Liliana kicked off her shoes before walking through the door. The familiar fresh minty fragrance welcomed her, reminding Liliana of Lucas' scent.

"Where should I put this?" asked Liliana, trying to distract herself from unnecessary thoughts.

"Here, Boss Xin," Lucas showed the dining table for four standing next to the small kitchen island, "I'll get dressed first."

Before Liliana could say anything, Lucas already dashed toward the bedroom. She saw the fleeting image of his back. A bandage covered the spot on his left shoulder where he got hurt the most.

Liliana shifted her eyes from the younger man. She put down the tray on the table before serving the earthen pot and other plates and bowls. The porridge smelled so good. Its fragrance enticed Liliana's appetite.

Unsure whether she should immediately leave or not, Liliana sat on the chair at the dining table. She threw her gaze around the apartment.
