15 Chapter 15 response

I looked into Apaels eyes. "I agree. "I let out a groan as I looked around the house we barely spent 30 minutes in. "C-can I as least take a rest before we begin our journey"

Apael laughed. "Of course demon lord we will set off tomorrow morning. I will meet you here just before the sun rises." Once she finished her words she got up with a humble bow to me before leaving.

My father and I did not bother to unpack anything since we would leave early in the morning. Instead, we went to the stairway to heaven to watch some of the older generations try to break the shackles on their mortal bodies. It was an amazing sight to behold different races all trying hard to climb to the top.

Some humans formed groups and tried to suppress the other races from making it higher. After watching for hours, not a single person made it to the top; only about two will make it every 50 to 100 years.

"Dad, Why do the humans try to fight the other races instead of all working together or just minding their own business and trying by themselves?" It was very confusing seeing all the conflict. I thought there would not be as much conflict once people reached higher levels.

"You see, humans are greedy. They believe they are superior in every way since they were the first to coin the term cultivation. But they do not realize every race has ways to grow stronger and increase their strength but have different terms. The thing is any one of the races can use cultivation so they believe they are responsible for increasing strength."

"Demons will focus on Sinergy. I will not delve too deep into that since you will go to the demon realm and learn more about your demon lineage. Beastkin have core refinement witch similar to cultivation, but they increase their core from their bloodline, increasing their heritage strength, and they can then pass that on through their offspring. You are already familiar with human cultivation since you learned about it a while ago."

I nodded and grabbed my father's hand as we walked back towards home. "Since I have a mana core, does that mean I am considered human?"

"You are something special, an Asura. There can only be one asura at any given time. They usually have multiple types of bloodlines. You are a dragon demon asura and since you have a human form, you can cultivate a mana core. So theoretically, you will be able to cultivate sinergy and condense a beast core. I do not know how to condense one so we will need to get a beastkin to train you in that aspect if you would like to."

I nodded, starting to hurt at all the different ways to gain strength that had just opened up to me. My system has not given me access to a shop or anything useful and has been oddly dormant, as if something does not want me to gain strength since I killed those innocent women in the bandit camp.

Once we got home I decided to rest before our journey to the demon realm. Waking up early in the morning I put on some leather armor my two daggers and a shortsword on my hip. I have been falling in love with having more weapons on me. Sadly I can not carry any more or else it is harder for me to move around. After a light meal I met with Apael and we all started our journey.

"My lord there are many things that I need to tell you about the demon realm." Apael started to talk more about things I would need to know.

First, the demon realm had more of a hierarchy in how things are run. The top is me the demon lord. Second is the 7 deadly sins as my main generals and rulers of my 7 kingdoms. They have ranks but she was going to have them introduce themselves and rank to me once we arrive. Below the sins are the dukes that are in charge of the smaller towns under the sins. Then below the dukes are despodents. They are guards and warriors. Then there are commoners but the most shocking thing is all the ranks and people can change. If a commoner has strong sinergy, they can challenge someone stronger; if they kill them, they will take their rank and role. The only position that can not be challenged is the demon lord.

Apparently, my demon lord bloodline is weak as of now but as it grows my words can control every demon and I can give out buffs of power. As it gets stronger the more I can do I could even order a demon to kill themselves and they would do it with no hesitation just because of the bloodline suppression. So I will need to work on awakening fully to guarantee my safety.

Now there is the capital where the demon academy and the demon lord live. The demon academy teaches how to use sinergy and more combat techniques. Killing is usually prohibited but there can be sanctioned duels to the death. The 7 kingdoms of sin are Pride, Greed, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, Lust and Sloth. Now each sin also can warp demons in certain ways if they are too weak. But they can also harvest power from sins in unconventional ways as well.

As we kept talking I could not wait to see what kind of world awaited me. The fights to come and even getting to go to an academy early and experience school life. We started approaching a small town that had demons everywhere and as we entered the town I saw a giant archway made out of obsidian and a red portal.

"Let's go my lord that will teleport us about 3 miles from the capital" Apael grabbed me and my father to make sure we stayed together through the teleportation.

As my vision warped and finally refocused, I saw a breathtaking sight nothing that I expected.

I saw some blue sky but as it was starting to get dark out the sky turned red. The clouds looked ashy as the light made it look as if they were aflame. There was still some lava and flames around, but what really attracted my attention was the beautiful water that flowed through the capital and off over an edge that seemed bottomless.

"Be careful of the river of reincarnation. It consumes the souls of anyone that gets close some will reincarnate but unlucky ones will be destroyed to grant it more power. If you look, you can see the souls of those that died in the mortal realm. The river will hold them to wash away their past some of them prisoners from long ago, some just waiting to be cleansed and eaten. A lucky few being reborn."

Apael continued to speak, "But if there is a strong demon lord, they can pluck souls from the river and morph them into lesser demons to be used in the army. Some lucky ones gain enough sentience to cultivate and grow stronger."

I gasped in surprise at the thought of being able to control and morph these souls into my own little army.

"Come, Amadea let us meet the sins." With that apael brought me toward the palace.
