''Alice... I have something to ask about.'' Edward said and entered the restaurant.

Jasper and Edythe raised an eyebrow.

Alice followed behind him with furrowed brows.

Jasper and Edythe followed behind her.

Jessica and Angela stayed behind and talked with Bella, who had a pale face.

Edward sat down on the chair and watched as his siblings sat down.

''Edward, what is it?'' Edythe inquired.

''Alice... Is he Jack?'' Edward questioned.

Alice widened her eyes out of shock.

''What do you mean?'' Edythe asked with a frown.

Edward didn't listen to Alice's thoughts, but he kept looking at her.

''D-Did you read my thoughts?'' Alice asked.

Edward nodded.

Jasper and Edythe glared at him.

''Why did you read her thoughts? Privacy, hello?'' Edythe said angrily.

''I had to be sure...'' Edward muttered.

''Sure of what?''

''If Jack is the flaming monster,'' Edward revealed.

''What?!'' Edythe and Jasper exclaimed at the same time.

''Are you crazy?!'' Edythe shouted.

Edward didn't answer— instead, he kept looking at Alice.

Edythe and Jasper looked at Alice and saw her lowering her head.

''Alice... Is it true?''

Alice bit her lip and nodded.

Jasper and Edythe widened their eyes.

''... How?'' Jasper asked with disbelief.

''Why did he threaten Jasper?'' Edythe asked angrily.

Alice shook her head, ''It wasn't Jack.''

''But, you said that the flaming monster is Jack?''

Alice snapped, ''Don't call him monster! He is Jack... And the one who threatened Jasper was Jack, but also not Jack.''

''What do you mean?''

''... He can't control it.''

Edythe looked thoughtful, ''You mean... He is like a vampire who can't control his bloodlust?''

''Kind of... He is getting better in control... But he can't control himself when he is transformed.''

''How... Did he become like this?'' Edward asked.

Alice shook her head, ''I don't know... Jack doesn't know either... But he isn't a bad person! The being he turns into is hunting sinners.''

''Sinners?''

Alice nodded and looked at Jasper, ''That's why the Ghost Rider threatened you... Because your hands were stained in blood.''

Jasper bit his lip and lowered his head.

''... Ghost Rider?'' Edythe asked with a frown.

''Jack called him that...''

''We need to tell Carlisle,'' Edward said.

''... He doesn't mean harm,'' Alice said one more time.

Edythe touched her hand, ''I know... But we need to discuss with Carlisle.''

Alice sighed and nodded.

''Did Bella see him?'' Edythe asked.

Edward nodded, ''Yes... And she was already shaken before that incident...''

Edythe glanced at Bella, who was slightly trembling, ''She is already involved in the supernatural world.''

Edward sighed, ''She will find out about us sooner or later.''

''Will you tell her?''

Edward sighed and nodded.

''Are you alright, Jasper?'' Alice asked with worry.

Jasper nodded, ''I thought that my past was long gone... But I was naive.''

Edythe grabbed his hand tightly, ''It is in the past... Focus on the future.''

Jasper smiled and nodded.

Edward looked outside of the window.

He saw Bella, Jessica, and Angela entering a car.

Bella took a last glance towards Edward and entered the car.

*Ring*

Edythe grabbed her phone and saw a text coming from Carlisle.

''We should start going back,'' Edythe said.

''What about Jack... We should probably go find him.'' Edward said.

Alice nodded and looked outside of the window.

She can feel her mate.

They left the restaurant and entered two cars.

Alice sat in Edward's car.

While Edythe and Jasper entered the other car.

Alice told where to drive, and Edward followed her instructions without complaints.

Soon the two cars left Port Angeles behind and started driving on the road which leads to Forks.

It didn't long for them to find his tracks.

The asphalt road had visible footprints, with smoke coming from it.

They drove another 10 minutes, and in the distance, they saw a figure.

They only saw his back, but half of his face was on fire, while the other half had some flesh forming.

The figure stopped.

They stopped their cars.

Edythe and Jasper exited the car and looked at the figure with shocked gazes.

Edward exited the car— his face didn't have fear on it.

He knew what he did to the drunken men.

And he was surprisingly grateful.

Alice looked with worry towards the figure.

The figure turned around, and they saw Jack's face, but the other side was a skeleton which was on fire!

But the skeleton slowly started disappearing, and his handsome youthful face came to view.

Alice wanted to run towards him, but the hellfire was still burning intensely.

''Control...'' Jack muttered.

The four vampires heard him with their great senses.

Jack closed his eyes, and the skeleton started disappearing with greater speed.

Soon, the flaming skeleton disappeared, and his human figure was back.

''Jack!'' Alice ran towards him and hugged him tightly.

''Ah...'' Jack groaned slightly in pain, but there was still a smile on his face.

''You forgot your wallet, huh...'' Alice narrowed her eyes.

Jack chuckled, ''I found it.''

Alice snorted.

She stopped hugging him and looked at his figure for any signs of injuries.

She sighed a relief after seeing none.

Jack looked at the others and was surprised that they weren't afraid.

Jasper and Edward nodded.

Jack smiled and nodded.

''Brother-in-law, it's getting late, let's go,'' Edythe said and entered the car.

Alice dragged him towards Edward's car.

They sat in the backseat.

They started driving towards Forks.

Alice was hugging Jack tightly but then remembered Jessica's advice.

'Oh right...' She stopped hugging and moved slightly farther away, even though her instincts screamed for her to get closer to him.

Jack raised an eyebrow and looked at her.

He lied down and put his head on her lap.

Alice looked surprised.

''Is everything alright?'' Jack asked.

Alice bit her lip and asked, ''A-Am I too clingy?''

''Excuse me?''

''Am I too clingy?'' Alice asked one more time.

Jack looked stunned, but then he started chuckling.

''Oh, definitely,'' Jack replied.

''Oh...'' Alice's face turned sad.

But then, Jack continued, ''Am I too clingy?''

''Eh?''

Jack turned around and hugged her torso, ''Not letting go!''

She felt his hot breath warming her torso, ''U-Umm...''

Jack glanced towards her smiling figure, ''Am I too clingy?''

''Yes... Definitely.'' She said with a giggle.

''Good...'' Jack said and closed his eyes.

Alice smiled and gently touched his soft black hair.

Edward looked at the scene from the mirror.

He sighed, 'Get a room.'
