10 Chapter 10 - Happiest point in life

After those words from Ankoku, the call ended. Reiji stared at the phone, mumbling. "He has been driven mad." How could Ankoku be brave enough to mock the symbol of peace? Did he become like this because of Kuragari? Who did he think he was?

"Our deepest fear has come true!" Naomasa uttered, running to the door that led to the roof. Before he walked down, he paused. "Hypnotic, even though you were planning to retire, you WILL fight today."

"You don't have to tell me." Hypnotic replied, rushing to All Might and taking the struggling woman he held, noticing the smile on All Might's face was absent. "What are you doing, All Might?! Has the symbol of peace been shaken!? Go and take care of Ankoku! We will deal with the rest!"

All Might's bright smile returned, turning to Hypnotic. "I will leave this building to you." He said, shooting up into the sky, sending a wave of air.

Looking at him fly away, Hypnotic whispered to the woman. "I heard a rumor---" Before he could finish his sentence, he threw up in his own mouth, disgust crawling around his body. Doubt flooded his mind, and he quickly and swiftly knocked the woman out without using his quirk to put her to sleep.

After putting the woman on his back, Hypnotic quickly ran down from the roof, leaving Reiji alone on the skyscraper roof. "Damn. Ankoku has really turned mad. Is he actually planning on killing everyone in this city?" He asked himself, looking into the city. He didn't know what to say.

He is excited to see Ankoku use some of Kuragari's potential, but the way he was using it wasn't what he liked. Mass murder on a city scale? What kind of madman does that?

If he wanted to earn fear and mock All Might, there were multiple ways for him to do it without killing this many people. Now he realized how foolish he had been when he wished Ankoku had ambition.

With this mentality, he would build a mountain of corpses within a day. He had no qualms about death or seeing people die, but this much? "Fuck. This madman."

As All Might headed in Ankoku's direction, he continuously saved anyone he saw, swiftly putting those affected by the Negative ghosts to sleep while simultaneously subduing some villains using this chance to commit crimes.

In less than five seconds, he had saved more than seventy people, putting them on a city bus and carrying it with him. He headed to the police station so the officers could take care of evacuating the citizens, dropping the bus in front of it. He walked towards the police station to inform them, but a negative ghost suddenly floated out of it, blowing raspberries at him before disappearing underground.

Multiple gunshots came soon after as he quickly zoomed into the police station to save those who hadn't killed themselves yet, putting them to sleep with a smile still on his face.

Carrying twenty cops with him, All Might left the building to see many heroes packing people into the bus. "Leave them to me." A pro hero said, his hands growing to be as big as king-size beds.

"Thank you all for your help." All Might said, and without waiting for their responses, he launched into the sky.

All Might continued to save civilians, even some villains, other heroes, and officers, entrusting them to the heroes he saw were taking charge of evacuating the premises as he headed toward where he thought Ankoku would be.

He finally reached the part of the Tokyo expressway where Ankoku once was, seeing a sight he wished wasn't real. The scene was filled with accidents. Cars collided with one another, while a gas truck was burning after exploding, covering the entire area in black smoke.

All Might walked through the scene, his smile never fading. Death littered the area, a man with half of his body out of his car's broken windshield after a devastating crash with a much larger car, his eyes wide open but white, someone laying inside their SUV with a knife on their throat due to suicide, and many more.

He stopped when he noticed a black car was completely free of harm. The other cars around it seemed to be crushed by a massive hand or kept from crashing into it by the same hand.

On top of the car was a black phone with a recording on the front. Picking up the phone, he played it.

"Hello, All Might or whichever hero got here first." Ankoku's cheery voice came, "Fuck it. I will just assume you are All Might, got it?" He waited as if wanting the person to reply before continuing, "By the time you got here, I would already be gone, All Might!

"You wasted your time saving others instead of just coming straight here to catch me. If you had come sooner, you would have captured me, killed this child, and all the negative ghosts would be gone. That would save thousands of lives!

"But you decided to save 100 people and missed me. Hahaha!" Ankoku laughed, "I knew you were planning to do that. Look! I even have time to record this while sitting in my car! Hahahaha!" He continued laughing as an explosion rang out in the background, belonging to the currently burning gas truck.

"Holy fuck, All Might." He continued recording, "The Negative ghosts are still wandering around Tokoyo, causing mass suicides! Thousands are dying. Who knows. The death toll might reach ten thousand, or even one hundred thousand!!!

"I am in this city, playing hide and seek. People would die the longer it takes for you to find me. Who knows. Millions might DIE!" He sounded like he was holding back his laughter. "In the back seat, I left a gift for you~."

All Might yanked open the back door, freezing. On the back seat was a baby girl between one and two years old, and on her stomach, 'All Might' was carved out with a sharp object, blood was still flowing from it, painting the back seat red.

