Chapter 8: Mondstadt

The group that consisted of Aether, Paimon, and Amber followed the path that led them towards Mondstadt. While walking, Amber asked Aether several questions, and of course she also asked why is he traveling. Once she learned about Aether's missing sister, she look at him with sympathy.

"Alright then, as a Knight of Favonius. I will put up missing posters for your sister to help you find her!" She promised to him.

They continued walking, stopping by when they encounter some slimes or some Hilichurls. He also learned that what he fought was called an Abyss mage.

Finally, they arrived infront of the city's gates that was guarded by two Knights. Aether could see that the wall was reinforced by a really strong metal. Amber introduces him to the guards, they saluted at them before allowing them to enter.

"Well then,as a knight of Favonius. Let me officially welcome the two of you to Mondstadt!" Amber welcomed the duo. Aether was stared at the city with interest, he thought that the city would have a Medieval look but in actuality it looked Modern.

Also, the city was alot bigger than he originally thought, like alooot bigger. Weirdly, he could not see any cars, so the kids were playing on the road.

The three started walking towards the clothing shop led by Amber. Aether was growing uncomfortable by the stares the civilians were giving him, he was actually becoming irritated but he shrugged it off.

"Hey Paimon. Why don't you return to your little sub-space thing for now." Aether silently whispered. Paimon nodded at this, becoming unconfortable by the stares. He disappeared not before bringing Aether's daggers with her.

(AN: Aether's other belongings are also in Paimon's sub-space thing. I'll make Paimon act like a storage system here lol, just to make her more useful. Of course, Aether does not allow Paimon to bring Mora to her sub-space.)

"Wait, she can do that?" Amber asked with a curious expression.

Aether nodded, before speaking. "Please don't try to question it, it will just become more confusing." He said causing Amber to nod.

Finally, they arrived. The shopkeeper looked at him with a raised brow before asking Amber if he is just like someone named "Fischil". Amber shrugged replying with, "I don't know".

Aether just looks at them confused, wondering who is this Fischl person.

Amber looked for suitable clothes that would fit Aether, and some attemps at trying out some clothes. Aether decided on a black hoodie with golden lining and black pants with dark red linings. His exotic clothes were hidden underneath his new clothes, but of course his earings, handguards, gloves, and scarf were still visible.

"Oh, you look really nice, almost like a prince.~" Amber tried to tease Aether, unfortunately, Aether has grown a somewhat resistance to teasing or was the teasing just not that good?

"Hoh? Are you already flirting with someone you just met? I didn't know you can be so bold Amber." Aether teased back, causing Amber to slightly blush. (Heh. Looks like she has a really poor defense when it comes to this.)

After Amber payed, they exited the store. Just then, Amber asked him something, "Oh right, you don't have a place to live do you?"

Aether shook his head. "No, but I'll find one since I still have some Mora that I found on some chest."

Nodding, Amber replied. "I see, well then. Why don't you go and find a hotel called "Golden Paradise"? The ordinary room there are really nice and they only charge 5,000 Mora a night."

(AN: 50 Mora=$1. I saw some calculations online but I just said fuck it. Just think that the value of Mora is alot different.)

"Oh, then I'll go find it then." Aether replied, luckily for him, he has around more than 500,000 Mora so he is ok for now.

"Oh, and if you're looking for a job. Why not join the Adventurers guild. I'll just guide you the-" Amber was interrupted by a sound from her pockets. Excusing herself, she took out a phone before walking away.

(There's an Adventurers guild here? Why am I even surprise?) Aether thought to himself. He heard a footstep walking towards him, he turned around to see Amber walking back towards him. (That was fast.)

"I'm really sorry Aether, but I don't think I can guide you there. The Knights of Favonius have a meeting so I'm really sorry." She apologizes after sighing.

"Its fine, I'll just go look for it. You've already done enough to help me ya' know." Aether said, he waved goodbye at Amber who waved back at him.

Aether turned around, and when he was about to move he heard a growl that came out of stomach. "Well, the Adventurers guild and the Hotel can wait. I'm going to need something to eat first."

While looking for a food to eat, Aether finds a small cafe. Paimon instantly appeared out of her sub-space before "dragging" Aether towards it.

"Well, this place looks nice." Aether muttered to himself as he looked for a place to sit. The place was heavily crowded by people but luckily, he finds a table with four chairs. Quickly taking this spot, Aether and Paimon ordered something to eat.

"Excuse me, can I sit here?" Someone asked, taking Aether's attention. Aether looked up and instead of answering, he stared wide eyed at the beauty that stood before him.

