18 Departing, Norns, and Blessing

-Mirror Dimension, right after Spectre left to deal with Reed, Johnny, and Ben in the Negative Zone-

Odin Borson POV:

After that winged serpent that calls itself Spectre had left, I had a chance to at last, relax and address my wife.

With concern and determination in my eyes and voice I spoke, "Frigga my queen, now that it is gone, you can freely be honest with me. What did that thing do to you? What did it threaten you with? Do not worry, in time, I will be mighty enough to avenge our daughter and beat that winged serpent for this humiliation."

Frigga sighed tiredly, clearly, she could not keep this farce up. 'After all, my wife is the best sorceress across the ten-, no, now it is nine realms, even if it manages to corrupt her, it would only be temporary.'

In clear frustration she answered, "Odin, my king. All that Lord Spectre Ouroboros did to me, was grant unto me an oracle, bless me, and transport me with our daughter to the realm of the dead where I received yet another blessing, in this occasion from Lady Death herself, after which..., pardon me yet, it appears I am experiencing some form of inverted memory lapse, if my memory serves me right, I quite recently, as in not half an hour ago, explained all of this to you, so why are you asking again?"

" ... Well, I did not pay much attention, and already forgot what little I did listen to..."

Frigga with clear tiredness in her eyes responded sluggishly. "I now understand why he left you to me instead of finishing the explanation himself before. *DEEP TIRED SIGH* All is well," She said trying to calm herself. "However, I refuse to go through all of... this, again, in this here place; especially since this IS Lord Spectre, and I would rather you stay alive my king. As such, let us depart from the Mirror Dimension and talk in more detail in the royal chambers."

Nodding at my wise wife, I decided to follow her counsel and follow after her, from a portal she made leading back to our chambers.

Without this Abstract, to interfere and all the rune charms my wife placed around the chamber, it became MUCH easier to listen and understand everything that happened and what she learned and crammed into my head.

However the most important thing to remember at the moment is that the Norns are traitors, and sacrificing my left eye, and anything else that I want, will make it as easy as if I were cheating to learn everything I want and need to make sure those bastards in shadow get what is coming to them!

"I still do not like him, but after actually listening AND understanding the explanation for, well, everything important that happened, I must admit that he did help me a lot. Now let us assemble the royal guards, and head to the Norns, after that I have a sacrifice to get to..."

Giving me the brightest smile she has given me since before the war with the Heven realm, Frigga nods and speaks, "Finally, some sense from you my dear. Now, let us set off, the royal guards will be unnecessary, as the Norns are empowered by Those Who Sit Above in Shadow, and the Loom of the Fates is what must be destroyed.

Nevertheless, destroying it means destroying everyone connected to it... I will go and see if I can consult Lady Death about this, hopefully because of the blessing she should not have a problem with my inquiry-? Wait for but a moment, blessing? Did not Lord Spectre bless me as well? He said his blessing granted me access to him through the Mirror Dimension, it apparently housing every type of energy and natural power in the universe and beyond.

Would that not mean that his nothingness energy is also included in that?? *Shocked gasp* IT DOES!!!"

A few minutes, of my wife doing magical experimentation, later.

Frigga with excitement clear in her expression, and a blinding shine in her childlike excited eyes, broke into celebration, and said "This is wonderful, I presume this blessing he bestowed upon me is making it essentially second nature to control this nothingness energy. With this, I should be able to erase the connection between the Loom of the Fates and, well, us and any other pantheon it might be connected to."

Beginning to realize just how mighty my wife has become with those blessings she received from those two Abstract Lords made me mightily happy. I laughed heartily as I shouted in the chamber, "This is cause for a celebratory feast, my wife is the mightiest member of our pantheon now, and you have barely even learned how to use these blessings. 

Of course, only temporarily, as soon enough, I will be the mightiest." I let my wife know with a smug grin on my face, as I raise my right fist high in the air, showing my soon to be mightiness.

Chuckling at me and my mighty pose I presume, my queen bestowed upon me a soft smile that melted my heart, as I walked up to her and embraced her. Taking this opportune moment between us, I begin to speak.

"My love, I must apologize, for though it has not, at least all, happened yet, I have clearly hurt you, with the things you saw from the oracle the Abstract Spectre Ouroboros granted unto you, and sadly I cannot promise you that I will not have any affairs. As I have clearly shown how undependable I am in such matters, yet I can promise you this.

The only woman I will EVER truly love, is you. The only woman I will EVER truly care for, is you. The only woman I will risk going through Hel and worse for, is you. I will make all those kids with others, as they are all clearly necessary for the survival of Asgard.

BUT I SWEAR ON THE OLD GODS, ON MY NAME ODIN BORSON, AND ON MY VERY LIFE, that the moment that last needed child is born, I will not betray you, I will have no other partner than you, just like that timeline where we adopt Loki just after having Thor, I will cherish you, and often face any opposition needed to keep you, and our family safe. THIS I SWEAR!"

With wide eyes my queen looks directly at me, 'She is probably so moved, she cannot even speak.' I look at her, and flash her a smug grin.

She proceeds to say, "Did you just swear by the Old Gods, your name, and your LIFE, that you would cheat on me until all these 'NECESSARY' children are born?! You do realize that changes to the timeline especially in the universe we live in are basically the norm, RIGHT!? WE COULD LIVE FOR MILLENNIA, BEFORE EVEN ONE OF THESE SUPPOSED NECESSARY CHILDREN IS EVEN BORN!!! AND YOU WANT ME TO BE GREATFUL?!?!?!?!

Being taken completely off guard by my furious wife, I think to myself, 'Well that backfired mightily, maybe I should have waited until after the sacrifice for wisdom to make an oath to my wife.'

Author here: Sorry for taking so long to post, but I will continuously try to post around 6 chapters a week, also:

I tried to change my writing style for Odin and Frigga, and I will try to do something similar for each character from now on. Let me know if you liked it, and any suggestions you have about how certain characters express themselves.
