1 PROLOGUE

The whole city of Ravenbrook was dark and drenched, as arrows of rain threw themselves in every direction around town. The Great storm seemed so strong that it could blow off a man's rooftop at any point in time, and lightning struck like a fully charged bolt against fertile trees.

But not everyone took cover under this chilly outpour, there was still a man, dressed in a black raincoat and a black mask over his mouth. He walked in the rain like a normal guy would take an afternoon stroll, and no matter how hard you scrunched, he did seem normal.

This man's eyes were crystal blue, they held truth. A little strand of red hair dropped down from his hoodie-covered hair and slid down into the middle of his nose. He looked professional, like a man that just retired from his daily from his day job and was supposed to be home early.

He did seem professional...

After trotting for what seemed like hours, he took a stop at an apartment and rang repeatedly on the doorbell, anticipating for attention. But finally, someone answered. "Christoph, is that you--" The woman who spoke opened up the door but it wasn't who she thought it was. "Sorry do I know y-"

(STAB!) There was a thrusting sound of a knife, and it went into her belly. The woman looked down at her stomach and flashed again.

"The dagger was poisoned with a Psionic's blood," The red-haired man said and smirked. "Strong enough to kill an old friend."

That voice. She recognized that voice, and it didn't strike good memories. "Nathan," She managed, the poison was stinging her through.

"Long time no see, Gemma." He waved at her.

Gemma dropped down to the floor, her inner soul begging to live. She activated her barriers, knowing how useless they were against a Psionic's blood. A demon could have healed himself but she lay down there, helpless and defeated by the protagonist who had long been hunting for her.

That was it-- the end to her miserable life.

Christopher awoke from his meditation and looked into the nothingness. "Mother!"
