28 Ch. 28: "Come, Fight Me..."

When the woman finished telling me the characteristics of her little sister, I immediately set off to the place where she was last seen.

It was already late afternoon.

While travelling to the given coordinates, I thought about the scene before coming here.

The woman had asked me to hurry and rescue her before nightfall.

I nodded, implying that I understood.

I wanted to add more words like: take it easy, she'll be fine.

But I quickly withdrew that wish as it didn't fit my image.

After a short exhale, I finally arrived at the place mentioned.

Here, I could see the sun beginning to inch its way down, leaving the sky with a mesmerising wash of orange.

A gentle breeze greeted me, caressing my cheeks with a gentle touch like a mother's loving caress.

The swish of the wind carries the whisper of nature, a melody that soothes the soul.

The sound of leaves rubbing together is like a symphony of nature.

In the distance, the chirping of birds is faintly heard, completing the symphony of nature with beautiful notes.

Since the place she was referring to was quite close to Liyue Harbor, I could get to it quickly.

I only needed a few steps.

All this was because I'd memorised the geography of Liyue since playing Genshin Impact in my room.

During the memorisation process, I felt bored and lazy.

Genshin Impact's map was too vast and large!

My own mentality and soul had a limit against it all.

I'm usually restrained to things that are short but make me happy.

But when it came to the Genshin Impact map, I couldn't help but let out a long breath.

I was too lazy and didn't have the time to do a full day of exploration.

Most of what I do is sleep, go to work, and socialise.

As someone who's aged two heads, let's say over twenty, it's a given that I'll go to work.

This also includes socialising. If not, I would have been nervous a long time ago when talking to someone when I arrived here.

However, because I often received and completed Daily Quests every time I went home from work, I had come to remember and memorise this map on my own.

As I was daydreaming and reminiscing, I sensed the sound of monsters nearby.

And sure enough!

As I snooped around, I found the Hilichurls who were gathering in a crowd.

There were eight of them!

5 of them were Hilichurls, 2 Samachurls, and 1 Mitachurl.

They were grouped together as if they were looking for something!

I quickly hid behind them so as not to be spotted.

Why are they here... as I asked this in my own mind. I soon found the answer.

Her little sister was being chased by them and was now hiding around here!

I couldn't help but tighten my grip on the sword hilt and pull it out of the scabbard.

My eyes were fixed on the largest figure.

Mitachurl, he was the biggest and most muscular, his right hand holding an axe.

In Genshin Impact it wasn't explained whether he was smart or not.

I also didn't know whether he was leading or Samachurl.

My guess is that the few are strong. Then he's the leader!

When I was sure of that, I started to doubt other things... I did kill many Hilichurls, but that was done by my other personality!

Even that doesn't include Mitachurl who has a large and muscular body.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to kill them all or not... when I start getting pessimistic, I start tightening my grip.

I had to do it anyway!

When my resolve was strong, I took a moment. I needed to prepare a strategy.

In this case, I knew that if my opponent was outnumbered, then I couldn't be careless.

Preparation is extremely important!

A few minutes later, the Hilichurls separated as if they intended to search on their own.

Now Mitachurl's position was a little further away from me. In contrast, one Hilichurl and one Samachurl were very close to me.

This was an opportunity!

I sneaked up and approached without making a sound. The figure was getting closer and closer.

I couldn't help but tighten my grip on the hilt of my sword.

My target was Samachurl!

When I arrived behind it, I stabbed with force without a second thought.

The sound of metal piercing flesh rang out, like a song of death to the monster. The Samachurl fell to the ground, its blood flowing profusely from the stab wound.

I pulled my sword out of its body, and the Samachurl fell silent forever.

At this moment, due to the sudden death of one of them, Mitachurl, who seemed to have quite strong hearing, turned to the source of the voice.

He looked at me from behind his mask.

A moment later, before Mitachurl shouted, my Electro Vision lit up.

I moved towards Hilichurl who was close in position to me.

With Electro Vision and Agility, I could instantly arrive in front of the Hilichurl with lightning speed, leaving lightning trailing in the air.

Without hesitation, I leapt into the air, my sword aimed at its neck. As quick as lightning, my sword slashed through the Hilichurl's neck.

A sharp metallic sound sliced through the air, and a chill pierced Hilichurl's neck. Fresh blood spurted from the wound, like a fountain colouring the ground red.

After that brief moment, Hilichurl's head fell to the ground, his face covered by a mask, yet I felt that his empty eyes were looking up at the bright sky.

His headless body fell to the ground, helpless.

At the same time, the Electro Vision at my waist vibrated with powerful energy. Purple lightning wrapped around my sword, giving it additional power.

A light breeze blew, carrying the scent of blood and the charred odour of the Electro Vision. I stood over Hilichurl's lifeless body.

Moments later, the atmosphere became quiet. Only the sounds of nature could be heard, birds chirping and leaves rustling.

The reason I dared to use Vision here was because I had taken a good look around and I knew that there was no one present besides me and Hilichurl.

Hence, there was no need for me to hesitate in using my aces!
