Genshin Impact: Game Box System

Tales speak of a mysterious shop with an owner just as mysterious, if not even more so, than the shop itself. A scam they called it, but those who know the true value of the items and abilities held within those simple yet deceptive boxes on the shelves know just how terrifying the owner of this shop must be. A weapon that cuts through space. The ability to live eternally. Even the blood of gods. However, those are mere but common items in the owner's eyes, the real treasures exist behind the walls of the Diamond Box. You can't just buy it though, no amount of Mora in the world will make the owner stir, you just need to beat him in a game. Sounds easy... right? . . . Pairing: Male OC x Lumine/Keqing/Ganyu Word Goal: 2000-3000+ Words/chp

Making Winds

About the proceedings of the game in the previous chapter, when I had Ningguang say the word 'Robot', I had initially already had it written as Ruin Guard. But, since it was two words, I changed to Robot. THEN I realized that it screwed with the rest of the game, so I changed it back to Ruin Guard and said fuck it.

After Zhongli, Ningguang, and Keqing had left for the day, Isamu was pleasantly surprised when his shop started having people come in. He could understand why they gained a sudden interest in his business though, Ningguang's presence really can have quite the impact.

Although no one had purchased any of the Gold Boxes, quite a number of them did decide to buy some of the Bronze Boxes, a few even purchasing the Silver Boxes. The Gold Boxes were priced at 500,000 mora after all, any normal person who saw it would turn away immediately.

Even the Silver Boxes, which were priced at 50,000, was already stretching it quite a bit for normal civilians. Unless you were part of a relatively rich family, anyone else wouldn't even consider buying it... unless they were stupid.

In any case, there were people who were either lucky or unlucky. Some who had taken the risk had gained decent profits while others not so much, and it was no surprise that he had received some complaints from those who lost more than they earned.

"Why is the Millelith here?"

"Of course, it's to shut down this scam of a shop!"

"Aren't you the one who got nothing from the box?"

The commotion from the crowd obviously got Isamu's attention as the male turned his head to the side to see two Millelith guards walking into the shop, and the people who were brave enough to line up to purchase a box stepped back to let them through.

The two guards walked up to the counter, to which Isamu just stared at them calmly without any form of reaction on his face. He watched curiously as one of the Millelith guards placed what looked to be a small handful of papers onto his desk.

"Boss Isamu, we were asked by Lady Ningguang to stand guard in front of your establishment." One of the guards spoke up before gently pushing the papers toward Isamu, who picked them up curiously. "Please have a read of these documents."

After picking up the papers, Isamu silently skimmed through the text to see that they were basically notes on how his business will be affected by the presence of the two guards. Things such as what the guards can and can't do, amongst other things as well.

The most important points:

● The Millelith guards will only maintain public order of the crowd outside of the store, and will not act on any disturbances within the store unless given permission by Boss Isamu

● Ensuring the safety of the store owner is their top priority, and should Boss Isamu be put in harm's way, the guards are to act immediately

These two were probably the more important points in Isamu's eyes, the first one basically meant that the guards are here only to maintain order outside of the store unless specifically called for by himself. In other words, he essentially had the right to command them.

As for the second point, even without his permission, they were ordered to protect him should anything or anyone prove to threaten him in some way. Of course, he could probably still tell them not to intervene unless necessary.

'Has she already placed that much importance on me? I'm flattered.' Isamu chuckled slightly inwardly as he placed the papers into a small compartment behind the desk. "Alright, I understand everything. Then I shall be in your care."

Both the Millelith guards gave nods at this, and although they didn't fully understand why or what Isamu could've done to have Ningguang place such importance on him, they knew better than to question Ningguang's decisions.

As the guards and Isamu were chatting, the people who were already opening their boxes continued to pay attention to their boxes after seeing that nothing serious was going down. As they continued to open their boxes, the scream of one of the customers caught everyone's attention.

When everyone looked over, they all immediately went into an uproar after seeing what had just come out of the screaming customer's Silver Box.

"A-A Vision?!"

"Is it real...?"

"There's no wa- woah!"

The customer who opened up the Vision, a Cryo Vision to be exact, suddenly let out a small burst of cryo energy from their fingertips. The small wave of elemental power formed a few snowflakes that slowly fell to the ground before melting away.

Seeing this, the voices of everyone who witnessed the miraculous scene increased by multiple magnitudes. The guards who had just spoken with Isamu weren't any better than the civilians, both of them turning to look at Isamu with shocked eyes.

When they did, all they saw was Isamu watching the scene with an indifferent look on his face. What do you expect? With all the things that could possibly come out of these boxes, Visions were definitely among the lower-end supernatural items.

'Oh right, I still need to write those details about the Chronos Retracer and give it to Lady Ningguang.'

As of right now, after having returned to the Jade Chamber, Ningguang immediately stored away the items she had received from Isamu's shop. The Chronos Retracer was kept an absolute secret, she was keeping it in her pocket space and not anywhere else where someone could possibly take it, even if the chance of that happening is highly unlikely.

Although she had no way to confirm its authenticity unless she used it, she was honestly willing to believe its capabilities considering everything she had just gone through. As for the other items, she had them stored away in secure locations within the Jade Chamber.

After all, her pocket space wasn't limitless, there was a certain amount of things she could carry inside of it before it reached its max. Although the other items were very good in their own ways, they were incomparable to the Chronos Retracer.

The only item she didn't put away were the Gale-Force Reading Glasses, which she currently had on her face as she looked down at the scroll in her hands. She had just realised how useful these simple-looking glasses really were.

