS CHARACTER CREATION TOOL<

>This allows you to customize your appearance, identity, talents, attributes, background, and abilities<

"That is not a lot of information..." The visitor sighed and looked at the boy.

"Well..." The boy's gaze turned towards his feet as he tried to hide his embarrassment.

*Not a hard worker huh?* The visitor thought. "Doesn't matter. I get the point... So what do you want me to do?" He let out a small sigh.

He thought that the opportunity before him was one too great to avoid. He wanted a new exciting life. His previous was filled with disappointment and failure.

"Glad you asked!" The embarrassment disappeared from the boy's face in an instant as he started his explanation.

"You, my dear friend, will be warped to a new world. Containing magic and adventures. That's what you humans like right?

The visitor was a bit shocked hearing about a magical world. Therefore he answered with a simple: "Right..."

The boy continued: "Depending on what you chose, the scenario which you will be brought into will be different. For example. If you decide to be noble, I will make sure that you are adopted into a family of nobles."

"So I get full control?" The visitor was now feeling his excitement growing.

"Exactly! But that's not all. You also get to choose what kind of talents you have and design your appearance!"

"Not bad" Looking rather amused now. A small smile formed on the lips of the visitor.

"When you are done with all of that, I will allow you to choose THREE super awesome abilities" The boy looked very proud of himself now as he puffed out his chest.

"Guess I'll do it then."

The visitor's life was filled with nothing but the same boring people, the same boring job and the same boring hobbies. His life was colorless. His parents had died a couple of years ago during a terrorist attack in the city. They both, and almost 70 more people lost their lives that day.

The visitor was about to celebrate his 23rd birthday this week, yet he had no one to celebrate with. He had no family, no real friends, and no one he could trust. He were truly alone.

He clenched his fist.

Without hesitating any further, he pushed the window floating in front of him with his finger.

In front of him appeared a lot of different categories and numbers. He skim-read through them and "Agility", "Memory" and "Regenerative powers" were only a few of them. Besides each attribute stood the number 1. To the left of the 1 were a "-" and to the right a "+".

Without putting too much thought into it, he quickly understood that he could raise the number and the strength of that attribute by simply pressing the "+".

"Do you like it?" The boy asked him. He was almost trembling with excitement. Very eager to hear about the other party's thoughts "I designed it after your world's videogames, so you can understand it better."

"Yeah... I understand..." The visitor looked through the categories a second time. "How much can I place in each category?" He finally asked.

"How much you want" He didn't get the praise he expected and his previous excitement disappeared in an instant.

"How high does it go?"

"Don't know" The boy shrugged his shoulders. "Don't think I set a limit"

"..."

The next hours were spent in the same spot, The visitor sat crosslegged on the floor. Pushing the "+" button so many times until that both of his arms went numb.

He let out a sigh as he laid down on the floor. His forehead sparkling with sweat.

*That should be enough.* He thought.

After a couple of heavy breaths, he tapped the "Continue" button in the bottom right corner. The numbers beside the different attributes were now up in the thousands.

He was spending this time alone in the office. The boy had since long disappeared. Saying that he had: "God things to do".

The next window allowed him to choose his backstory and how he wanted to enter the world.

He chose to be an orphan who got adopted into a wealthy family that was searching for an heir. They adopted him because of his talent for magic.

The visitor took upon himself the name of Loki Edan. Edan was the family name of the family he was about to enter. And Loki was simply a name he found cool.

He smiled as he moved on to the next page. The special abilities page. This is where he would get to choose three different overpowered abilities. Or so he thought.

Loki's only option was an ability called "God's scout".

"Tch" he clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Three abilities my ass."

"Oh well," He said. Pressing down upon the text, God's scout. His annoyance level was already high. He had repeatedly pushed a + for hours. So he didn't bother reading the information about the ability.

The fact that this entire thing had been a huge scam didn't even come to his mind. God had made the promise of designing his appearance. However, this was nothing but a memory. He was only allowed to choose only one ability. Even though God had promised him three. Also, his background was not as detailed as he had hoped.

But right now, Loki couldn't care less, his but hurt after sitting on the floor, and his arms were shaking despite being numb.

Loki sighed and said goodbye to the system window in front of him as he tapped a green, blinking button.
