39 chapter 39 meeting

As we made our way back to the kingdom of Wraith Apael and Marog kept a distance of a few feet not daring to approach as I released the aura of a ruler subconsciously. The way that they sent the children to learn to be canon fodder for demons sickened me. I needed to make some changes.

We made it into the palace with ease but a couple of guards stopped me from entering the audience chamber." None shall enter. The 6 sins are meeting with Duke Arog."

I let out a scoff before kicking the guard sending him flying through the audience chamber doors. Apael and Marog's eyes widened as they followed me as I made entry while the second guard went to sound an alarm.

Once I was in the center of the room I saw the other sins sitting on a raised platform while Arog was standing below them staring at me with hatred in his eyes since I interrupted their little meeting. "Insolent brat. I will not tolerate your disrespect to the sins and me! Guards Execute this traitor!"

Guards filled the room with weapons drawn ready to attack. I let out a low growl my eyes turning pure black filled with the power of all the sins and chaos. I spat out a single word that echoed throughout the entire chamber. "Kneel!"

As if invisible chains constricted all the demons they fell to their knees. Not even the sins were spared from the command; even Apael was forced to her knees. Every demon could feel the anger and rage contained in that single command unable even to speak. I made my way to the head chair where Karma was kneeling since he was the head of the kingdom.

In my anger, I grabbed one of his horns and threw him down the steps to the floor. Karma stayed on the ground and instead of going back onto his knees, he bowed completely on the ground keeping his head against the floor not daring to speak or look me in the eyes.

As I sat down on the throne I closed my eyes trying to calm my emotions. My fingers gently tapping on the armrest of the throne. There were many thoughts that flowed through my head. Most of my anger came from the fact that the wraith demons have been treated as no more than a war commodity. The children were even being trained only to be used as little pawns to be sacrificed.

While my mind was chaotic with my worries I felt a soft sensation on my legs. As I opened my eyes I could see Apaels worried face smiling at me while resting her on me. It was obvious she forced herself to crawl on her knees to make her way to me because of her worry. It made my heart feel warm.

I pulled her onto my lap, kissing her in front of everyone to claim my sovereignty over her. After our quick kiss, I felt a lot better. I looked towards the rest of the sins. "Does anyone know where my father is? I was hoping he could help me with some changes."

Ayepe looked up at me before speaking softly. "Lord he left after Apael informed us that you were leaving for some training. He looked worried as he left in a hurry."

I frowned closing my eyes wondering what could cause my father to worry to the point that he would leave in a hurry. He never seemed afraid even when standing in front of the sins so it was quite worrisome that he left.

Taking a deep breath I stroked Apaels hair. It was really calming but it also felt wrong. Honestly, I preferred it when she took charge of me and spoiled me like I was doing to her. "Everyone rise and be seated. We have much to discuss. As the demon lord I need to make some changes for my people."

Apael tried to stand to sit with the others but I pulled her down back onto my lap refusing to let her leave me. Marog and Arog looked at each other worried especially with how they treated me. Marog looked worse since he cut me up quite a bit at the tournament.

"First we are no longer going to force others to be warriors. The children that were taken away to learn fighting will be given a choice. If they want to become warriors they can stay and learn. If not we are going to open up the borders for demons to change towns. So if they feel better learning one of the other sins they can go to where they will flourish not bound by where they were born."

Everyone looked shocked that no one thought to open up the borders to switch kingdoms. They have gone to visit other places but never thought of changing kingdoms permanently. I raised my hands creating 8 pillars with 8 levels that had all 7 sins.

"Each kingdom will have one of these to test that aptitude of each demon to find what sin is best for them. Then they can make a choice on how they want to live. I will continue visiting the other kingdoms and make changes if the need arises."

Arog swallowed nervously before speaking up. "My lord if we do not force anyone it will weaken your forces. You called for every demon to get ready for battle and wraith is the most destructive force demons can wield."

I smiled at Arog. "Yes but if they can only harness a small amount of wraith they will be useless buit if they can harness a higher level with a sin they can control better then they will become pillars of the army instead of fodder to be disposed of in petty skirmishes."

After answering his question I looked towards Marog witch sent chills down his spine. "You promised to stay by my side with the bet so I expect you to hone your skills to the max. I look forward to your growth general Marog." I made sure to emphasize the word general. I saw a lot of potential in him and hope he can prove to be a pillar of my force.

"Apael meet me at Oria's kingdom. I am going to journey alone on foot to hone some of my abilities." I could feel that she was going to argue so I kissed her gently before whispering a promise to let her have some fun once we meet up in the next kingdom.

Once the meeting was over I sent every sin to their own kingdom to wait for me.
