CHAPTER 17:~DAWN~

~DAWN~

~GOLDEN EYES~

Rowan who had just been excused from a private meeting walked through the large area which comprised of many people in multi colours. Because of his handsome face and cold temperament many people stole glances at him not minding the colour of the cloth he was wearing which was grey with a strip of black which looked more dignified on his body.

He took notice of the number of guards and camera flashing red everywhere,this base was somewhat weird but it was slightly better than the one in the states,the most odd one was that they were able to convert the  crystals that they found in the zombies to some kind of energy and could possibly be transferred to an ability for human.

"Did you hear what happened?"a lady said in Chinese.

"What?did something happen?"the other lady said.

"A guest beat up one of the LYCAN twins!"the lady said.

"WHAT!"The other lady shouted out catching some attention making the lady beside her embarrassed.

But the conversation did not pass Rowan ears making him wonder.

As far as he knew they were the only guest that just got into this base,

Rowan kept pondering on how to pass the news to his team from the meeting he had,after a moment of hesitation he walked forward towards the guest quarters which was not far from the main hall.

On the other side a lady with slightly long white hair with a ting of red was just discharged from the infirmary and had restored her lost energy was in her room seated on the bed but the burning hate and humiliation in her deep eyes made her to almost made her sick.

Her twin was currently with some trusted allies of their family,the LYCAN family was a big influential family which was fourth to the top influential family in china.

The rest are irrelevant,many citizens have known that the steel family and LYCAN family had this generational hatred for each other,they rarely associated with each other.

"Mom,I got bullied by that bitch!"Allen said with a aggrieved expression.

"Don't cry baby,don't worry I will find the bitch who did this to you and you can do everything you want with the bitch"a woman said who was in her late twenties as she carressed Allen's face with her eyes brimming with viscousness.

"You will do that for me!"Allen said slightly surprised.

"Of course baby,no one can bully my baby and get away with it"the woman said as a cold light flashes through her eyes very quickly.

"Thank you mom you are best!and don't forget I need more crystals!"Allen said.

"Ok baby,don't worry some crystals will be shipped in by tomorrow"the woman said then kissed Allen forehead and patted her head before heading out of the room.

"I want every single information about girl and don't raise suspicion,I don't want my husband to know this"the woman said and walked a few steps but paused.

"Make sure you find that lady at the base,you can do whatever you want with her but I want her alive,you know the location"the woman said and glanced at the man dressed in black beside her coldly making him to smirk.

"What are you still doing here moron!"the woman said and the man walked away and some burly men followed behind him.

In new York city

Mitchell had been having some struggles lately because the property which was sold had made things difficult.

The relatives of the patients had already  started to retrieve their family members from the care home which was good news but the bad news was that there isn't enough money to pay the workers salary and wages.

Layla was not currently in the country which she did not know the reason why she travelled.

Stella who had been discharged was presently in Matthew house because he said it wouldn't be safe for only her to be alone at her house,so she is temporarily living in Matthew house which resided near a oil company which worked 24 hours and from the way Matthew talked it seemed she hasn't fully gotten back on her feet.

In the meeting room Mitchell was found seated at the end of the round funished table and consisted of some important workers which were of maximum of ten  with six women and four men.

"What are we going to do now?"the lady in blue said with a worried expression.

"Yes,and where did Layla go to anyway,she is our director and she just abandoned the care home, she is so shameless!"the lady beside the other lady in blue sneered.

"Yeah it's true,why would Layla abandon the care home?then she is not worthy of the post,let us remove her then and elect another person into the post"the lady in blue said with some other too who heard the words had an expression of agreement and realization and secretly accusing Layla .

Mitchell who was seated in the room rubbed her forehead in distress.

"Can you guys please stop!"Mitchell said with an exhausted voice but it was loud enough.

The room fell silent for a while and some whispering was heard.

"I know Layla traveled but I assure you she is coming back soon and who says we should remove her,you guys are all ingrates to have forgotten all she has done for this care home!,and even if you want to elect another person can you guys at least give her some respect of her being present,and this matter is closed until further notice, instead of shamelessly appointing leaders why don't use your effort to make this care home last longer,the virus is spreading very fast and who cares about being a director or not,we need to work together,just because Layla traveled doesn't mean she isn't doing anything,do you think she is happy about all that is going on in the care home,am so disappointed in you people!"Mitchell said and left the meeting room in anger.

The room was silent and the words of Mitchell kept echoing in their heads except for a particular person who glared at the door and secretly sneered and jeered at every one I the room before the person walked out of the meeting room in anger too.

"My plan may have failed this time but I won't give up,I pray Layla never comes back until my plan is ready,just you wait until I become the director!"the person said and smirked.