All Might's smile faded, his entire face becoming covered by a shadow.

As if knowing that All Might had seen it, the crazed laughter of Ankoku came from the phone. "Kahaha!" He laughed, coughing multiple times soon after. "Fuck. I almost died." He mumbled before clearing his throat. "Come find me, All Might~" *Click* The recording ended.

Many miles away, Ankoku, dressed in a black suit, was running through a street filled with cars, carrying Kuragari on his back with a massive grin on his face. The scene looked like an apocalypse befalling the city of Tokyo, with this much destruction caused by only six negative ghosts.

"Kuragari. You are destruction incarnate." He laughed, squeezing through two parked cars. "All Might and the other heroes should be coming after us. Got to keep moving." He said, leaving the street and entering an alleyway.

Honestly, he isn't worried anymore. He knows he will get caught and either killed or get a death sentence. His death was going to happen soon, but he didn't care.

Right now, he was having fun. It felt like he was playing tag with everyone else and he was the last one standing. It felt exhilarating like he was a kid back in the playground.

He was extremely scared to die in the past, but not anymore because he has gotten rid of what made him fear death. One of his biggest fears was not being remembered after he died. It was the reason he wanted to break Kuragari into forever remembering him. He will accept death as long as he lives on in one person's mind.

But, now? "Kahahaha!" Ankoku burst out laughing, entering another alleyway.

No one would ever forget him now. From today on, he won't be a side character that appeared then is forgotten about three chapters later in a book. Even though they don't remember him, they will forever remember the day more than ten thousand people died in Tokyo.

That would be his legacy in this world. "This is fucking fun!" He shouted, feeling free. He was free from all his burdens. Free from fear. Free from anger. The only thing he was feeling now was joy.

This was the happiest point in life anyone could ever reach, and he reached it after causing the death of thousands.

He wanted to stretch it out longer. Feel this joy just a bit more while carving his legacy deeper by causing more death. That was the only reason he was running. He was only stretching out his final moment, and dying even now won't be a problem.

"Hay, you!" A voice snapped him out of his thoughts, prompting him to face the voice's owner. It was a striking female in her mid-twenties, wearing a white shirt and black jeans, pants, and black shoes. "Where are you off to?"

"I don't know. I am just trying to find somewhere safe for my child." He faked his emotion, his acting so terrible that anyone could notice it from miles away.

But the woman didn't. "Follow me, quick." She turned around and started running down the middle of the street, with Ankoku following after her. "Who would have thought the day I came to Tokyo to pay my husband's hospital bill would be the day this happened?"

"Husband? What happened to him?" Ankoku asked, easily keeping up with her even while carrying Kuragari. He was not only fit, but Kuragari was also light as a feather.

Well, it made sense it would be that light. The child hasn't eaten anything since birth.

"I thought he was cheating on me when I saw him coming out of a love hotel with a woman and ran away. He saw me and chased after me, and I ran into incoming traffic because my mind was clouded by what I witnessed." She paused, reminiscing the day, "He saved me, but he took the hit, entering a coma."

"Damn." Ankoku didn't give a shit, but he kept up the act, looking up at the sky. Black smoke was now starting to cover the city of Tokyo, probably due to the multiple burning things.

"Well, it later turned out to be his sister and he drove to the hotel to pick her up after her friend dropped her there when she was drunk." The woman let out a sad chuckle, shaking her head. "I just got a lot of money from a man, coming to pay for the surgery he needed to wake up, but this happens..."

Tired of her sob story, Ankoku asked, "Where are we going?"

"Oh, no one told you?" She asked, turning to him, to which he shook his head. "The number 8 pro-hero, Bug Lady, sent one of her bugs to me, and she spoke through it, telling me to Shikkearu. She added that there is transportation there, taking us away from the city of hell, and we are to avoid any ghosts we see. I assumed she also informed others, but I guess not."

"Shikkearu, huh." Ankoku grinned, whispering. "All negative ghosts. Head to Shikkearu."

"Huh?" She turned around only to see a gun to her forehead.

"You've done well." He said, shooting her. "Kahahahah! I will engrave it deeper into this world! My legacy is---"

"What a drag." A tired tone drew his attention, causing Ankoku to look down at the body only to see it shifting and melting before molding into a humanoid man made of brown clays. "I thought I wouldn't have to fight you."

He stood 5'7 tall with a body made entirely of clay, with no distinguishing characteristics except for his mouth. This is the Clay pro-hero, current rank 4, with a mutation quirk that gives him the appearance and ability of clays, his most prominent being his transformation, allowing himself to sculpt his body, or part of it, into anything, living or nonliving.

