Pain.

It muddles her mind due its intensity.

Deni Righs used to make noise whenever she felt this kind of pain, but maybe because it happens constantly, she became numb.

Numb... No, it's not.

She's just tired.

She's tired of shouting. She's tired of waiting for someone to help her. She's tired of feeling pain.

Whenever this happens, she really wanted to sleep. She needed to sleep.

Sleeping is the best key to temporarily escape everything, right?

True to her thoughts, due to the unbearable pain, she blackout.

She sleep a long, deep slumber. This is the first time in twenty years that she sleep without any nightmares.

Deni Righs woke up feeling dizzy with her throat parched.

"W-water..."

She called but there is no one around. Her body felt weak and her head is heavy. That's when she realized that there is something wrong.

She is not surrounded by the green liquid and the varied apparatuses attached to her body are no longer around.

Is Mother preparing me for another test?

But...

Deni looked around and she noticed that she is not in the lab anymore. The surrounding is not as wide as the lab but filled with relics from ancient time.

As she was surveying the surroundings in confusion, wave of pain assaulted her mind as foreign memories gushed out.

Deni, why are still not dead yet? You should follow your mother already!

'You are not loved by father because you killed your mother.'

'Ill-fated thing!'

'Fool.'

'Useless.'

'Good-for-nothing.'

Whose memories are those? She asked herself. As she pondered silently about it, something flashed inside her mind. She thought that maybe she was only dreaming because what's happening to her right now is against the law of science.

To confirm her suspicions, she shakily supported her body as she made her way to the bronze mirror.

She wobbled when it's not her reflection who looked straight at her. The person reflected on the mirror is beautiful as her original face.

Since she was born, Deni Righs used to call someone Mother.

Mother prides on the perfection of beauty she made. Mother said that she made Deni Righs through combining the genes of the prominent figures in the world that time. Deni doesn't know how her Mother did it and who they are since when she was six years old, she was never allowed to go out.

Deni looked at the pitch-black eyes staring at her. They're no longer the yellowish color she used to hate, which are higly sensitive to light. Thinking of going out of the house unimpeded of rays of the sun, the corner of her supple lips curved upwards.

The reflection on the mirror were the same except to the eye, skin, and figure.

This body has the the figure of seventeen to eighteen-years-old lady. The skin was not the pale bluish color she once had but the pale one, maybe because of getting sick.

Deni Righs yearn nothing but freedom, and what's happening right now was supposed to be a happy ending but thinking of the foreign memories awhile ago, she sighed helplessly.

She didn't know where in the world she is and the body her soul is staying.

They have the same name — Deni Righs.

The old Deni was given her name by her father just for the sake of having a name. Unlike the fancy name of her younger sister, her name was pitifully short and simple. She is the eldest legitimate daughter of a Ducal House. Her mother was the first wife but died when she was giving birth due to the excessive loss of blood. Duke Righs love his wife so much at that time that he blamed his newly born daughter of his wife's death.

One year later, Duke Righs married the princess of the neighbouring West Kingdom. 

Since then, the old Deni Righs was truly abandoned. She live her life worst than the servants. She was maltreated but her father turned a blind-eye to her suffering. She's like a fool waiting for her father's love until she was seventeen years old and married the Regent Prince of the neighbouring kingdom. Her younger sister should be the one marrying but since they loved her younger sister too much, the old Deni Righs became the replacement.

Seamus IV of the West Kingdom, is the prince regent while the true heir to the crown is still mentally and physically incapable due to his young age. Seamus IV was infamous in the whole continent as a bloodthirsty general, who kills without blinking and treated lives like livestocks. His name was known far and wide.

On the night of their wedding, something snapped in the old Deni Righs' mind.

It is known that all of the newly married lady of Regent Prince did not lived long. They all died due to unknown reasons. Knowing that she will die a horrible death, the previous owner tried to put things on her own hands. As a result, she jumped in the nearby pond in an attempt to commit suicide.

Unfortunately, she was saved by the passing maidservant when her brain was already deprived of oxygen. Everyone thought that she just slipped accidentally.

Well, the former owner succeded in comitting suicide. Now, her body was currently possessed by another soul from another space and time.
