~THE LYCAN TWINS~

Layla walked steadily towards the area while getting stares from the people who were walking around.

"Hi!"a lady dressed in red said as she scratched her head nervously.

"Hey!"Layla said and smiled making the lady blush.

"Am Dawn,what your name?" Dawn said stretching out her hand for a shake.

Layla looked at dawn who was slightly taller than her with a half moon shaped eyes which were beautifully carved up and a tall Asian bridge nose,with her lips pale pink,she had a great alethic figure that didn't suit her character.

"Am Layla" Layla said and returned the hand shake.

"You seem new here, looking at your cloth you must be a guest"dawn said.

"Oh yeah, would you mind explaining about this place,the clothes seem to give ranks or something"Layla said While she walked with dawn.

"Oh yes, naturally since the base has been created there has been ranks given to everyone according to their work or how strong they are!"dawn explained.

"Strong?,in what way?"Layla asked.

"Yeah,since the discovery of the infected they has been some measures taken,like when they discovered the crystal embedded in a zombie brain,it may sound magical but it is true,this crystals can give abilities!,like how I have properties of light"dawn said walking forward and showing a small light spark from her hand.

"Cool,can you do more!"Layla said deeply surprised.

"Sorry,am only one of the lowest rank so that all I can do"dawn said as she blushed in embarrassment.

"Oh!sorry"Layla apologized.

"No need, it quite as expected no one really cares about people like us"dawn said with a down cast expression.

"You mean they discriminate people who are not strong!"Layla said annoyed a little bit.

"Yeah it no biggie anyway,at least am thankful because they took me in, after my parents died I had no one to call family but they took care of me,it's my fault for not being strong, I never had the courage to go take a mission,now the infected are spreading tremendously"Dawn said.

"It's no one fault for not being strong!"Layla retorted.

"I wish I could say same for that,well the strongest rank are all purple,the instructors are all in black and gold"dawn said pointing at a man who was talking to some people.

"That is instructor Bettermen he is one of the best instructors of the base" dawn said, Layla looked at the man who was blonde and tall with a strict air around him, taking note of his name.

"But the weird thing is that we don't call them by name,rather code he is alpha-13,that is-"dawn kept explaining everything making Layla understand the system they used here was different from the others.

"And finally this is the sparring ground, it mostly used when we have a competition or some practice,but as a guest you can use the weapons here"dawn said smiling.

"Thanks,oh do you know anything about a place,it's quite heavily guarded and very secretive"Layla asked.

"No!,I have seen everywhere in this place and I know it with my eyes closed,I am certain I haven't come across any secret place"Dawn reassured.

"But-"Layla said but was cut off by a voice that was behind dawn.

"It seems we have a guest!" A lady said dressed in purple and her white hair which had red tips at the side was pushed back with a black head band, a lady who was by her side having the same face of the latter who seemed to her twin smirked and twirled her white hair which was longer than her twin's.

Dawn shivered unconsciously as she stepped back and moved closer to Layla.

"May I ask who you are?"Layla said politely to the girl who seemed younger than her.

The twin laughed and looked at Layla scrutinized her figure before glaring at dawn who hide behind Layla stupidly seeming to forget she was taller than Layla.

"I don't think she would last"the first twin said to her other one not minding if their subject was staring at them.

Layla ignored it and calmly looked at the two.

"Oh no wonder they are arrogant, highest rank"Layla thought.

"Incase you don't know us,we are the LYCAN twins and I hope you give some respect"one of the LYCAN twins said while she emphasized on the word 'LYCAN' like she was passing a message.

"Am sorry,but I don't know you,and just because you guys are whatsoever that doesn't mean you should loose some manners"Layla said with her eyes calm but her hand holding dawn clenched a little.

Arrogant bastards!

"What did you just say?!"the first twin said and glared at Layla.

"Am sorry,she is a guest here so she doesn't know the system In this place, please don't waste your time on her"dawn quickly said and dragged Layla towards the exit of the sparring ground.

"Wait I didn't say you should go yet!"the second twin said with a smug smile.

Dawn froze as glanced Layla who was getting more angry minutes.

"Am finished!" Dawn mumured as she turned around with a frightened smile.

"Y...yes"dawn answered, Layla turned around and stared at the twins coldly.

"Who do they think they are?!"Layla thought.

"Dawn come here!"the first twin said using her finger to gesture her to move forward.

Layla looked at Dawn who was already taking a step forward.

"How about we have a fight,I need to stretch my muscles today"the girl smirked and looked at dawn.

Just Great now she is going to be a punching bag again!

Dawn thought she knew she couldn't beat the LYCAN twin,she could only swallow in despair.

The loud voice of the twins caught the attention of the passerby as they curiously watched who had made twins angry.

Suddenly it gradually became crowded as they ignored the fact that they were restricted to enter the sparring ground.

~what Is going on?

~it seems the LYCAN twins are going to fight with dawn!