"Clay hero?" Ankoku muttered in surprise. "Did you think you could win a fight against me? The negative ghosts will be here in an instant if I want to, and you will succumb to the same death as many others." He said, referring to how he could kill Kuragari, causing the ghosts to puff out of existence and then making Kuragari resummon them when it revived, causing them to appear beside it.

"No, I don't want to fight." Clay groaned, sitting up and scratching the back of his head. "It will be troublesome to fight you, so please follow me. We were supposed to ambush you at Shikkearu. I thought that the female form and the sob story she told me would work."

Ankoku stared at the man before shaking his head, "I would join you, but I want to increase my kill count just a bit more. So, you will be dying now." He smiled, "Black Phantom, I chose you!"

*SCRRRRR* with a loud, piercing cry, the black phantom appeared behind Ankoku.

"This will be a drag..." Clay sighed, standing up.

The phantom dashed past Ankoku, slashing its claw at the hero whose entire right arm transformed into a sword, deflecting its claw attack. "Its claws are sharper than expected." Clay groaned, looking down at his clay sword to see it had been destroyed, with the clays falling to the ground. Clay crawled on the floor, merging with his body and growing a new arm.

"You are the first person to survive one attack from the black phantom." Ankoku grinned, "This will be a fun fight to watch while my kill counts steadily increase."

The black phantom screeched again, dashing at Clay and slashing at his head. However, he quickly ducked, transforming his right arm into a spear and lunging towards where the phantom's heart was supposed to be.

Before the attack could land, the phantom seemed to move like a black blur, appearing beside Clay and stabbing at his head with its claws. Clay quickly leaped into the air, dodging the attack. Spinning in the air, his feet transformed into inline skates, landing before gracefully skating towards Ankoku, ignoring the black phantom.

He was astonishingly fast as he got into a boxing stance, his hands turning into boxing gloves. Seeing him, Ankoku smirked as Kuragari opened their mouth, letting out a ghostly scream. However, Clay was not affected by the paralysis due to his lack of a nervous system.

Ankoku's smile disappeared as one of Clay's boxing gloves appeared inches above his face. However, before it could land a hit, the black phantom appeared beside him, performing a roundhouse kick on his head and sending him flying to the side.

"God. That scared the shit out of me." Ankoku breathed, surprised. "You are the first to survive an attack from the black ghost and ignore Kuragari's scream. Damn. Who knew number 4 would be this interesting?"

"Please just give up." Clay pleaded in a tired voice, sitting up with his deformed face reforming. "It will be a waste to fight since I am going to win. Just come with me."

"The casual arrogance." Ankoku scoffed, "More arrogant than former rank 2 Hypnotic."

The phantom dashed to the man, slashing its claw at Clay's face, but he quickly rolled to the side, a hand growing from his back and pushing him back to his feet. Now standing beside the black phantom, his right arm shrunk inside his body as his left arm bulged to two times his size, clenching into a fist that sent out a wave of air, causing Ankoku's hair to flutter.

"Holy sh---" Ankoku couldn't finish his words when Clay delivered a devastating punch to the black phantom's face, using his momentum to smash it to the ground. The impact of this smash was so strong that it created a small crater on the road, completely obliterating the phantom's head and disintegrating into black smoke.

"This is a drag. Why was I picked to find and lure you to Shikkearu?" Clay mumbled with a groan, his arm returning to normal with his right arm regrowing. "Come with me, please. I want to go home to my little sister."

"Because you can turn into a Blood Hound and quickly track him down." A hoarse voice that Ankoku didn't recognize came from behind him, causing him to turn. Walking towards him was Naomasa with a ragged appearance, his clothes bloody and a gun in his right hand. "Long time no see, criminal." He waved at Ankoku.

"What have you come to do? Kill me?" Ankoku chukkled, shaking his head. "I would gladly accept---"

*Bang* Without waiting for Ankoku to finish, Naomasa fired three shots at him, all three bullets piercing through Kuragari's chest. Coughing out a mouthful of blood, the child became limp, dead.

Around the city, the six ghosts let out a soundless scream, puffing out of resistance to the surprise of many, including All Might who had just encountered one.

Clay's arm immediately extended, grabbing Kuragari and yanking the child out of Ankoku's arm, pulling them to himself. In the midst of this process, Kuragari had revived and before it could do anything, Clay viciously punched the five-year-old in the face, knocking them out.

"Wasn't that too much?" Naomasa asked Clay, who shrugged. "It was quicker."

"...You actually killed it..." Ankoku asked, staring wide-eyed at Kuragari, out cold in Clay's arm. "You actually shot a child," He looked at Clay, "and you don't care?"

"Protecting the innocent and averting a catastrophe is a hero's job." Clay explained in a lazy voice, "If it means killing this child, then I have no problem with that." He then groaned, looking at the sky. "All Might wouldn't like this."

