7 A talk

Going back in the past a bit.

Isaac followed where the signal of the thing trying to communicate with him was.

Needless to say, the closer he got, the more the 'signal' got louder. And it seems like the one trying to communicate with him was also sensing his presence as he felt like the 'signal' was changing from being polite to anticipation.

Which was odd. Very, very, very odd to Isaac. He even assumed that the thing calling him was some kind of a fan calling for their idol.

Anyways, he continued traveling whilst leaving behind a path of unbreakable ice.

This unbreakable ice was something he saw everywhere in the mountain. Some are small while some are a cluster of them forming a massive formation.

Isaac tried to destroy them using fire but they don't seem to be able to extinguish under normal fires. He tried dropping a small one from the summit down below but in the end, it didn't even crack.

It was as if the ice itself is fortified to resist everything.

But, of course, Isaac managed to break it. He merely inspected it for a bit before finding out its composition and how it's formed.

Ultimately, he managed to recreate them using normal snow. Likewise, he can destroy them easily and reduce them to snow too.

Seeing how tough they are, he decided to make them when he needs to create paths or bridges so that they will be REALLY sturdy.

This is also the reason why Moccus was able to walk on the paths he made without breaking them with his massive body.

He continued walking, creating ice paths and bridges over many obstacles until he finally reached the center of the signal he was receiving.

It was a circular secluded area that very much looked like an arena in Isaac's perspective. And on the middle, four ice cubicles were floating, surrounding a crystal at its center.

And at that moment, the signal Isaac was receiving finally became clearer.

The 'signal' was so loud that it felt like waves of pulses were radiating from the strange creature, all directing to Isaac.

"Who are you..." At this moment, a deep and echoing but somehow humble voice that is a combination of a male and female's voice was heard. "To share the same dominion as the Cryo Archon?"

At that moment, Isaac was greatly taken back and was perplexed. 'Cryo Archon? Who's that?'

Truly, he just wanted to know what was calling for him; he didn't expect that the thing waiting for him would question him about something he didn't know.

Without waiting for the confused Isaac's reply, the Cryo Hypostasis continued speaking. "The Cryo Archon... Only acknowledges its subsidiary Gods from the cryo domain to stay beside them in the north..."

"As for you... You have just recently been born..." The hypostasis time started getting curious. "Most, but not all Gods today were born after the human realm was established..."

"You are... A peculiar one." The hypostasis said with great interest.

At this moment, Isaac needed to intervene with what it was just saying. "Hold on... A God? Me? But how?"

"Yes..." The hypostasis confirmed. "Gods... Are just mere titles. What they truly are... Are powerful beings that have great elemental control..."

'So... I really am a god?' Isaac questioned himself. To him, it felt weird. Being called a God out of nowhere all of a sudden. 'I was just a normal human a week ago, but now, I'm being called a God by a strange cube thing...'

He then shook his head and went back to the conversation. "Hold on, I have many questions."

"First of all, what and who are you? Second, who is the Cryo Archon? And lastly, are you sure that I am truly a God and not some other creature? Maybe a human with exceptional elemental control?" Isaac asked.

Hearing Isaac's questions, the Hypostasis' four cubes spun in a clockwise way as if it was having fun, slightly revealing its crystal-shaped core inside. "I will... Gladly answer."

"For the first question... I am a higher elemental being. I have abandoned my previous form to assume this current form that has many advantages..." The hypostasis started explaining. "As for who I am... I believe the humans under the God of the Woods... The Dendro Archon... call me a 'Cryo Hypostasis'."

"To the next question... The current cryo archon is ▇▇▇. And along with the cryo archon, another younger God has control over cryo... Is staying by their side..."

The hypostasis then slightly approached Isaac, which started the latter. "Which brings me the matter... Are you interested in joining the Cryo Archon?"

"Uhh..." Although Isaac wanted to answer that he does... But because of his lack of information regarding the cryo archon as well as still being trapped in the mountain, he could only reject it. "Forgive me. But I have to reject the offer."

"... A pity..." The Hypostasis said with a low voice.

A few seconds later, it changed the topic. "Lastly... For the third question... I am quite sure. For I, and perhaps other cryo creatures, feel a connection towards you..."

"Is that so..." Isaac silently muttered as he began thinking. 'Then does that mean the cryo-type creatures around me feel like they have some sort of connection with me? Hmm..."

The hypostasis just watched silently as Isaac thought of something. And after a minute or so, it spoke. "I... Wish to offer something..."

"Hm? What's that?" Isaac said as he snapped out of his thinking.

"I wish to stay accompany you." The hypostasis said. "You see... I had always been here. But because of the Ley Lines, I cannot escape this secluded area..."

"But with your cryo control... I believe that you can take me out of here..."

'A hypostasis, huh?' Isaac started thinking. 'To be honest, having something like it as a companion has a lot of benefits. I can tell that it packs quite a punch and has a lot of uses...'

'Not to mention that it seems to know a lot of information...' Isaac added.

After contemplating for a while, Isaac finally agreed. "Alright. I'll help you out of here."

"Thank you..." The hypostasis thanked Isaac as it levitated in the air.

"Then, what should I call you?" Isaac asked. He didn't want to continue calling it Cryo Hypostasis, it was just too wordy.

"Daleth." The cryo hypostasis replied.

Hearing this, Isaac gave a small nod and welcomed the new companion. At least now, he and Moccus will have another company in this lonely mountain.

Soon, Moccus arrived to see Isaac covered in some rock debris because Daleth forced the surrounding pebbles to levitate around with its excitement.
