137 Fischl's House

"Happy Ludi Harpastum!" Endora entered Fischl's house cheering.

"Happy Ludi Harpastum. Welcome to our house" Fischl's parents greeted Allen and Endora as they entered. Fischl's mother was quite similar to her with short blond hair and blue eyes with a slender complexion. On the other hand, Fischl's father had brown hair and green eyes that Fischl inherited. He was quite the handsome middle-aged man with muscles but a slender body.

They smiled quite happily as they looked at Fischl, but Allen was able to see an experienced look over their eyes gained after passing many trials, most probably gained through their lives as adventurers, both being quite the well-known ones even when they had already stopped being active.

"Thanks for the invitation" Allen bowed towards them.

"Fufu. What a polite guest" Fischl's mother laughed "There's no need to be so, calm down and sit, the dinner is ready."

They sat over a wide table in the dining room and Allen observed the house, finding it quite normal, making it quite evident that they did not follow Fischl's ideas.

"It has been long since Amy had not invited anyone." Fischl's dad "It's great that she has made some friends."

"Dad!" Fischl reprimanded "For it is true, mere mortals are unable to withstand the majesty of this Prinzessin der Verurteilung. Allen here is one of the few chosen ones to be under my rule as my knight, tasked with aiding me in my quest to bring glory to this world."

"Our Amy is always so shy" Fischl's mother smiled "Oz, the traduction please."

"Mein Fräulein says that it's very glad to have Allen as her friend, wanting to continue being in the future."

"So cute!" Fischl's mother beamed.

"Mom!" Fischl complained. "And Oz, don't answer her!"

"My apologize, Mein Fräulein"

"Come on, Amy. Didn't you want to show your friends your cook?" Fischl stood up, following her mother to the kitchen. "Endora, dear, you can also come. I have something sweet specially prepared for you."

"Yay!" Endora stood up quickly following them.

"Allen, let's be serious" Fischl's father lowered his head "Thanks to be Amy's friend."

"Please, don't do it. I enjoy my time with her. There's no reason to thank me" Allen tried to stop him.

"To tell you the truth, Amy had always been too intelligent and independent. We mostly abandoned her, letting her alone while we decided to search for our dreams as adventurers" He started explaining "When she started with her princess play, I thought of it as something good, a play for her to spend her time, but by the time that I realized, it was too late. She spent so much time in her princess person that became part of her, her own way to escape reality."

"In the end, I did the worst, I ridiculed her, trying to force her to abandon her delusions. I've been a bad father who put himself over his daughter, abandoning her, and as such, I have no right to blame her. I discovered this a little too late, that's why this is the only thing that I can do for her now, trying to ignore it while keeping a look on her."

'I suppose that's the way to act for a father, not trying to increase her delusions but also don't going against them, similar to how to deal with an imaginary friend' Allen thought "Are you trying to make me change her way?"

"No" Fischl's father shook his head "Act the way you want, That's something between Amy and you, I won't interfere in it. I see how Amy is when she talks about you, I'm sure that she had changed for you and that she would change further in the future. I only want to thank you for it. In the end, she always has needed the same, more people next to her." He said lowering his head again "Thanks for everything, I hope you continue being her friend"

"I will" Allen answered truthfully 'Everyone has their own problems, wanting to escape from them being the most normal of them. Would Fischl keep her dear act forever, or will she face reality? Who knows? But while I am here, I won't dislike being with her as her friend.'

"Here's the food!" Just as they finished talking, Fischl, her mother and Endora returned with the food. It was two big plates of Cold Cut Platter with one of them being quite the peculiar one with a strange presentation and a drawn aria with a violet liquid over it.

"Everyone must try everything!" Fischl's mother stated, putting the food on the plates.

Allen tried the more normal food and was quite good, and once he reached the special violet one, he felt some eyes fall onto him. Fischl was looking expectantly at him while covering half of her face with her left hand, trying and failing to hide her look.

'This should be her dish...' Allen ate it and his eyes opened surprised "It's very good" Allen was greatly surprised by it "It has a strange flavor that you won't expect but it's certainly a good one, giving a special character over it." 'It certainly a good way to describe the plate and Fischl herself, a strange but lovely one.'

Listening to Allen's opinion, Fischl smiled brightly "Fumu! Witness the holy symphony of my cooking skills, Die Heilige Sinfonie. A delicacy so divine, it shall elevate your senses to a realm beyond mortal comprehension."

It did not take much for both plates to be emptied "Would you like some Sweet Madame?" Fischl's mother asked, causing Fischl to turn white.

"This mortal vessel is fully replenished. There's no need for further food" Fischl quickly answer.

"What a pity" Fischl's mother lamented "I had also prepared some Mitternachtsbrot des Sommernachtgartens, but if you are full, I suppose that there's no need of it. I will give it to our neighbors."

"No!" Fischl stood up, planting her hands on the table "I want!" She quickly blushed with Allen's gaze and her mother's grin "Fuhu!" She coughed "I suppose that my mortal vessel still needs some sustenance as it doth require to perform its royal duties!"

"Mein Fräulein's most hated dish is the Sweet Madame, but she loves the Mitternachtsbrot des Sommernachtgartens over all" Oz explained.

"Oz!"

After that moment, they continued with the dinner while chatting about adventurers and having the desserts until it was black night and decided that it was time to leave. Allen and Endora saying goodbye and leaving the house.

"Have you enjoyed it, Amy?" Fischl's father asked, receiving a nod from her. "You can invite them whenever you want"

"Thanks, dad. Thanks, mom" Fischl smiled at them and quickly returned to her "Good night!"

Arriving at her room, Fischl launched on her bed and looked the starry sky from her window "Allen liked my dish" She smiled "It was quite funny."

"It was, Mein Fräulein" Oz stated appearing next to her.

"Oz, would you always stay with me?" Fischl asked with a blurred look in her eye.

"While you want me, I'll always be next to you, Mein Fräulein" Oz answered "Because Oz is always next to Fischl as her partner."

"Yes, thanks, Oz" Fischl stated before falling asleep, dreaming about Fischl's adventures.
