Connor turned to look at Thomas after Freya stopped him.

Thomas smiled faintly and said softly, "I'll wait for you in the car first!"

"Sure!"

Connor nodded, then turned around and walked toward Freya.

When Freya saw Connor approaching her, she felt nervous and subconsciously took two steps back.

"What's up?" Connor asked Freya softly.

"Look, Connor, thank you so much for today. If you hadn't called Mr. Morgan, I wouldn't have been able to get this investment!" Freya said politely to Connor.

"You're my fiancée. It's only right for me to do this!" Connor smiled faintly.

"I just feel very embarrassed. You helped me so much, and I misunderstood you time and time again. I thought you were a liar. I'm really sorry!"

Freya wasn't apologizing for today's matter but for everything she had done to Connor.