She has a long white silky hair, with fair white skin and beautiful teal colored eyes that was slightly covered by a black sunglasses. She wore a black shirt with a high collar that is also wide, and was tucked under a black skirt. She wore black shoes along with black tights that made her look more attractive. She was tall, around 6 foot tall which also made her look more attractive. She was one of the most beautiful girl that he had ever seen and was on par with the silver haired girl that he had a one-night stand with in another world.

(AN: Yep, yep! Fem Gojo!)

"Umm... excuse me?" He was snapped out of his thoughts when she called out again. Quickly putting himself together, he replied. "Sure, no one is sitting there anyway."

"Thanks!" The girl said before sitting right next to him. And of course, Paimon saw the slight tint of red on Aether's cheeks. She finally has something to tease him with.

(Holy shit! She looks like a goddess!) That was what Aether thought, he slowly and sneakily eyeing her assets before quickly shaking it off. (Oh god I feel like a pervert.)

"Satomi Gojo." The girl said.

"Huh?"

"My name is Satomi Gojo, and you are?" The now named Satomi said. She reached out her hand for a handshake.

"Oh right. My name is Aether, nice to meet you." Aether answered, shaking Satomi's hand. (Doesn't Satomi mean wisdom and beauty in japanese? It surely does fit her.)

(AN: I got the info from google.)

Letting go of each others hand, Satomi asked again. "You don't have a family name?" She tilted her head in confusion.

"Well, I have one, but I don't really use it anymore." Aether admitted, he hopes that she would not press further since its a pain for him to create a surname of his own.

"Really? Why?"

"For... private reasons."

"Very well then, I understand." Satomi said, before looking at the waiter that was holding a tray.

"Oh, looks like that's our food." Satomi said, gaining Aether's attention. "Guess so." Aether replied.

The waiter put the food on there table. Aether ordered 2 sandwiches and a vanilla coffee, Paimon ordered a whole chocolate cake and a hot chocolate, Satomi ordered a slice of a strawberry cheesecake and hot chocolate.

"Hm? Who's that whole cake for?" Satomi asked, completely unaware of Paimon's presence.

"Oh that's mine!" Paimon said from the chair, surprise, Satomi widened her eyes, before smiling at Paimon.

(Weird, I can't sense any energy from her at all. Not even the energy of someone who doesn't have a vision. It's the same with Aether.) Satomi wondered before shrugging it off for now.

The three ate their share, to Satomi's surprise, Paimon was the first to finish. Looks like the little girl has a black hole for a stomach, she thought.

After eating their food, the three walked outside the cafe. Satomi waved goodbye at the duo as she had an important meeting to attend.

When the two where finally alone, Paimon teased him. "Yooouuu like heeeer.~"

"Nah, I don't think I do." Aether shrugged before walking away, planning to find the the hotel called "Golden Paradise".

(Now that I think about it. Satomi has the slight smell of a Dragon and the Anemo Element... Is she... a Dragon God Successor too?) Aether wondered, while Paimon went to her sub-space for the time being.

(Hmm. That Aether guy has the smell of a Dragon and the Pyro Element, not only that, but he has the smell of the Anemo Element as well. Is he a Dragon God Successor or something different.) Satomi wondered for a moment, before entering the Knights of Favonius headquarters. She arrived inside of the headmaster's office.

"I'm here." Satomi announced as she entered the room.

"You're 30 minutes late, Satomi." A beautiful blonde woman complained. A height of 5'6 with grey eyes and medium-length blonde hair tied in a ponytail by a black bow. She wears a white frock with open shoulders and a blue and white bow in the front. And a blue and white cap, and white tights and ankle boots.

"Give the kid a break Jean. Maybe she just met a man you know." Another woman said. She was as tall as the blonde woman now named Jean, a woman who has lime green eyes and long light brown tied in a side ponytail by a hair tie with a blue rose. Her outfit is largely many shades of purple. She wore a witch's outfit.

"Really, Lisa?" Jean deadpanned.

"Hey, I'm just saying." The brown haired woman now known as Lisa shrugged.

"Actually, Miss Lisa is right. But we should start the meeting shall we." Satomi said.

"Oh.~"

"Very well, now that all of us are here, let us start the meeting. Everyone please take your seats." Jean said.

"Okay." Amber and Satomi said at the same time.

"Nah, I think I'll just stay here on the wall." A man that has has a tanned complexion and navy-blue hair with streaks of lighter blue, accompanied by a waist-length lock of hair that begins at the base of his scalp on the back of his head at the left. 

"Whatever suits you Kaeya. Now, let us start." Jean said.

Aether layed down on his room. It took a long time, but he finally arrived on the hotel Amber mentioned. It was 6 story tall hotel with 15 rooms on the second and sixth floor. He was able to get the first room on the hotel which he was thankful for. He payed 15,000 Mora to stay at the hotel for three nights afterall.

"I'll go to the Adventurers guild tomorrow." Aether mumbled before falling asleep.