This scroll in her hand would take at the very least five minutes to even casually read through all of the information. With these glasses, the information seemingly flowed into her mind like a river. A few seconds had only passed, yet she was already almost done reading.

No doubt, once she was finished with all of her work, she'd be able to get up early tomorrow to open the remaining boxes she had available for the week. To avoid the crowd, she'd definitely have to go as early as possible.

"It seems that I truly may be in debt to the boss." Ningguang smiled slightly as she slowly took off the glasses. Turning them around, she looked at them curiously. "It would certainly be useful if we could get a few more of these, Ganyu would surely appreciate them."

Ganyu, the General Secretary of the Yuehai Pavilion.

There was no doubt that Ganyu's workload was many times that of anyone else who work within the Liyue Qixing, and she was only capable of doing so much due to her nature as a half-Adeptus, and her many years of experience were also a factor.

With a pair of these glasses, Ganyu's work pressure could definitely be reduced greatly.

"Lady Ningguang!"

Looking up from her desk, Ningguang saw one of her three most trusted secretaries, Baixiao more specifically running into her office area. From the looks of it, she was sweating quite a bit, obviously from having ran all the way here from wherever it was she had come from.

"Is something the matter, Baixiao?"

"We have just received word of something that happened down in the city!" Baixiao managed to say rather loudly, though she did pant a bit in between words. Hearing this, Ningguang's eyebrow raised ever so slightly. "It's that shop you visited called Genesis Game Box, someone opened up a Vision!"

"A Vision?" Ningguang showed a quick moment of surprise before the look quickly returned to normal. If this was before she experienced the shop for herself, she definitely would've given a more impactful reaction than this. "With this, people will certainly begin to flock to Boss Isamu's shop..."

"Lady Ningguang?"

"We'll be needing more Millelith guards stationed in Chihu Rock, inform the Ministry of Civil Affairs to assign at least twenty or so more guards."

"U-Understood!"

Without saying anything else, Baixiao quickly left the room to complete the task given to her. Seeing this, Ningguang gave a small sigh before resting both her arms vertically on the desk as her mouth was hidden behind her entwined fingers.

'Considering the nature of Boss Isamu's shop, I suppose calling on HER has become rather necessary. Hehe, I wonder if someone like Boss Isamu will prove too much for even her to figure out.'

Wanmin Restaurant.

Although a rather common-looking restaurant, its reputation was more than enough to rival the likes of both the Xinyue Kiosk and Liuli Pavilion. Though, this was all mainly due to the miraculous dishes created by Xiangling, the daughter of Chef Mao.

The dishes here were all sold at affordable prices even for the common folk, and with their incredible quality, the restaurant was more than capable of standing toe to toe with the more famous restaurants despite not being as grand.

At this time, a few familiar faces could be seen inside the restaurant, two males who were watching as none other than Hu Tao seemed to be pestering the young female prodigy chef of the restaurant while a short bear-like creature was watching with widened eyes right next to them.

One of the males was mainly wearing white and had rather pale blue hair, the other had hair that was a much deeper shade of blue and seemed to be wearing a fancy form of Eastern attire with a colour palette of black and different shades of blue, gold, and white.

Chongyun and Xingqiu, the names of the two males, seemed to be rather confused as they watched Hu Tao pestering the prodigy chef. As they continued hearing the words coming out of Hu Tao's mouth, their confusion just kept growing.

"Xiangling, come on!"

"I-I'm busy right now!"

"Lu~lu~lu?"

"Genesis Game Box?" Chongyun seemed to mutter in a perplexed tone. "Has there always been such a place in Liyue?"

"Not as far as I'm aware." Xingqiu responded with a shake of his head. Even for someone who spends most of his time reading away, he's usually aware of most things that have happened in Liyue Harbor. "Must have opened recently. It does sound interesting, though. Those boxes don't sound expensive either."

"That's just because you're rich." Chongyun had a slightly deadpan tone in his voice after hearing Xingqiu's words. Being one of the sons of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, Xingqiu naturally had a lot of money to his name. "Are we going?"

"Of course you will~!" Hu Tao, who suddenly stopped her yelling at Xiangling, turned to look at the both of them. "Just think about what mysterious little things you may open from that shop. We can all go there together!"

"Are you asking because Xingqiu's here?" Chongyun felt a bit suspicious at how persistent Hu Tao was being. Don't get him wrong, Hu Tao is persistent naturally. This time, it was even more so. "Those boxes do sound a bit expensive."

"Can you blame me?!" Hu Tao seemed to give a heavy sigh. "With how much Zhongli has spent on food and entertainment, this director has become desperate for business!"

Hearing this, all of them could only give Hu Tao a few pitied looks. It was no mystery that Zhongli was pretty famous for not ever remembering to bring Mora wherever he went, and it was because of this that Hu Tao had always been unintentionally hit with the results of Zhongli's actions.

"Xiangling, you're coming too, right?" Hu Tao quickly turned to look back at Xiangling. "Come on~!"

"But, the restaurant..."

"Please~!"

"A-Alright, fine!"

"Wonderful!" Hu Tao seemed to widen her grin after Xiangling finally relented. Although the restaurant at this time wasn't completely filled, there still were quite a number of customers. Seems like her dad was going to be rather busy while she was gone. "Oh, before we go!"

Hu Tao suddenly reached her open hand out before something suddenly materialised on top of her palm from her Vision's pocket space, it looked to be a square cardboard box with various imagery printed onto it.

"Could you heat up this pizza for me?"

"Eh?"