"You will deal with it---"

"What do you mean by that?" Clay snapped, cutting off Naomasa. "I didn't kill the child. You did. I am not willing to suffer through all those problems. It will be a drag, and I might want to kill myself."

"I was joking." Naomasa chuckled, "Just take him back to Shikkearu and tell them you succeeded in beating the black ghosts, but I appeared out of nowhere and killed Kuragari. You then snatched the child out of Ankoku's hand, and once it revived, I punched him and knocked it out. Also, tell Hypnotic to brainwash him without All Might knowing."

"You tell him that. I need to go home with no worries." Clay said, turning and mumbling. "My little sister is waiting for me." Clay's feet transformed into inline skates as he skated away, moving at more than 50 mph while skillfully dodging cars parked in the street.

Naomasa and Ankoku were left alone as Ankoku grinned, "I guess seeing your family crucified changed the shit out of you." He chuckled, noticing Naomasa flinch. "Kukuku. If it were the past you, I know for damn sure you wouldn't have killed Kuragari."

"...Right." Naomasa turned to Ankoku with icy eyes that caused Ankoku's grin to widen. He pointed his gun at the man who killed his family, saying, "I guess it is time for payback."

"What are you intending to do? KILL ME!" Ankoku laughed loudly, grinning. "DO IT!"

Naomasa didn't hesitate to pull the trigger four times. Ankoku fell to the ground as his iris dilated, crying loudly in pain. The four bullets Naomasa had shot had accurately hit both his knees and elbow.

"W-what the fuck!" Ankoku stuttered, huffing in pain.

Naomasa clenched his jaw, walking toward him. "Do you think I was about to let you die easily?" He asked, kicking Ankoku across his face. "For what you did to my fucking family!" He stepped on the back of Ankoku's head, a crazy grin on his face and blood vessels bulging in his eyes. "I will make you pay."

About one mile away, Clay kept skating through the city at more than 75 mph with the sleeping Kuragari in his arms. He hoped he wouldn't encounter any problem when he returned with the child that murdered more than 100 thousand people.

The discovery that a child's quirk was the cause of mass suicides and destruction, not the Symbol of Evil All for One, truly surprised him. 'A 100% villain quirk.' He thought, pitying the child. Even though it got a brand-new identity and brand-new life, which they were about to give it, it would still fall into the life of a villain.

He knew society was the one responsible for most villains, and this child had a high chance of becoming a villain. The only way it won't happen is if he has a strong mind and has a wish to prove everyone wrong, or he never summons the negative ghosts and only uses the black phantoms.

If this child became a trained villain, he knew it would be a danger to the country, an S-rank villain. No, an SS-rank like All For One because of its ability to cause mass death, like it just displayed while only being five years old.

"I just hope that happens when I am retired." Clay groaned, not wanting to be called in to fight against the child when it becomes a villain. He knew he was jinxing it too much, but he couldn't help. "I just hope my little sister doesn't become a villain. Wait, why am I thinking of this? Hi---"

A black, swirling gas appeared in front of Clay, shocking him as he tried to slow down. However, a black hand shot out of the swirling gas like a bullet, grabbing his face and stopping his movement. The sudden stop caused him to drop Kuragari as another dark mist appeared and absorbed the child.

He noticed a small hole in the palm of his hand, which started sucking in gray energy from his body. Nauseous feelings swept his mind as his eyes became heavy and soon, he completely lost consciousness.

His whole body was entirely absorbed into the hole in the black palm, leaving nothing behind. "I despise absorbing full mutation quirk, but that quirk was too compatible to let pass." A man covered in shadow spoke, looking down at the hole in his palm. He was in a massive room with more than 100 surveillance monitors showing around Tokyo from more than 100 different areas, with one of them displaying Naomasa and Ankoku. "I need a quirk for surveillance. Our eyes on the screen aren't ideal."

He turned to the person beside him, whose entire body is a dark purple mist, save for his eyes that glow yellow. He wears a very elegant suit with a tie. He also has a metal brace that stretches from around his collarbone to just below his eyes, and in front of him lies the sleeping Kuragari.

"This child's quirk caused so much death while still underdeveloped." He leaned back on his chair, one of his red eyes glinting in the shadows as he turned back to the screens, watching All Might raise a truck with one hand to save the driver stuck underneath. "What do you think, Kurogiri? Between him and Tomura, who will make a worthy Symbol of Evil?"

Sorry for posting so late. School work took over most of my time, especially my coding project. That shit took almost one day to complect.

What do you think about this chapter?

Ankoku's reason has finally been reviled, do you agree? I mean, the guy feared death so much he caused the death of hundred of thousands of innocents people. A true madman. And whatever is Naomasa doing to him?

My guy Clay just appeared and that shadow person took his life. Damn. That's wild.

By the way. What do you think of the shadow man? I wonder who that is...lol.