~ I feel so sorry for dawn

~who asked to piss of the twin the first place.

~look at that guest she is just watching,hmph nothing less from a coward!

The chattering from the crowd didn't go unnoticed from Layla sharp ears which made her angry.

"Now shall we!"the twin said as they smiled devilishly at dawn with a cruel gaze.

Layla couldn't watch any longer at the two who were bullying dawn.

"I will go instead of her!"Layla stepped forward bravely.

Gasp!

~what is she doing!

~who does she think she is?

~this is getting interesting!.

"And no weapons allowed, deal?"Layla said with a glim in her eyes.

"Deal!"Allen said after staring for a second and walked forward confidently to the platform.

"Don't worry!,I will make This quick!" She said.

The crowd didn't go unnoticed from Joshua who was also exploring the base.

He didn't recognize Layla but was curious what was going on.

"Please don't do this!"dawn begged while in tears.

"Believe in me dawn!"Layla said while she smiled a little bit and walked forward.

Inspect!

"She seems to be lacking in speed, maybe I can use it to my advantage"Layla mumured.

Allen walked forward towards the platform and smiled sweetly that it was quite captivating but under that smile was definitely a devil.

Layla stood calmly at her hair blew backward. She observed quietly and took a stance.

Allen raised her hand and something happened, three blades made out of air hovered in the air and Allen swiftly shot them towards Layla.

Layla activated her boot and dodged each of the blade as fast as she could. Layla manourvered and jump skillfully while she dodged the first two blades.

"Stay in one place bitch!" Allen said in frustration.

Layla was cut in the arm by the space blade which made Layla wince a little bit, Allen smirked as she continued her attack.

What the heck!

She felt the energy draining from her as her blood kept flowing down her shoulder to her arm.

Layla managed continued to dodge every attack making it seem boring for the audience.

She knew she couldn't defend forever and she was already getting tired and she needed to change her strategy.

Layla gathered strength to her hand and dashed forward making the audience stare in awe and disbelief, to them it was like a blur as Layla ran forward with speed.

Allen who was already suffering from the backlash of using too much space control gasped for air but she was slow to dodge the attack upcoming.

Slap!

Layla kept smacking Allen face that blood spurted out from her mouth.

"You bitch!"Allen said as she held her cheek in anger.

The crowd gasp in shock,"no one has ever laid their hands on the LYCAN twins!".

Allen stood her ground and gathered energy in her fist as the space formed a force on her hand.

"You pay for touching me you bitch!"Allen cursed ignoring the prickling pain in her hand.

Layla smiled internally"just what I wanted!" She decided to use her trump card and use the shadow skill.

She decided to control the shadow under her feet and condensed it in her hand and become to think of a form and the shadow twisted and finally formed a claw shape hovering above her fingers.

{System 1049:shadow claw activated}

As Allen advanced towards Layla but Layla took a twist and swiped her fingers which had claws towards her waist area.

Slash!

Allen who was swallowed in anger didn't notice the attack on her waist got injured at a slash cut deep into her flesh making blood ooze out continuously.

Seeing she was distracted Layla advanced and created and attack with a monkey kick towards her stomach and slapped her face continuously.

The strength applied to the slap was hard enough to break Allen nose, the hit made Allen pass out.

With her cheek swollen and a bright red finger mark evident on her cheek. Allen's twin looked at the ground with disbelief and shock.

The crowd were silent and they couldn't believe their eyes and whoever started the clap made others clap with the person, they cheered making Layla mouth twitch a bit.

She knew her sister well and the latter had never lost a fight not even to a guest .

She like around in humiliation and anger and walked forward and carried her sister away with a angry look.

Joshua watched behind the scene and got interested in the person who was on the platform.

"That was amazing Layla!"dawn said with much enthusiasm as she smiled excitedly.

"Yeah!"Layla said and suddenly looked at her arm which was wounded.

"Oh my god are you okay!"dawn said worriedly and checked the wound.

"Yeah don't worry I need to go!"Layla said and walked away without dawn's reply.

Layla became pale gradually as she walked weakly,he knees were shaking like a jelly, she had worn out her energy.

She didn't know using shadow skill will consume much stamina on her.

Walking back to her room was like a journey of no ending for Layla as she could barely walk properly, her muscles  were sore.

"Now I have gained way more attention than needed"Layla thought as people kept staring at her.

"I can't wait to do this mission and get back home I miss Stella and the care home!"Layla thought and sighed.

Meanwhile In a room which was like a hospital, a lady was Resting on a white bed with a lady who looked exactly like her was seated beside her and a man stood behind her.

"Get me every single information on that bitch!" Avery said and looked at Allen battered face.

"Yes ma'am"the man said and walked out of the room leaving the room in a gloomy situation.

"I will make sure you beg for mercy on your two knees for the humiliation you caused to me and my sister!"Avery said with wickedness.
