16 The Day The Lich And The Dark Elf Came ( A Cannon Filler Chapter)
My name is Slyvyna Lockwood, 14 years young. I'm currently sitting on a sofa in my house in Denmark.
Our house has a simple modern design similar to the picture the Author will give here in the comments. (Please click it).
Inside this house, I lived together with my cousin called Kuro Minamoto. We started living together when I was 7 years young and as I looked at her today, she seems to be arguing to my parents on a smartphone call.
Kuro was slightly mad and annoyed as she keeps arguing on the phone. She keeps yelling. "No! that's rushed! We can't!" And keeps slamming her feet at the ground.
As she get more agitated about the issue and threw the phone on the ground.
"AHHH! WATASHIGA SMARTPHONE GA!"
She shouted in Japanese as soon as she realized that she threw her 11 years old outdated phone. She immediately picked it up hoping it was safe and after cleaning some dust,
She smiled as she learned that the phone is still in good shape.
She then walked towards living room, probably trying to sit on the sofa right beside me.
As soon as she's near me, I asked her.
"What's the problem Kuro-chan?"
Kuro looked at me and told me, "There's some issue about our flight"
"Was it cancelled?" I asked. We're now planning to go on a vacation to visit my parents in Japan.
As she remembered the arguments she had with my parents, it agitated her and annoyed her well being, but she managed to calm herself and told me.
"Sly-chan! our flight to Japan is Cancelled!"
It didn't really enter my head fully and I'm not in a rush to go back to Japan so I asked her.
"Cancelled huh..., Then when can we book our next flight?"
Kuro then sat on the sofa and spread her arms, She looked above the ceiling trying to relax both her mind and body, She then told me.
"We're not going to Japan anymore! We're going to the Philippines!"
"Philippines?" I asked, since I don't know what country that is. She answered me,
"It's a country located in Southeast Asia, probably one of the strongest countries in that region. I've been there once when they're still developing and is mocked as the failed country but I heard they grew stronger today"
Still eating my popcorn, I asked "Hmm... Why are we going there?"
Kuro looked at me and said. "Your mother told me so, I was planning for you to enroll in a Middle school in Saga city, But your mother insisted us to live in Davao City"
"Davao City? Why is that?" I asked. I don't know where Davao City is but it seems familiar.
Kuro looked at me and told me. "Your mother said that she has a feeling you're going to meet someone there!"
As soon as Kuro told me that, I continued eating my popcorn. I thought to myself, "I'm meeting someone there?"
She continued. "You're mother tends to joke a lot so it might be a prank, But to think she insisted we should live there for that sounds really suspicious"
"What should we do?"
"Probably abide what she said, We receive allowance from your parents after all, I don't want them to get on their bad side!"
"Wait, we're not going there as a vacation???" I asked her since this decision is rather rushed.
"Yeah! next week! we're going to leave Denmark and we're going to start living in the Philippines"
The words my mother told me as a prank didn't really stay in my head that time. Though, I never thought that what she said would come true.
A week later, we arrived in the Philippines.
Kuro was looking on the ground as she pressed her head on the window. She told me "This country really changed after 12 years since I had visited huh.... I heard the new president is another Duterte, her name is Sarah right?"
"I don't know what you're talking about Kuro-chan...." I told to her as we're sitting on a plane.
"HAHAHA, Well, you're 2 years old that time after all, hahahaha" Kuro laughed out as she figures I know nothing about this country 12 years ago. Though I told her,
"Aren't you also 2 years old at that time?" Kuro immediately shut her mouth after I said that.
After the flight, we then headed to the Mansion my parents told us to live in. It was already night, 6pm.
I looked above the Mansion and was flabbergasted. My eyes kept staring at how ridiculous the mansion is.
It has that Old Haunted Mansion vibes but the theme was destroyed by the decoration that covered the place.
"WHAT THE-" Kuro opened her mouth in surprise. me too.
If there's a Combo that will not suit together, It will be Christmas and Halloween, Even though the building looks haunted, the Christmas decoration on top of it destroys its haunted feature.
There's even a Santa Clause with Jesus on his back along with reindeers as they ride on a sledge.
"Who put this here?" I asked.
After that we then entered the mansion and turned on the lights. I looked around and to my surprise,
"The insides are clean." The Mansion's living area was wide, despite the appearance on the outside, the inside looks like a proper modern mansion. There were paintings and vases all around, the smell of the place smells like flowers too.
I lived by a small house in Denmark together with Kuro but it's my first time trying to live in this huge mansion.
"Are we going to live here by ourselves?" I asked Kuro. "Probably," she answered me.
Kuro then opened her luggage and put a letter on the table. She then told me. "This is your enrollment papers, give this to the principal of the school after you went there"
"I'm still not enrolled?" I asked.
"We called the school that we're enrolling but the only problem for now is we haven't given them the papers"
"I see, when is school gonna start?"
Kuro looked at me with a serious expression as she put both her hands and rested her face. she then told me. "Tomorrow 6:30am"

I immediately ran as fast as I could to reach the school before class started. I woke up at 5am and finished bath and breakfast at 6! there's only 30 minutes left and since we lived near the forest, there's no public transportation I could use to travel with!
"AHHH KURO-CHAN WHY???" I complained as I ran, my speed is not very fast, only similar to the speed of a car, though it helps me travel faster.
I'm already running out of breath, I'm not used to running far, "Haaaa! Haaaa!" After seeing an intersection, I noticed the gate of the school. The Arkline National High school
There was a male student there standing as he looked above the sky. Since there's no cars running around, I immediately ran in the pedestrian lane.
As I continued to run, I saw that the guy in front of me tucked himself at the side of the road.
Did he hear me running and tucked himself immediately? I was surprised, but, thanks!
I immediately tried running on the space he gave to me but- I heard a sweet and sudden voice that echoed through my body. it said-
"It's him!"
I looked behind me to looked at who's voice is it but a hand pushed me and made me fly away.
What was that? I asked myself.
The push was so strong it blew me up and tackled the guy that was generous enough to spare me a lane.
My head hit his body that made me dizzy, and as soon as I tried regaining my consciousness, my knees fell to the ground and I hit my the back of my head on the concrete, killing what's left on my consciousness.
My eyes dilated and my mind turned blank.
The moment I regained my consciousness, I couldn't remember anything, all I knew was that I was lying on the ground lying around.
What is happening?"
As I looked above me, I saw the guy from earlier looking at me with a flabbergasted face. All I definitely know that time is I did something bad to this person
I immediately apologized to him.
"Ah! I'm sorry" I bowed down with proper respect. I looked at him as I saw him eyeing my whole body. It's quite embarrassing so I hope he won't-
He slapped me on the face.
It made me surprised, why did he hit me? I then looked at him to know why but the next word he uttered shocked me.
"You-You're a ghoul aren't you?"
When my mother said she has a feeling that I will meet someone. That feeling is true.
But I never expect it to be this way.
"Ho-How did you know???"
The person I met is a Ghoul Hunter in the flesh!