At the base...

The whole team were all in a room which consisted of Andrew, Bella, Layla, Joshua and lastly Rowan who looked hesitant which was surprising.

"So what is the news you wanted to tell us" Joshua said curiously.

Sigh!

"I had a meeting not quite long and there is both good news and bad news, the good news is they agreed to help us In the mission" Rowan said.

"So...what is the bad news?"bella asked instead.

".....the bad news is they want to do some minor experiment on each of us"Rowan said while gritting his teeth.

"No shit!"Joshua said immediately

"I don't want to be some fucking lab rat for this weird people,I watch movies man!,how they experiment and they turn into some beast it's become a fucking horror movie!"Joshua continued and the rest were in silence.

"What kind of experiment do they want to do?"Andrew said with a detached expression who seemed unnaturally calm.

" ..I don't know yet but I assure you the contract does not say any kind of harm would be inflicted"Rowan said folding is hands.

"Wait you already signed a contract!"Joshua said completely pissed off.

"Yes I had no other option it is just an experiment and it won't cost anything,it more like a small price to pay on how we get to develop the vaccine"Rowan said coldly.

"You-"Joshua was loss of words and sat down on the chair.

"Don't you think this place is somewhat weird!"bella asked.

"Yes I find it strange, because I had a chat with a girl she said a lot of things, like how they get strange abilities"Layla said.

"Do you think this a fucking apocalypse that we get abilities at the end of the world"Joshua joked.

"Can't you be serious for once"bella said sternly which made Joshua smile innocently.

"She demonstrated her own ability which was light but she said she was one of the weakest ability users in the base, bullying is regarded as a normal thing for the strong to do to the weak which is so ridiculous"Layla said.

"So it's true"bella mumured out while she secretly carressed her chest.

"Do we agree on this term,we have no time,the mission is tomorrow" Rowan said looking at every one.

"Agreed"bella was the first to talk and Rowan nodded.

"Me too"Layla said and Rowan nodded in acknowledgement.

"As long as we are successful in the mission"Andrew said with a sigh.

Joshua was seated next to Andrew as always was tapping his feet on the floor being the only one left to talk every one turned their head to look at him.

"What?"Joshua asked.

"You haven't said your opinion dumbass"bella retorted.

"My opinion doesn't matter,as long as Andrew agrees I agree"Joshua said making everyone to look at him weirdly.

Their looks were all having the same question.

"bro are you gay?"

"No am not...ew WTF no!"Joshua cringed in disgust after finding out what their thoughts were reacted immediately.

"Of all things GAY!,you guys don't even-.....am so disappointed in you guys"Joshua said throwing a tantrum.

"Why would I even think of fucking a man's fucking butthole full of shit?"Joshua said.

"Well you could be the bottom, looking at your body structures you don't qualify to be a top"Layla said with a smirk.

"Holy moly!,where did you know such things Layla!",Joshua said in disbelief.

"Just because I have an innocent look doesn't mean am innocent though"Layla said and rolled her eyes.

Andrew on the other side kept quiet and isolated himself,it wasn't his business anyway,he didn't really care about what Joshua and Layla were bickering about.

Meanwhile bella was lost In her thought as she remembered the scene that happened in her room.

A while ago....…

Bella who was investigating the strange crystal that was glowing red pulsing with strange energy.

Bella ring finger was suddenly injured by the sharp edge of the crystal that was stained with blood but the strange was that it seemed like it was absorbed at a very fast speed then the crystal lost it glow and bella felt a sizzling cold on her  chest.

The numbness of the cold made her feel like her heart was frozen and bella quickly opened her clothes and saw what looked like a strange mark which was freezing cold and it was painful to touch.

Bella gasped and stared in confusion then covered it up and wore her her cloth which was also grey.

Back to the present...

After they all made the agreement Rowan directed them to another side of the base where they would get their guns and stuffs for the mission.

The auction party is a mask party so they had much advantage, Layla mask was silver and black in colour in the sharp of a Phoenix and covered from her nose upwards the mouth was left bare.

Bella mask was totally black which was covered half of her face,Andrew mask was gold covering his entire face while Rowan mask was a little complicated with a black rim,silver laced with golden complementing each other.

The dresses were all bought by Rowan of course which was very expensive with lots of zero's but Rowan didn't even flinch at the price and brought all that was needed because it didn't even affect him the slightest.

Of course his handsome face didn't escape the ladies eyes as they tried to flirt and chat with him but Rowan stood like a straight log and coldly made a glance and never looked at them again,to him they weren't worth his time.

