48 - Healing

As Jack looked at his hand which was becoming more and more transparent as time went on he was about to start panicking.

He was so distracted and distressed that he had no time to even see that the family was about to go to bed.

He was still slowly becoming more and more transparent and felt weak even though he had regained a little energy, it was like he was dissipating.

He had no idea what to do and was about to despair.

But then be remembered an ability he gained at level 5.

'Spirit healing!' Jack activated his ability and he held his hands facing his chest glowing with a green hue.

He felt an icy coldness spread out from his chest slowly as the energy that he just regained plummeted.

He felt his tiredness recede a little.

He stopped his ability afraid that overusing his energy would make him slowly dissipate or make it even worse somehow.

Luckily although he wasn't as solid looking as he was before, he didn't get any worse, so it seemed to work and helped his soul from vanishing slowly.

'Phew... I just need to regain a bit more energy and slowly heal myself before I will be fine.' Jack sighed in relief and made a plan to recuperate.

Although he was still weary, he felt better after the healing.

He also made a mental note to practice this ability and make sure he doesn't overdo it again.

However, such an ability was definitely a trump card for when he eventually had to face reality and see what this new spiritual world had to offer.

As Jack thought about what had just happened he felt thankful he got this overpowered healing ability at level 5.

If he tried this before level 5, his soul would have vanished while he watched as he could not do anything about it.

He felt so lucky and was happy he could still be "Alive".

When Jack calmed down knowing that he wasn't in much danger, for now, he looked around and realized the family had turned the TV down and left.

After thinking about it he assumed they went to bed but left the TV on for him.

'I'll slowly heal myself little by little while my energy regenerates, making sure I don't overdo it again.' Jack thought about his plan as he watched TV and periodically looked at himself afraid that he would start disappearing while he was distracted by the TV.

After a few hours, Jack had healed himself and then stopped before he ran out of energy a few times before he felt much better and stopped losing energy when using his ability.

'I must be okay now since it's not taking my energy to heal...' He guessed and felt relieved.

'I have to be more careful next time.' Jack scolded himself for almost unknowingly committing suicide.

When he confirmed he was fully healed he finally got up off the ground and walked over to the couch before sitting down.

'Well, what should I do now after that debacle.' He asked himself and then thought.

'I suppose I could move Mr.Teddy to the master bedroom.' He didn't let the incident stop his plan of leveling up and scaring David would help cheer him up from the despair he felt not long ago.

After he decided on this plan for the rest of the night he started to put it into action.

First, he waited for his energy to regenerate to a good amount before he walked up to the bear and picked it up, and took it in front of the couple's door before dropping it.

Then he carefully and slowly opened the door to not wake them up.

After he opened it just enough so he could squeeze the bear through he put it through and then fazed through to the other side.

When he got to the other side he saw the couple were sleeping soundly still.

He felt relieved his plan didn't end just there because he was too noisy.

Jack picked up the bear again and carried it to David's side before placing it on his nightstand facing him.

He smiled happily when he thought of David's reaction when he woke up.

He couldn't wait for the next morning to hear his girly screams when he woke up and saw it in front of him.

The only thing that could go wrong is Sarah.

She usually wakes first to make breakfast so if she had the mind to, she could remove the doll before David sees it.

However, Jack didn't think she would.

If she even noticed it she would most likely let it happen and be amused by his reaction.

'Mission accomplished.' Jack thought and then decided to not bother closing the door just in case that woke them.

So he just phased through the wall back to the living room so he could continue watching TV, while absentmindedly thinking of something else he could try.

Like raising his voice levels to extreme amounts to scare them.

Maybe he could even spread his shadow figure form.

'!!!'

'Or I could change my looks...' Jack had always wanted to be super handsome.

Unfortunately for Jack, he doesn't know his current form is unconsciously given to him by himself because this is how he looked when he was alive.

it would be very hard to consciously change that continuously without truly believing that it is him.

It would not be impossible however with enough willpower to force it for a bit.

Jack realized he shouldn't be thinking about doing such intense and insane things right after it almost cost him.

But he couldn't help it, the possibilities just kept coming into his mind, so before he could get ahead of himself he decided to think about how to not kill himself while trying.

As Jack thought about all the things he could try and experiment with, time slowly passed and dawn was approaching.
