First quest, Complete!

Back to Igarashi,

Igarashi, who just received the notification of Zhongli buying his book and receiving 'System Credits' which he assumes to be the currency for the system's shop that is still locked, is currently walking in Feiyun Slope thinking about something.

'System credits... It's undeniable that it's the currency for the system store. As for how it is obtained, can I get it if important or relevant characters buy the manga I make?' Igarashi thought

Although he still hasn't seen the system's shop, with the number of credits given to him, he guesses that the items in the shop should be quite cheap. The only thing he needs for those items is the system credits which, for now, seem to only be obtained from selling his work to important characters.

'If an Archon gives 100 Credits, how much would the other characters give? For example, and only if, beings like the adepti buys my work? How much can I perhaps get...?' Igarashi pondered.

It was at this moment that his thinking was disturbed by the system's sudden appearance.

[Notice.]

[The requirement for the quest 'New Beginning' has been fulfilled.]

[Please return to the host's shop to claim the rewards.]

'So fast?! It's only been 2 hours since Xiangling left...' Igarashi thought.

Seeing the notification, Igarashi didn't hesitate any longer and just ran for it. His first quest will finally be completed and he can get new materials from the system like the blank pages needed for making manga. 'I can finally make more...'

After running through Chihu Rock and reaching his shop, he stopped for a moment as he saw someone sitting in front of his door. It was Xiangling

When the latter saw Igarashi, she smiled brightly and waved her hand, "Boss Yunru! You're back!"

Igarashi waved back and inspected her. Seeing that she has no manga in he hands, Igarashi sighed in relief. "Looks like you're done with the side of your deal.'

"Yup! Now, Boss Yunru, it's your turn for the part of our deal!" Xiangling enthusiastically demanded.

Igarashi made a low chuckle and nodded. He opened his shop's door and

Xiangling followed inside and placed something on the table. "Here's all the money I collected for selling your manga, boss Yunru!"

"Thank you, Xiangling." Igarashi replied. Igarashi picked up the budging pouch and shook it a little which caused some sounds of Mora being clicked together.

[20,000 Mora] ×1

[20,000 Mora] ×1

[20, 000 Mora cheque] ×2

And soon, various notifications rained down on Igarashi.

[The first chapter: New Beginning has been completed.]

[The 'Beginner' phase has been completed.]

[Various functions of the systems have been unlocked.]

[Rewards have been placed in the host's inventory]

[The Mangaka System Level 1] → [The Mangaka System Level 2]

[System level up successful.]

[Upgrade rewards have been distributed.]

[Congratulations to the host for upgrading the system. May you continue to prosper from here on out.]

Igarashi took a minute to read all of the notifications and he had to admit, he was baffled by how much the system is giving him. But what caught his attention the most was the 'Beginner' phase the system talked about. 'So it was kinda like a tutorial, huh...'

Before diving deeper into the system, he first told Xiangling: "Excuse me, Xiangling, can you go out for a minute?"

"Sure, Boss Yunru!" Xiangling said before leaving and waiting outside the door.

Igarashi checked his system again and was surprised by how much the main interface changed.

Although the change isn't that great, at least it was much cleaner and less messy.

He checked his status and, unsurprisingly, the interface too changed.

When Igarashi saw his new stats, his interest was quickly attracted to the new things that were shown. Especially the skill that had question marks on it. 'What Is it...?'

He tried to click on it but that didn't do anything. After a while, he gave up and just left it as it is. He then changed his interest to his stats and saw that he had two unused upgrade points.

He then pondered where to put the two upgrade points to. 'Hmm... I'm tempted to put it to the STR stat but I don't seem to use my strength that much.'

'I think STA is much better. After all, I need that to make more mangas. And the more manga I make, the more rewards I will get from the system...'

As for the intelligence and defense stats, he doesn't need them that much and decided to leave them as they are. 'However, if I upgrade the intelligence stat, perhaps I could remember the mangas from my past life much more accurately...'

After pondering for a while, Igarashi finally came to a conclusion. 'Intelligence and Stamina it is then.'

Igarashi figured that this is the best course of action. After all, what would he do with strength and defense? It's not like he'll hunt down any monster, right?

Yeah, riiiiight...

After putting the upgrade points to the STA and INT stats, the letters of INT and STA changed from B and C to B+ and C+ respectively.

After that, he felt some kind of rejuvenating feeling touring throughout his body that certainly felt amazing. 'It's a warm and cozy feeling... I like it...'

Igarashi moved on from his stat to the quest function to which caused him to slightly pale.

He clicked on the World quests and saw that it was empty. 'I guess only quests that impact the world is allowed in here...'

He then checked the Main Quests and saw that there were two quests in there.

<Main Quests>

[Objective: Kill two Geovishaps.]

[Location: Tianqiu Valley]

[Reward: 4-Star weapon]

[I am not a lazy Mangaka]: You can't always rely on your system for supplies.]

[Objective: Craft the item 'Scholar's Monocle' by going to Qingyun peak and collecting the materials needed.]

[Reward: Mystery gift(1)]

•~•~•~•~•

'Ah, I fibbed.' Igarashi thought. He didn't know he had to fight Geovishaps for his second chapter quest. Those things were annoying back in the game with their rolling-around nonsense.

If he had known he had to fight, he would've rethought his decision of distributing those upgrade points...

"*Sigh...*" Igarashi sighed.

He closed the Main quest tab and opened the side quests tab and saw that it was empty. He then opened the commission tab and saw a message from the system saying: [Can only be unlocked once the most become an adventurer.]

'Well that's pretty fair.' Igarashi thought as he closes the quests tab.

He then opened his inventory and checked what he had. Then, two peculiar items caught his attention.

The first one was a round item that had a golden plating behind it. And in front was a glass with the pyro element symbol printed on it.

It was a vision.

'Why... Why is there a vision here?' Igarashi thought. If he remembers correctly, this wasn't here before.

However, there is one problem that he saw. The pyro vision was... Shaded gray. Meaning that it is currently dormant or deactivated.

Igarashi took it out of his inventory, forgetting the second peculiar item he saw.

The vision appeared in his hand. And... Nothing happened. The vision didn't activate and just sat there on his palm.

"*Sigh* Of course it won't work. One needs a strong ambition to awaken or receive a vision, after all..." Igarashi sighed and muttered

He then placed the vision back in his inventory and checked the latter again. He then saw the second peculiar item and took it out.

What now was in his hands was a... Book? 'No, it says on the description that it is a Grimoire...'

'Wait... Could it be a grimoire from Black Clover?!' Igarashi thought of a possibility.

However, when he checked the book's cover, it did not have any symbols from the Clover, Heart, Diamond, and Spade Kingdoms.

And it just... Levitated there. Beside Igarashi.

'If it really is a grimoire then I can't even use it...'

In the world of black clover, Grimoires are magical items that greatly enhance the user's ability to use magic.

They also serve as a written record for all of a user's spells. Most of a grimoire's pages are empty at first; as a grimoire owner grows and develops as a person, the grimoire grows and develops with them, and new magic spells are inscribed into the book to fill the blank pages.

So even if Igarashi receives A Grimoire, he can't use them as he doesn't have any magic or vision that can be written down...

(A/N: P.s: I just started reading Black Clover. Currently chapter 13. So I might be wrong)

"*Sigh...*" Igarashi sighed once more as he placed the Grimoire back in the inventory space.

'I guess that's that... I should probably see the shop function next.'
