22 Event Crate Rush

What is an event crate rush? Well, it's an event where players hunt monsters to earn tokens, which they can then use to open an event crate. There are two methods to open an event crate. The first is the roulette method, which is cheaper but relies on luck. The second is the direct approach, where players gather enough tokens to purchase items directly from the crate, which is more expensive. An event crate is packed with a variety of items and resources, but these resources are essentially accompanying the main item in the crate. The main or top item is always ten or even twenty times better than the other items in the crate. Essentially, the other items in the crate serve as obstacles to make it more challenging for other players to obtain the main item easily.

And why is it a rush, you ask? Well, event crates only exist for a certain period of time. For example, an event crate can appear today and disappear tomorrow. It doesn't matter if no player ever saw the crate or participated in the event. It also doesn't matter if a player starts the event late. Once it's time for the crate to disappear, it vanishes immediately. The event is terminated, and all the unused tokens that players had collected become useless. So, players must participate in the event and gather tokens as quickly as possible to open the crate quickly.

The top item cannot appear in a crate more than once. Every top item in an event crate is unique and will never reappear. This makes obtaining the top item from an event crate a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. An event crate rush also spawns its own unique monsters.

Kyungsoo found himself momentarily frozen in shock, his gaze fixated on a familiar figure that left him confused. "What's he doing here?" Kyungsoo wondered inwardly. The figure he observed was none other than Ji-Hoon, who appeared preoccupied with his thoughts, lost in thought as he gazed into the distance. From Ji-Hoon's perspective, he was lost with a particular problem that consumed his attention.

{The successor has recently committed two taboos!}

{Firstly, the successor made love to women who weren't his wives or concubines!}

{Secondly, the successor mindlessly murdered humans without identifying their sins before passing judgment!}

{Thus the successor will be punished in 01:15:43}

Ji-Hoon's mind swirled with a mix of emotions. As he looked at the bizarre information in the status window, his initial shock soon gave way to a surge of frustration. "I knew this class was absolute dogshit," he muttered under his breath, "but what the actual fuck is this? Punishment? Taboos?"

Realizing that his annoyance wouldn't change the situation, he took a deep breath, pushing down his irritation. "Calm down," he told himself. "Getting worked up won't solve anything. I'll figure this out later. Right now, I need to stay focused, the event crate rush will be starting any time now. Although all these 'extras' here won't pose a threat to me, I'm better off safe than sorry."

With a sigh, Ji-Hoon reached up with his right hand and gently wiped his face. with a quick swipe, he closed the status window, hovering before him and refocused his attention on the challenges ahead.

Ji-Hoon was so engrossed in his thoughts that Seo-Yeon's voice took him by surprise. Startled, he turned to see her standing there, her eyes filled with uncertainty. She reached out and took his arm, holding it tightly against her chest. Her question hung in the air, "Oppa, do you think we'll still get the same classes we had in the previous apocalypse?"

Caught off guard, Ji-Hoon ponderd her question for a moment, his thoughts drifting away from the strange information he had just encountered. "Though the system gave me and the other top players gifts and restored everyone's memories from before the restart, it never mentioned anything about changing everyone's classes," he thought to himself. "But, realistically, I'm not in a position to know if something like that happened. It's probably best to prepare for the worst."

Turning his attention back to Seo-Yeon's earlier question, Ji-Hoon replied, "I honestly don't know, but it would be nice if it did happen that way. Having your previous experience could be a valuable asset in improving your new battle style."

Seo-Yeon expressed her desire with a soft, hopeful tone, saying, "I want it to happen that way, so I won't slow you down, oppa."

Ji-Hoon responded with a warm smile as he gently patted her head, reassurance in his gesture.

Observing the affectionate exchange between Ji-Hoon and Seo-Yeon, Min-Seo couldn't help but feel a tad left out. With a playful pout, she protested, "Oppa, you're not paying enough attention to me! It's not fair!" She held Ji-Hoon's hand tightly against her chest, seeking her share of his affection.

Ji-Hoon, with a hint of seduction in his tone, leaned in and whispered to Min-Seo, "Just be patient, Min-Seo. Once this event is over, Oppa will shower you with lots of love." His words made her blush, and she leaned in even closer, saying, "That's a promise, okay?"

Meanwhile, as Kyungsoo remained frozen in shock, Woo-ji couldn't help but notice his distressed expression and inquired, "Hey, are you okay? You look like you've just seen a ghost."

Ji-Min chimed in with a playful tease, "Woo-ji, don't poke the poor guy. He's stiffer than a board, like one of those melodramatic shogun manga heroines who couldn't handle a rejection after pouring her heart out."

Ji-Min playfully added, "Or maybe he must have seen his ex with another man. That's the only explanation for this level of shock."

Woo-ji interjected with a cold tone, "Cut it with the drama, Ji-Min."

Kyungsoo's tone shifted to seriousness as he suddenly spoke up, "No more fooling around, guys. This event just got a whole lot harder."
