Skysea Alliance Tournament, Part 8

The city bustled with activity now that the Skysea Alliance Tournament was in full-swing. Tournaments attracted people, so visitors from all over the east coast had traveled to Skysea City.

The city came to life once night fell. People swarmed the restaurants, delighting in delicacies and fine liquor.

In one of the finer restaurants, Gloxinia sat, talking with an unknown person.

This unknown person was a girl with beautiful white hair which sparkled like snow under the sun. Her icy blue eyes seemed to reflect the ocean itself, and with her pale white skin, it was reminiscent to a glacier in the ocean. Coupled with a pale white dress and snowflake necklace, she looked like an ice fairy.

That's right! This was the fairy born from the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass!

Right after the shrek battle, Gloxinia had gotten a notification from his system.

[Reporting to Host - Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass Fairy ready for harvest.]

Now, originally Gloxinia was a bit confused, as 7 days still hadn't passed... Well, that was until the system told him that the day she was planted counted as a day, thus the moment the time was the same as the time she was planted, it was ready for harvest.

Going to an abandoned alley, Gloxinia carefully looked around before quietly muttering to the system to take him to the Fairy King's Forest.

Arriving at the Fairy King's Forest, everything was the same except for 1 thing.

There was a 1 meter tall crystal at the spot he had planted the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass, obviously it was the Fairy that was ready for harvest!

Going up to the crystal, Gloxinia saw a small palm shaped hole which looked as if it was made specifically for his hand.

What was peculiar though, was that in that palm shaped hole there was a tiny diamond-like hole in the middle of the palm.

"Hey system, what's that diamond hole in the palm for?" asking his system to relieve his curiosity, Gloxinia held himself back from puttitng his palm there and took a step back, awaiting the systems response.

[Answering Host - That diamond shaped hole is called the Blood Drop Slot. It is for you to put your blood in so that you have complete control of the Fairy that is born. Placing a drop of blood in it will make it so that the Fairy will listen to you and only you, making it essentially a soldier you can control.

However, there is a downside. With absolute control, common sense and free will shall be taken away, making the Fairy nothing but a puppet who can only listen to you and do nothing else. This obviously means that both her instincts and battle sense will be gone, lowering her battle prowess.]

After hearing the effects of putting a drop of his blood in the Blood Drop Slot, Gloxinia started thinking about where both paths could lead.

In one hand, if he does put in his blood, he can rest asssured that the fairy wouldn't betray him and would always be willing to sacrafice herself for him.

In the other hand, if he doesn't put in his blood, the fairy would have much better effectiveness in combat and would be able to aid him more.

The problems though, was that if he does put in blood, he would have to constantly order her and that would definitely distract him during a battle.

As for not putting in his blood, he could be backstabbed and schemed on if the fairy has a bad temperament..

Mulling over his choices, Gloxinia chose not to put a drop of his blood in the slot.

He was a king after all, if he couldn't even have his subordinates stay loyal then perhaps he deserved to be killed.

With a decision made, Gloxinia went up and stretched out his palm, placing it in the hole.

Cracks suddenly started appearing on the crystal, starting from where he had placed his palm.

As the cracks spread through the crystal, a cold mist fogged out from the crystal, not allowing one to see whats inside.

Taking away his palm, Gloxinia backed up and gave the fairy enough space to come out.

Kchaak!

With a lout sound, the crystal immediately shattered into many small particles, snowing down on Gloxinia.

A second or so lateer, the mist lightened up a bit and a small silhoute was made visibly.

As the mist disappeared, the crystal was gone and in it's place stood a small figure with it's back to Gloxinia, leaving the only thing visible to be small blue wings.

As the figure turned it's head to look at Gloxinia, he felt his heart skip a beat.

A small girl was standing there, staring at him with icy-blue eyes and snow-like hair.

Weirdly, she didn't come out naked and instead wore a beautiful white dress and some accessories.

Quickly, coming out of his short daze, Gloxinia said, "Hello! I am your king, Gloxinia! Welcome to my Fairy Kingdom!"

And as if to showcase the magnificance of his kingdom, Gloxinia stretched his arms and smiled brightly, trying to be warm and welcoming.

In response to his effort, the fairy simply and coldly said, "I'm hungry."

'Damn.. this fairy sure sticks to her origin, so cold!' thinking this, Gloxinia forced a smile and responded, "Haha no worries, I'll take you to a good restaurant!"

Thus, this led us to where we are now, at the table of one of the private rooms at the Skysea Seafood Palace.

"So, what's your name? Or do you not have one?" Sitting at the table, Gloxinia looked at the girl infront of him and curiously asked.

"My name is Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass." harshly responding, Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass kept an indifferent expression and coldly gazed at Gloxinia.

This gaze was cold, but it wasn't meant to be rude. It was simply in her nature to be cold in everything she does.

Understanding this, Gloxinia simply ignored it and spoke once more, "That's too long and not really a name for a person! If you don't have any names other than that how about Li Xue? It uses the characters Li, meaning Beautiful and the character Xue, meaning Snow! Together, it means Beautiful Snow!"

Hearing the name Gloxinia gave her, Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass, now known as Li Xue, nodded and finally broke her indifferent expression, with a small smile on her face.

This smile, was all it took for Gloxinia to dumbly stare at her in a daze.

Noticing Gloxinia's stare, Li Xue's expression shifted once more, becoming a slight blush with her eyes looking down shyly. This just prolonged Gloxinia's daze.

Author's Note: Li Xue's personality is based off being cold but she still has every feeling others do, she is just neutrally cold. Her mentality is also currently slightly childish because she was just born, though she also has a slight maturity due to the age of the fruit she was born from.

Also, sorry for the delay I didn't notice the time pass when I was playing a game.