While at the base things weren't going well for dawn after the fight, friends that she had kept ignoring her and acting strangely towards her.

She suddenly became an out cast in the entire base,she began to wonder what did she do actually?.

"Can you please tell me what going?",dawn asked her friends who sat far away from her in the canteen.

they began to whisper to each other and jeered at dawn with a mocking glare,a lady who had a brown hair and had a blue glasses on the bridge of her tall nose moved forward and dawn watched  her while waiting for her response.

"Haven't you heard?"the lady in blue glasses said with a sarcastic expression.

"W-what?"Dawn asked.

"The LYCAN twins has declared that anyone who have any contact with you will be severely punished and will loose the opportunity to be part of the upcoming competition"the lady in blue glasses said making Dawn to gasp, of course why won't they not want to talk to her,no one in the base has the power to oppose the LYCAN twins authority and being their enemy was terrible likewise not being in the competition would disqualify you from becoming an agent and receive missions and would have to wait another 2 years which is the next competition.

"I.."Dawn was at loss of words,what could she say anyway the red sign as being placed on her and she is in deep trouble.

The lady in blue glasses enjoyed the broken Dawn and walked away confidently back to her friends seat who laughed and mocked Dawn.

Dawn abandoned her food which she found tasteless and walked out of the canteen while gaining some attention who just laughed at her and went back to what they were doing,to them she was more or less than a dead meat.

Dawn walked under the hot sun and hot tears filled her eyes.

"Just because she wasn't strong enough that was why she was always bullied and played around!"

Dawn walked to a random area and found a secluded place which was a pretty old container with moss and greens covered on it which had already turned brown due to the sun,the ace was dusty and quiet.

A perfect place for someone like her Dawn thought as she sat down on the abandoned dusty old chair and sniffed and wiped her tears.

"I didn't even do anything!,I wasn't even the one that got into a fight"Dawn lamented.

"Right!,it wasn't my fucking fault!it her fault that all this happened!"Dawn yelled out in the quiet place.

Resentment and blame was brimming within her and something peculiar happened and a pair of golden eyes opened and stared at Dawn with absolute playfulness.

Dawn flinched and felt like she was being watched and felt the leaves behind her rustle and she froze and slowly turned around.

A lady who had a pair of golden eyes that glowed with power and playfulness gazed deep at Dawn and smiled her face was blurred like a barrier was covering her face.

"W-who a-are you!"Dawn said in shock and disbelief.

"My!my!,so scared"the lady said and walked forward making Dawn unconsciously step back.

"Lady do you want power?"the lady said menacingly and advanced slowly and whispered like a devil trying to tempt Dawn who seemed to slowly fall under her spell.

"Y-yes..I..I mean n-no!"Dawn said stammering in fright.

"Your heart has spoken already,I know your pain Dawn"the lady said advancing forward again but this time Dawn stopped retreating.

"H-how did you know my name?"Dawn said shocked.

The lady chuckled with her sultry voice "I know many things my dear, especially someone as special as you".

"Am not special"Dawn whispered.

"That what others say because they don't see what I see"the lady said and secretly licked her lips and got closer to the vulnerable Dawn and whispered in her ear.

"I know how it feels to be alone,a weakling,a nobody,a waste!"the lady said moving back a little which made dawn flinch at the strong words.

"W... who are you exactly!"dawn said after summoning the courage.

"Me?,am someone who has done a lot of things,seen many worlds,I have absolute power to wipe a nation clean with a mere sneeze,that you don t need to know because I will be passing my powers to you"the lady said and smiled.

"W-wait me?,how is that even possible I..I can't!"dawn immediately denied with doubt and self blame bowing her head cowardly.

"Really?,then I will have to find someone else then".

The lady delebrately walked slowly while she smirked playfully.

Dawn began to shake and struggled while thought between two options.

"What are doing Dawn!,you found the power you wanted and you are just giving away!"a voice said in her head.

' right am still foolish,I should seize this power,I want revenge on them for what they have done to me,I will be more than them and make them kneel before me!'

"Wait!"dawn said with right hand stretched.

The lady stopped and turned around with evil glint in her eyes and her lips coiled up mischievously but the blur didn't make Dawn to see it.

"I..I want power!"dawn said confidently and stared at the blurred face.

"Alright!,let the ritual begin"the lady whispered a little Loud and walked forward with her hands glowing with evil light and dawn gasped at how strong  the power felt.

The lady body glowed and everywhere became bright and last thing dawn saw before passing out was a face that was directly identical to her own face with glowing golden eyes smiling mischievously.

"Zelda eluminei eiel!"the lady chanted and dawn felt a light touch on her forehead and everywhere went blank.
