42 Fighting Wu Zhangkong, Part 2

"Not good enough. Try again." Harshly giving out his appraisal, Wu Zhangkong coldly spoke and brandished his Skyfrost Sword once more, causing a chill to spread across the area.

As a grave expression replaced his usual playful one, Gloxinia lifted his hand and all the daggers around the field converged into one, creating Basquias' spear form.

As Gloxinia's second spirit ring started to glow, Basquias' spear form extended and grew bigger, forming it's guardian form.

At the same time, Gu Yue was preparing to create a blizzard of ice and fire to overwhelm Wu Zhangkong.

As Gloxinia waved his hand, Guardian rushed up to Wu Zhangkong and started sending punches at him.

Unfortunately, all of them were blocked by the Skyfrost Sword, causing wind to fly around.

Using his Nature Connection, Gloxinia sneakily controlled the wind that was being moved to move towards Wu Zhangkong's head, planning to deprive him of oxygen until he gives up.

At this time, Gu Yue had finished preparing her attack and sent out a massive tornado of fire and ice towards Wu Zhangkong, causing him to use his first spirit ring once more, creating a net that repelled both guardian and the tornado.

Luckily, this gave Tang Wulin who was waiting at the side a chance to attack.

With his golden dragon claw brandished, Tang Wulin sent a fierce punch at Wu Zhangkong, who once more blocked it with the Skyfrost Sword.

Finally, enough wind to deprive him of oxygen had built up and Gloxinia controlled it to spin around Wu Zhangkong's head, spinning counter-clockwise to drive the air out of his lungs.

As his breath became fainter, Wu Zhangkong let go of the Skyfrost Sword and positioned his hands as claws, causing a pull feeling to build up in Gloxinia.

As soon as he felt this, he was pulled towards Wu Zhangkong's hand and had his neck grabbed, causing him to disperse the wind out of surprise.

Fortunately, he wasn't someone who would waste a chance. Since he was so close to Wu Zhangkong, he controlled the wind he had used previously and used it as spikes, attack Wu Zhangkong's arm.

As cuts appeared on his arm, Wu Zhangkong was forced to let Gloxinia go and summon his Skyfrost Sword again, defending against the wind.

At this time, Xie Xie finally got his chance to contribute and used his soul skills, Light Dragon Storm and Shadow Dragon Storm at the same time, causing tornado-like constructs of light and shadow to appear around him, attacking Wu Zhangkong and pushing him back, creating an opening.

Taking advantage of this opening, Gloxinia turned Basquias into it's spear form and sent it flying towards it.

At the same time, a green glow appeared around Basquias, it was Gu Yue using the wind attribute to speed it up.

"My turn." coldly speaking, Wu Zhangkong's whole aura changed and he launched himself straight at Gloxinia, the most troublesome of the four.

As he reached Gloxinia, he planned to use his hand to grab his face and slam it on the floor, knocking him out.

As he got closer and closer, Gloxinia's expression changed from grave to playful, causing Wu Zhangkong to be slightly confused and hesitant.

Unfortunately, even if he was hesitant, there was nothing he could do now as it was already too late.

"Gotcha!" letting out an excited yell, Gloxinia waved his hand and spikes made from earth flew up from the floor, directly striking his arm, stomach, and both legs, bringing him all the way up to the ceiling and trapping him there.

'Where did the earth come from?! We're on the third floor!' thinking this, Wu Zhangkong's first spirit ring lit up once more and the spikes of earth were all cut up, causing him to fall downwards.

'Ah.. that didn't work?!' as a grim expression crept up onto Gloxinia's face, he waved his hand and Basquias flew towards Wu Zhangkong who was falling and had no mobility.

Unfortunately, he underestimated Wu Zhangkong, as he used Basquias as a step to boost himself downwards and grabbed Gloxinia's face, pushing it to the floor and knocking him out.

Afterwards, he rushed to Gu Yue and knocked her out as well, although a bit more gently.

Needless to say, Tang Wulin and Xie Xie were light work without their support, thus being knocked out aswell.

Waking up a hour later, Gloxinia noticed he was neither at the infirmary or his dorms. Instead, he was in Wu Zhangkong's quarters.

Noticing Gloxinia waking up, Wu Zhangkong stood up from where he was sitting and walked closer to him, coldly saying, "How come you can control the elements like Gu Yue? Where did those earth spikes come from?"

Awkwardly standing up from where he was, Gloxinia scratched the back of his head sheepishly and responded, "Ahaha, I dunno! I was just able to do it since I can remember!"

"Even before you awoke your martial soul?" harshly questioning him, Wu Zhangkong looked at him with a curiuous look in his eye.

"Oh no, no, I could do it right after I woke it up!" hurriedly waving his hands, Gloxinia responded.

"Hm.. I see. It's most likely your bloodline then, your martial soul woke it up and now your bloodline is giving you abilities. This is similar to Tang Wulin's situation with his Golden Dragon Claw, which is also part of a bloodline." coldly analyzing the situation, Wu Zhangkong hurried him out so he can think, "Now you can go, I'll look through some books and see if I find any similar situations."

"Ok ok, bye!" saying his goodbyes, Gloxinia walked back to his dorm.

'Although I knew sooner or later someone would question my abiltiies, it's good that he assumed it's from a bloodline! I can just keep blaming it on this!'
