Faced with the three different heaven and earth treasures which were all relatively powerful, Gloxinia first asked, "Is there any side effects for any treasures other than what's listed?"

Hearing his question, Ju Dikong was slightly surprised that such a young boy was so cautious, but still gave an answer, as it was mandatory to do so if asked. "Yes, all three have more side effects, do you wish to see them?"

Nodding to show his affirmation, Ju Dikong passed him a different catalog.

Viewing the catalog, Gloxinia noticed that although most of the heaven and earth treasures from the previous catalog were listed, there were also some missing.

Most likely because their side effect was listed in the previous catalog or they didn't have one.

Near the end, he found the side effects for the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and for the Water Crsytal Peach.

Unsurprisingly, as the Lava Fruit already had its side effect listed, it wasn't on this catalog.

The Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass' page said,

'Although an Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass at 1,000 years is strong, it is too young and thus easily loses energy if not preserved properly.

Not only that, but if a soul master tries to consume it without necessary strength, their organs will freeze up, leaving death as the only option for them.

Finally, it is said that a Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass had ascended to godhood in the past, meaning anyone and everyone who consumes one will become cursed.'

As for the Water Crystal Peach, it said,

'The Soul Master who consumes this peach will have their cultivation speed sped up but their soul energy will drop slightly in quality, meaning they will be slightly weaker than those in the same stage.

However, they will gain the ability to become stronger near water, bringing their ability to the same level as their peers or higher if they fight near water. But, they will also be targetted by sea creatures and will be supressed by other water-type Soul Masters.'

With the side effects clearly listed, Gloxinia didn't hesitate anymore and directly pointed at one of the fruits on the catalog, saying, "I want this Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass!"

"Are you sure? It's been with us for a while because of the curse, so choose carefully." Pushing his glasses up a bit, Ju Dikong reminded the young boy in front of him.

Although Ju Dikong wasn't a saint or anything, he still didn't want to see the next generation carelessly consume heaven and earth treasures just to become weaker.

"En, it's alright." responding in a slightly softer tone, Gloxinia reconfirmed his selection.

"Very well, please go to the main desk, they will give it to you there."

That night, in the Fairy King's Forest.

"Alright system, do I just plant it or what?" Gloxinia asked, wanting to know the procedures for planting a fairy.

Walking up to the Sacred Tree, Gloxinia awkwardly held out the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and waited for the Sacred Tree to take it.

After a few seconds, branches from the Sacred Tree went towards the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and wrapped it up, causing an egg-like shape made of wood to appear where it once was.

As the branches retreated back to the Sacred Tree, a spot on it seemingly opened up and swallowed the wooden egg whole, before everything went back to how it was.

Not even a minute later, at a spot not far from the sacred tree, a crystalized seedling sprouted and continued growing at amazing speeds, gradually reaching Gloxinia's knee before it stopped growing.

'Why is it a seedling when it's supposed to be Octaagonnal Mysterious Ice Grass? Shouldn't it look like grass?'

And as if it heard his thoughts, a system notification showed up in front of him.

Looking at the system notification in front of him, Gloxinia was both grateful but also slightly hesitant.

He didn't really like that a being was listening to his thoughts all the time and that it could know everything he knew.

Eastsea City's month-long calm came to an end with the new school semester starting and was once again bustling with noise and excitement.

Students streamed into the academy, all of them brimming with positivity. This was their second semester. After they finished it, they would advance to the next grade. Though they looked forward to moving up a grade, the dreaded grade promotion exams loomed over them.

For those attending an intermediate Soul Master academy, they absolutely had to have reached two rings by the time they graduated from their six years in the elementary division, otherwise they wouldn't be issued a graduation diploma. On the other hand, those in the advanced division needed to have three rings to properly graduate.

Regardless of the academy, not every student could meet this requirement. Those in the upper grades would be extremely pressed for time.

Students in the first two grades were still able to relax though. The urgency of advancing their cultivation was still at the back of their minds.

Entering the academy, Gloxinia first saw an expressionless Gu Yue wearing the academy uniform.

She had a delicate appearance, but wasn't particularly pretty. At least, she was still far from Xu Xiaoyan's level. Her unique temperament, however, had a dominating effect on others. Even Xie Xie found himself affected by her; only Tang Wulin and Gloxinia seemed immune to her charms.

Ordinary students would feel as if they were a low-level soul beast facing a powerful soul beast.

Gu Yue had grown taller and prettier over the last semester, which somehow condensed her domineering aura.

Ignoring her for the time being, Gloxinia walked to Class Zero.

Outside of the teacher's building.

"Teacher Wu, please take care of this student. We've examined her and she definitely qualifies to enter class zero." Long Hengxu solemnly told Wu Zhangkong.

Wu Zhangkong shifted his eyes towards Long Hengxu before lowering his head to look at the timid girl before him. He coldly said, "My class only accepts monsters, not ordinary people. Do you really think she qualifies? She only has one ring."

Long Hengxu frowned. "Speaking of which, Teacher Wu, I think your class zero could use some adjustment. There's no problem with Gloxinia, Gu Yue and Xie Xie, but why is Tang Wulin still there? Although his bloodline helps in combat, it doesn't matter if he can't improve his cultivation! Also, why does class zero still need to exist? I found a genius for you yet you're making all sorts of excuses. I'm going to ask the academy to close down class zero since you only have four students then."

Also, what do you want the fairy born from the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass to be called? I was thinking like Li Xue because it means pretty snow but what do you guys think?
