There was a God that slaughtered thousands of legions of demons. He earned that title after he found and cultivated the Book of Law of Slaughter. After becoming a God and ascending, he left his shrines in the Land of Ashura and blessed his followers.
If one would become his follower, he would grant them the Law of slaughter. Further cultivating the Law into many ranks until one would reach Legendary to Mythical.
The same with the other Gods out there. They would offer their blessings to their followers and treat them with care. As far as Lumiel has known, they have been expanding their influence over the past thousand years.
They were hiding their fangs throughout the years. Also, they were conserving their forces before anything happened that was on the level of extinction.
The God of Darkness was one example. He mastered the Book of Law of Darkness and then ascended. He was slowly regaining his divinity after the Primordial wars and then went to seclusion to conserve their strength.
The God of Light also did the same thing. He was continuing to gather followers and was also sending his avatars to meet his followers face to face. He cultivated the Book of Law of Light to its peak and then ascended. As for his world, it was constantly attacked by Demon gods. The same with the other gods. They were also attacked.
The God of Wisdom was a peculiar fellow. As he did not have the same number of followers as the other Gods. He has his world but more peaceful than the other worlds. He separated his world's dimension from the rest and hid it from the detection of the Demon gods.
Next was the God of War who had many devout followers. As someone who wants to fight demons, being his follower would be a great start. As for his powers, he would grant the follower the skills that he has acquired slowly by cultivating the power of Law. Each rank of his martial path would unlock the skills he has to receive.
The Book of Law of War was passed down to the mortals but was lost to the demons. Making it a bitter struggle to retrieve them. As for the other Book of Laws, they were in the hands of the Demon gods.
There were instances when the Gods wanted to retrieve the Book of Laws but it would mean that they would wage war on Hell itself. They would do the necessary things to deal with it but it would be a tad hard to finish it up when it started.
The next candidate was the God of Hunting. He has his shrines in several places in these lands of Venafar. He was the God of Hunters as such was an expert in hunting. Though he was not the most influential, he was one of the best gods to choose when hunting was the topic. As such, he was the go-to when hunters were to find his blessings.
Though when it comes to fighting all the evils, he was least superior when it comes to battle prowess. There were even more suitable candidates for it.
Next were the three Gods of the land. The God of Nature, God of Seas, and, God of Skies. They were the three that comprised the major influence in the north. Making them their Gods was indeed a good choice as they were blessed with abundance.
Next were the God of Life and the God of Death. These two were opposing Laws but they cooperated. One was handling the preservation of life while the other one guided the dead to the afterlife.
The God of Undying was also a major power. They were bordering the Law of Life and Death as one would say. They were unkillable when it came to war and they were neither dead nor alive. Due to the skill of their God, they were a resilient faction.
Next was the God of Chaos. With a power that was hard to tame, it was a major faction that was defending against demons. It is one of the major three factions that has the greatest prowess and influence when it comes to warfare. Namely the God of Slaughter, The God of War, and the God of Chaos.
The next God was called the God of Order. He was tasked with setting order in the world. Albeit opposing the Law of Chaos, he was a power that rivaled it. Though not as much influence in warfare as one would describe it.
The last God was the one who created the Book of Laws. He was none other than the God of Creation. He created the Book of Laws for the mortals to ascend to Godhood. Using his divine sparks to forge the Books, he was able to make a Book that cultivates the soul and creates Divinity in the soul realm. Making a divine nature to the said person that would make him ascend.
As for the God of Time, it has yet to be seen. As the Book of Law of Time was lost. As for the Book of Law of Time, he would have to find it.
