Warmth is Nice

The three of us chatted for a couple of hours when mom suddenly yawned so I said,

"If you need to sleep, you should go." She yawned again and laid her head down on the bartop.

"Nooo, I'm waiting for Jasper to come home." As soon as those words left her lips, she was fast asleep and snoring quietly.

"That was fast," Miguel commented then he stretched and yawned himself.

"Yeah, she's always been like this, passing out within seconds," I noted cheerfully, this is one of the only things I find endearing about my mom. Miguel yawned again and I smirked at him,

"Looks like you're ready for bed too." I teased mildly, he reached over and stroked my thigh then met my eyes with his.

"Your mom never showed me where my room is... Could you?"

"Yes!" My voice was shaking a bit, which seemed to please him. I got up stiffly and then took his hand to gently lead him down the hallway. "Um... Miguel.." I stated, then cleared my throat.

"What?" He asked, terse as usual.

"I am ... mo-more curious now." We stopped in front of the guest room and my body was on fire with embarrassment from my admission.

"Wow, Lemon... you're really horny." His comment made my embarrassment worse so I turned to leave but he grabbed my wrist. "Your mom said we shouldn't be alone together..."

"That's... true..." I felt a little defeated. I wanted to leave but he kept a grip on me.

"Well... she's asleep right now... and did buy condoms earlier," Did he sneak that into the basket while I wasn't looking?! How would I not notice??! "So I guess it doesn't matter." After he said this my heart started racing all over again. Then he pulled me into the room with him and locked the door behind us.

It took all my willpower to drag myself to my room in the middle of the night before my mom woke up to check on me. My legs felt weak as I flopped down onto my bed and I sighed with relief that I could finally relax. I laid down, letting my head collide with my pillow. Miguel still didn't tell me anything afterward... I feel a bit awkward reminding him ... but I'm really curious as to how he's back in his original body; does it have something to do with my conversation with Tzadqiel?

"Honey, are you awake?" My mom called while opening my door without knocking.

"Yes, mom," I replied. It had only been 20 minutes since I left Miguel so... I never slept, but I won't tell her that. I laid still even after she entered.

"You look like crap, maybe you should sleep some more." She commented after seeing me. I frowned then she realized how she might have come across and added, "I mean you look tired, that's all..." She sat beside me.

"I... talked to that boy you brought with you... just now." I yawned and rubbed my eyes, "I'm sorry." Her voice cracked as if she was about to cry that's when I jolted up, realizing something was wrong.

"What did you say to him?" I asked, I didn't want to accuse her. I don't want to be angry.

"I just felt like you should hear it from me before you talk to him. I was still drunk from yesterday, I didn't mean anything by it, I wasn't flirting intentionally... I shouldn't have done it. I'm so sorry..."

"Did you... I'm going to talk to him." I got up from bed but even with my newfound motivation, it was hard to walk steadily.

"You're lucky... I've never met a guy who was so loyal, other than your father." She commented. "That's why I feel so awful." I didn't feel like listening to her anymore and it was too dark to see her clearly, so I left the room and entered the hallway, immediately bumping into Miguel right outside my door.

"Hey... good morning." He stated sweetly but his expression showed he felt awkward. "You ready to go home, yet?" He doesn't want to talk, he just wants to leave but, I need to know what happened.

"What happened?" I was blunt, for once.

"I... I knew what... I don't know how to talk about this." He has never been at a loss for words before.

"Listen... I trust you... I will believe you." I spoke slowly for emphasis and his face looked flushed; a rarity.

"She got in the covers with me, I had just fallen asleep... I thought she was you, coming back to see me." He started, then he bit his tongue, noticed my mom through the doorway, and said, "Let's talk somewhere else." My mind was filling in the blanks...

"No... I rather she hears this." I turned to my mom who was listening closely, she hid behind the wall when our eyes met.

"Fine, she had my dick in her mouth and when I saw it was her, I punched her in the face." I turned and that's when I noticed my mom's cheek and bottom lip were swollen thanks to the hall lights. So that's why she wanted to talk to me first... "Sorry for punching your mom, it was just a reflex... I promise. When I saw her face, I wasn't thinking straight."

Even though my mom is beautiful she knew she had no credibility with me, that's why she rushed over to soften the blow before Miguel got a chance to tell his side of the story. This is her first time meeting Miguel, why would she think this was okay!? My head was spinning with thoughts. Did she do this with Jack too? If she did... he must've gone along with her, that's why she didn't expect Miguel's reaction at all.

"It's fine." I replied coldly, cutting my eyes at my mother once again. She started crying,

"I was really just drunk. I w-went to the wrong room, looking for Jasper and-"

"Shut up!" My patience with her is gone, I'm not even sure if this relationship with my mother is worth trying to preserve any longer.
