18 18. Wangshu Inn

Ryūhei rolled his eyes hearing the leader begging for mercy while kneeling in front of him. He too felt a sense of Deja Vu after seeing that sight.

"Why do I feel like I've seen and heard this somewhere? Right, that was from the second or third episode of the Overlord anime, where a small fry was begging for mercy." Ryūhei said inwardly. Then, he turned to the leader of the group. "In the first place, I never said I wanted to kill them. I only let out my killing intent to drop their morales."

After thinking in a split second, Ryūhei opened his mouth.

"Then, all of you follow me! Or else…" Ryūhei stretched out his right hand to his right. Then, a blue orb appeared some distance away from him, attracting everything in the surroundings like a black hole, destroying some trees and a huge pillar as well. Ryūhei continued his sentence. "You'll be crushed like this."

Even if Ryūhei didn't want to kill them, that didn't mean he would just let them roam around.

They were stiffened and had no choice but to obey him. They're just normal humans without Visions or whatsoever. Meanwhile, even though Ryūhei does not possess a Vision, he does possess the art they believe is the Adeptus Art.

They regretted it. Just like saying "have eyes but fail to recognize Mount Tai" in Chinese novels, they were blinded by their greed after seeing the Chaos Core in Ryūhei's hands.

Ryūhei led them to the Millelith outpost where the Millelith guards guarded the main road connecting Guili Plains and Wangshu Inn.

After handing over the robbers to the Millelith guards, Ryūhei resumed his daily commissions.

On the way, Ryūhei opened the system interface and saw that there were several numbers on the notification icon. It must have been a notification regarding the second volume that had been unlocked since he just had the full picture in his head of the second volume of both mangas earlier.

After tapping it and seeing the logs, he was surprised.

[The host received appreciation from several readers:

Appreciation from Morax: 200 points (Dragon Ball)

The second volume of the Dragon Ball manga has been unlocked

Unlocking the second volume of Dragon Ball manga will give the host 10 times bonus points.

Appreciation from Hu Tao: 50 points (One Piece)

Appreciation from Tiantian: 50 points (One Piece)]

[Point limit:

Dragon Ball (400/500)

One Piece (450/500)]

Ryūhei widened his eyes as he stopped his track.

"Wait, wait, wait! Morax? Isn't he the Geo Archon? He became a customer of my shop. When?"

He scrolled the log up. And from the time he received that appreciation, he was slightly astonished.

"Wasn't it a while after Zhongli left my shop? He is the Geo Archon, Morax? Wait a minute, maybe I guessed wrong. But there's nothing wrong with assuming that Zhongli is related to Morax. After all, I didn't see his name in the notification even though he seemed to be interested in my manga." Ryūhei was pondering while holding his chin. "And more importantly, an Archon gave me 4 times the points than anyone else."

The point limit of the One Piece and Dragon Ball manga has changed from 250 to 500.

There is a list of point limits needed to unlock both mangas in each volume.

1=0

2=250

3=500

4=1000

5=2000

6=4000

7=8000

8=16000

And so on.

From that list, he began to understand how to unlock the next volume. But the higher the volume, the more points are needed. Well, he really didn't need to worry about that for now. After all, the more people who read the manga produced by him, the more points he would get.

After that, he looked at the recent task in the task list in the system interface. Apparently, he was required to continue drawing the manga and opened the manga volumes that were still locked.

At the same time, a manga series tab has also been released in the system market and the series can be purchased using points.

Only by spending 1000 points can he unlock the first volume of the manga he chooses. And he can unlock the next volume through the accumulation of points he gets, and those points are obtained from the appreciation of customers who read the manga created by him.

"Hmmm, there's no rush to add another mango to draw."

After a while, he continued walking to Wangshu Inn whose owner was the client this time. Not long after, Ryūhei arrived in front of the Wangshu Inn.

It is a building built on the top of a tall and enormous stone. The area around the tall and enormous stone was made into an area for trading by traveling merchants thanks to the owner of the Wangshu Inn who provided the place. In fact, all those merchants were patrons of the Wangshu Inn, so there was no reason for the owner of the inn to stop them from setting up their stalls.

Ryūhei headed to the top via the traditional lift because the staff there said that the stairs leading to the top were broken. After all, the lift should be reserved for VIP members only.

After Ryūhei arrived, he felt someone's strong aura at the top, above the inn building. Not only that, but it seemed some people here were also strong even though he sensed that they had no Visions, except for the one at the top of the building.

"Is he the leader of this place?" Ryūhei said inwardly but then shook his head. He felt like it didn't matter to him. He didn't come to the Wangshu Inn to make trouble anyway.

Ryūhei was guided by the staff before his gaze fell on a beautiful woman in her 30s at the counter. She has a fair complexion, grayish brown eyes, long dirty blonde hair with blunt bangs, and two side pieces of hair framing her face that is styled with a braid that goes around the back of her head. She wears a red, short-sleeved shirt along with a traditional, dark red, Liyue overcoat with gold accents that goes down to her knees.

She let out a professional smile on her face before opening her mouth.

"Hello, a guest from an archipelago nation, with defined and typical facial features, as well as an obvious traditional outfit from that region."

"Ah, hello. I heard from Katheryne that you need help repairing the stairs. So I came."

The woman nodded.

"So you're the one who took the request from us? Let me introduce myself, my name is Verr Goldet and I'm from Mondstadt. I am the boss here at the Wangshu Inn. Lest you think I was the boss' wife."

"Umm, my name is Niwa Ryūhei. You can call me Ryūhei, miss boss!"

"I see. By the way, did you understand the request?"

"Finding woods and repairing stairs, right?"

Verr Goldet shook her head in response to Ryūhei's question.

"Actually, we have ordered quality wood to repair the stairs. But earlier we received news that the transport service was attacked by monsters." She explained to Ryūhei. And Ryūhei nodded in understanding.

"So you're saying you want me to retrieve the wagon that brought the woods and I'm also required to repair the stairs?"

"If you can retrieve those woods, you don't need to repair the stairs."

"I see. But I wanted to ask something."

"Sure. Feel free to ask."

Ryūhei looked around through the energy fluctuations and could tell that Verr Goldet was no ordinary woman as she was far stronger than an ordinary person. From that, he understood that the Wangshu Inn was not just an ordinary inn, as if it was acting as a watchtower.

"I feel that there are some strong people here. Why don't you ask them for help, and instead rely on the Adventurers' Guild for help?"

Verr Goldet widened her eyes. But then, she replied.

"You have good eyes."

Ryūhei shook his head in denial.

"No. Rather, I can feel the flow of energy around me. It has also been recorded in the Adventurers' Guild as well."

"I see. Well, I practice martial arts. As well as the other staff. Including my husband. Regarding your previous question, we don't have enough hands to take care of other matters outside the inn."

Ryūhei held his chin in wonder. He felt that one person seemed to be doing nothing. But Verr Goldet said that all the staff was busy. But, since she said so, he wouldn't bother the person in question.
