Third Pov

Far from the battle. Lumine and Paimon stumbled upon a lake. There was a stone bridge before them. In the middle of the lake is a temple. Towering in the middle of the lake is a statue, it emits green light.

"That's the temple of Barbatos! Over there is the statue of Anemo Archon Barbatos. They said that the temple of Barbatos grants you vision if one is devoted enough." Paimon explained to Lumine as she watched the civilians come and go. She got a feeling of a strong one.

Ignoring Paimon. She strode toward the temple.

Lumine didn't think they would be able to go this far. She just follows her instinct.

As they got in. Lumine felt a stronger connection. There they see people praying below the statue. Some even place their hands on the base of the statue.

Yet such a big temple there were only a few worshipers.

Lumine walks step by step to the statue. Paimon follows behind her.

When it's her turn to touch the base of the statue. The feeling was even stronger before she got in. When the palm touches the statue.

Lumine and the statue glowed. The worshipers around were shocked. Gasps of surprise echoed in the temple.

"I feel it. The power that sleeps within." Lumine mumbled as she closed her eyes.

What the heck! This is not according to plan! The fatui are here! Why are they here?

Are Abyss Order and Fatui allied together?

So many questions popped into my mind. We're already struggling with one Ruin Guard not to mention Fatuis!

One of the Fatui came forward.

"Well, hello there! Captain Eula Lawrence of the Knights of Favonius, I'm glad to meet you on this lovely night." He was wearing a mask, so I cannot see his face. But, I got irked when I saw him flirting with my girl.

"Who are you?" While dodging, Eula took a glance at the Fatui before looking back at the Ruin Guard. "Oh, Fatui, how can a bunch of sociopaths appear on this very night? I don't expect you to come here to talk right?"

"Ah, Captain Eula Lawrence, harsh words, we Fatui are very hardworking and honest organizations." The guy acted as if he was hurt. He places his hand on his forehead as he leans back with his other hand clutching his chest.

Is this guy okay?

"Honest? Hardworking? Dare I say it, you people are just too Honest to point it sickening!" Eula's words contained viciousness and extreme cold temperatures gathered around her.

Does Eula and Fatui have a story or something? I don't think her story quest started yet though.

No, I shouldn't base everything on the game. This is the real world, not a game.

"Tsk Tsk Tsk, It appears Captain Eula Lawrence isn't very accommodating. Well, as Fatui and Knights of Favonius have established a diplomatic relationship. It's our job to lend our allies a hand is it not?" His smile widened. He gestures his hand. The people behind moved.

Eula did not say anything. I came to her side. Her face still looked composed and dignified, not showing any emotions. But as her partner, I can feel it. Her hatred of the Fatuis.

I grab her fair hand our fingers locked together.

"Are we going to let them take care of it?" I asked.

"Let them do it. How I wish they were decimated."

Watching the Fatui facing the Ruin Guard. I can't help but giggle. These people are cannon fodders. They don't look like skirmishers or something.

"Not surprisingly from a cluster of sociopaths even in the face of death they remained head-on." She looks at the bunch of cannon fodders releasing elemental particles with scorn.

"Delusions," I said.

Delusions, a vision-like object produced by the Fatui. Those who don't have a vision, tempted by the Fatui's use this object to be able to conjure elemental skills. But this object is a double-edged sword. It can grant you power but it will kill you by draining your vitality and lifeforce.

The result can be seen by the naked eye. Slowly, the hair of these cannon fodders turns into grey. Their movement slowed down.

The leader of this bunch of sociopaths crossed his arms as he watched this grinning. This guy is a Pyro Agent-like in-game.

Shaking my head. In the end, the Ruin Guard did not fall in the face of the onslaught with the cannon fodders. That's given, how can a bunch of wacky ass idiots destroy a product of Khaenri'ah machinations. Even a Field Tillers can decimate them.

If it weren't for the Cataclysm, Khaenri'ah would be the strongest nation. Too bad.

"Let's go." Eula tugged my hand.

I nod.

"What a shame. To think my men couldn't handle a lone Ruin Guard." The Pyro Agent shook his head.

Thanks to the cannon fodders. Even though they couldn't bring down the Ruin Guard. They were able to wear it down.

Eula and I brought down the Ruin Guard not long after. What a letdown. Before these idiots came, It was an exciting battle.

Going back to the camp near the Starsnatch Cliff. Eula brought me into the Tent where she resides. Not the tent where the meeting was held.

"What happened?"

The two of us sitting on the edge of the bed side by side. She leans her body on my shoulder. I interlocked my hand with hers.

"I know you noticed it. I have a history with Fatui. No, my clan has a history with them. The Fatui helped my family in trying to control Mondstadt. But when our family fell, the Fatui cleaned their hands." She summarized what she wanted to say.

"I see."

"Even if I'm a traitor or hated my clan's wrongdoing. They are still my family in the end. However, if they are planning to disturb Mondstadt yet again, I will not let them slide." She explained. "The Fatui cannot be trusted."

"Your enemy will be my enemy." Using my free hand, I placed my hand on her cheeks giving her face a caress. I made a conviction.

"You can't. The Fatui aren't easy to deal with. Even the Knight of Favonius cannot contend against them." Eula stopped me from saying anything more. She enjoys the caress on her face.

The Eula who is usually a cold noble lady in public was now like a normal girl. I'm so happy she accepted me.

"Lumine do it again!" Paimon screamed like a fangirl.

Lumine ignored Paimon. She watches as the small tornado devastates its path. The poor pyro slimes turn the tornado into a Pyro Tornado, and the Hilichurl who got caught in the tornado screamed and perished.

"Finally, I can be useful," Lumine whispered as she stared straight ahead. But she was looking at her level.

Level 67. When she saw that she grinned.
