The sun shone brightly in the clear sky, while birds fluttered joyfully amidst the houses.

Approaching the object that had captured my attention from afar, I found myself standing before a mysterious structure crafted from an unfamiliar material, emitting a subtle reddish glow. Its sleek form and design surpassed the precision achievable by human hands.

It was a Teleport Waypoint, one of those devices capable of transporting players across the vast world of Teyvat.

"Will it work for me? I'm not the Traveler, and I do not believe I belong to the same race..."

Nevertheless, my curiosity was greater.

I extended my hand and gently brushed the cool surface of the Waypoint. Upon contact, a peculiar sensation settled in my mind, causing a slight dizziness as if something were delving into my memories.

Before I could fully comprehend the situation, the device emitted a faint buzzing sound, and its reddish glow transformed into a bluish hue. Suspended a few inches above the ground, it appeared to detach itself from the pedestal that supported it.

And then, I heard it.

"Kaito? What are you doing here?"

I would recognize that animated voice anywhere. I swiftly turned around and found myself face-to-face with her, standing beneath the shade of her bunny-eared accessory, her gaze fixed on me with curiosity.

"Amber, it's good to see you." I said with a small smile.

She bounded toward me and looked my appearance from head to toe, as if to make sure it was really me. Her golden eyes shimmered with joy.

"Kaito, I have important news for you today—" Her words trailed off abruptly as her attention shifted to something behind me.

I turned to find the cause of her distraction. The floating Waypoint emitted an unusual soft bluish glow, distinct from its usual appearance. Amber's eyebrows arched in surprise.

"Did you activate this, Kaito? I've never seen one glow like this before..." She asked with a tone filled with suspicion. Her narrowed eyes faced me accusingly as if waiting for an answer.

"Well, uh... about these devices, I don't really know much," I said scratching the back of my neck. Admitting that I had activated it was not something I desired...

I had taken precautions to ensure no one witnessed my actions, yet fate fuck me by bringing Amber here at that very moment.

Amber pondered for a few seconds before responding, "These are peculiar devices scattered throughout Teyvat. They are believed to hold a certain order and are considered ancient tricks. Although no one knows their purpose, we have grown accustomed to their presence."

"I see."

"Will you just tell me 'I see'? I want to know how you managed it."

Amber's captivating golden eyes bore into me. Arms crossed and a frown etched on her face, she clearly desired more information.

"Honestly, I didn't do anything. I was merely passing by when I noticed the change in color."

"Yuck, don't lie to me. You're the one who's been hanging around this place." She approached menacingly with a raised finger accusingly. "Yesterday, this thing was still red. Admit it, you've uncovered some secret method, haven't you?"

I let out a weary sigh. "Sigh... Seriously Amber, why do you show up just when I don't want to talk?"

"What can I say? I have impeccable timing. Now spill the beans, are you going to share your secret or not?"

"No."

"..."

However, Amber was taken aback by my immediate refusal. She was looking at me with her golden eyes full of curiosity, though I could also detect a hint of distrust.

This woman doesn't give up easily...

"Come on, Kaito. You've already managed to activate the stone somehow. You should lend me a hand in investigating it," she insisted eagerly. "Surely your skills can help us uncover the true purpose of this ancient artifact."

"I refuse. You're still a nuisance." I turned to leave.

"Wait, Kaito!" She tightly grasped my arm. "I know you're curious to learn more. Just let me—"

In that instant, a blinding glow engulfed me, distorting the surroundings. A peculiar dizziness overcame me, as if my body was being compressed from all directions.

What the hell was going on?!

When I regained my sight, I was surprised to find myself in a completely different place... and in my chest, I felt a weight. When I looked down, I discovered Amber trembling and trying not to vomit.

"Ge... Get... Get away!" Amber's voice cracked, her hand clutching her stomach. Her face had taken on a concerning greenish tinge.

I quickly pushed her away with a gentle push, just in time before she emptied the contents of her stomach. She sank to her knees, gasping for breath, while I stood by, watching with concern. Fortunately, my resistance only left me with a slight, uncomfortable giddiness in my stomach.

"Take deep breaths. You're going to be fine." I reassured her, crouching down and conjuring a gentle breeze to surround us. I began to stroke her back to soothe her.

Gradually, the sickly pallor on her face subsided. When she finally looked up at me, her cheeks had regained their usual rosy hue, though she appeared somewhat embarrassed.

"I'm so sorry, truly."

Then, it seemed as though realization dawned upon her. She surveyed our surroundings with alarm and exclaimed, "Why are we in Windrise?!"

"Apparently, the artifact teleported us here."

We were under the grand tree where it had been previously, to be precise, a few steps from the statue of the Archon Barbatos.

The reason? Maybe we ended up here because I had thought of returning to this spot after bidding farewell to Amber... In the game, the statues of The Seven also functioned as teleportation points.

"You can teleport us anywhere?! That's amazing, Kaito!"

I couldn't help but release a sigh. "Yeah, yeah, that's great. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going for a walk to clear my mind." I turned around, intending to leave.

"W-Wait!" She grasped my arm once again.

"I-I have a significant reason for seeking you out today." She extended her hand, palm up, revealing a small square object with excitement gleaming in her eyes. "This is the Wind Glider. And I... want to teach you how to soar through the skies using it!"

Raising an eyebrow, I observed her with curious eyes. How do I tell her I already know how to fly?

"You see, Amber, it's adorable that you want to teach me how to fly, but... I can already fly." I winked at her, accompanied by a smile.
