21 The end of the battle

"Charge!!!" the twenty men shouted as all of them ran straight toward the enemy's unprotected back with their weapons. Even the sound of the twenty of them shouting and screaming attracted the attention of Frigs from far away.

They came down, like a boulder, with the biggest impact as the enemies were still shocked, "Spare none of them! For Sir Edward and the wounded villagers! Revenge them all!"

IT was not a second later that the enemies screamed, "Stop! Stop!"

"Spare us!"

"I don't want to fight anymore!"

Demoralized because of the disappearance of their commanders, the two spoiled kids that have been placed to deep sleep. And adding the fact the manoeuvre of hammer and anvil, they lost their morale to fight.

Some dropped their weapons only to be struck with the weapons of the villagers and placed to sleep. Some dropped their weapons as well, and as fast as they could, they ran away from the battlefield.

The villagers looked at each other, smiles slowly emerged on their face and they raised their hands, "We win! We win this battle! The enemy lost and ran away!"

Naturally, the one that's most happy were Frigs, but even he lost to the sound of the villagers, "Well, they really are energetic, not like me-"

All of a sudden, from the distance, barely visible to his eyes, Frigs saw dozens of cavalries, with a bulky man, presumably the commander, right in the front of the formation. The bulky man shouted, "Charge! Provide help to our people!"

Then from another corner of his eyes, he saw another army emerging; they were led by another bulky, muscular looking guy that was noticeable even from afar. Frigs quickly shouted, "Enemies reinforcement! Take care of the wounded and return to your position! Repair the wooden stakes!"

The captured enemy's soldiers smirked, "Well, now you see, right? The true strength that we have been hiding!"

"Hahaha! Look at them, trembling just upon this sight!"

"Hahahaha"

The villagers, even though in fear just because of the sound and the shaking on the ground, did as they ordered. When their eyes saw the two armies coming upon them, they couldn't help and fell to the floor. Though, Frigs soon realized what the two armies were about, "Jarvis? And… who is that?"

Jarvis, from afar, squinted his eyes and when he realized, a big smile formed on his face, "Stop! Stop! Stop charging and change course to the cavaliers over there!"

The cavalier's commander, the bulky man, stopped and squinted his eyes. He then took a piece of paper from his pocket and his eyes widen, "Men! Halt your horses, right now! That is not our enemies! The enemies are that army of beggars there!"

Louis came running to Frigs, "Sir! It seems that the two of them are going to fight!"

Frigs, sweating nervously, he made a decision, "Louis! Gather the villagers and follow me to the two armies, I will see what they are up to!"

He then spurred the horse, and it took off, galloping as fast as he could, passing the villagers and approaching the two armies. Soon, he arrived, around 30 metres away from the location of the two armies presumably going to make an impact, "Halt! Halt!"

Jarvis and the commander of the cavaliers extended their arms, and both armies stopped. The commander of the cavaliers then spurred his horse and trotted toward Frigs, "Sir Edward, was it? I apologize for not getting off of my horse, but I believe the situation is dire. And so, the Baron of Bareth, sent me, Paul, as a reinforcement"

Frigs nodded, "You are late, my armies, the 50 villagers, defeated them"

Paul was surprised. He immediately got off of his horse and got on his one knee, "I deeply apologize, my lord! If only we were to come here sooner!"

Jarvis, with his giant sword resting on his shoulder, patted the man on his back, "Sir Paul, even if you didn't come, Edward here would have won. All the students in this school couldn't compare to him!"

Clap

Clap

Appearing out of nowhere, from Frigs's right direction, were the teacher, clapping, "Well done! Well done, Edward! Thought that you wouldn't be able to handle the army that outnumbered you five to one, but you did it!"

Jarvis and Paul were shocked, "Five to one?"

He only nodded as a response, "Anyway, Ms Sophia, what will happen to the two spoiled kids if one of my villagers died because of the use of their weapons? What I saw when observing the situation earlier was none other than the use of non-blunted weapons"

One of the villagers, Nicholas, shouted from afar as he ran toward Frigs that was slowly getting off of his horse at this point, "Sir Edward! Sir Edward! One of the villagers, David! Have passed away from his injuries!"

Frigs sighed as he slightly smiled and saddened at the same time, "Speak of the devil…"

His teacher sighed and crossed her arms, Frigs then turned around and placed his hand on the boy's shoulder while he is still panting, "Tell them to wait for me, I will finish this talk and visit the brave soldier!"

Nicholas nodded and turned around. Frigs himself turned around as well and sighed once again before talking to his teacher, "You see what I'm talking about? I'm sure you are in the battlefield as well and saw the weapons those people were using!"

She nodded, "I will talk about this matter tomorrow, for now, you shall go and visit the body of the brave soldier"

She left the scene shortly after that, Frigs then turned around to Paul and Jarvis, "You two, I'm sorry that I brought you here and it turned out to be a waste of time. I shall dismiss you two from this place, thank you"

They both smiled, nodded and departed with their own armies, Frigs too, went on his own way, toward the body of the brave soldier.
