69 The Small Journey Pt. 7

"So my lady. Can you tell me more about the world? I'm afraid I'm not quite informed of what's happening in the world other than in Liyue and Inazuma although barely in that nation. " Aether asked for Signora's help. Signora smirked.

" I thought you would be knowledgeable. Looks like you're all brawn with no brains. And all that brawn is no use since you're just all bark and no bite. " Signora mocked Aether while smirking triumphantly. Aether chuckled.

"You know this has no effect on me right? I'll show you on the battlefield someday." Aether said. Signora huffed.

"Someday? You'll be long dead before you even try to catch up to my power." Signora boasted proudly. Aether shook his head and thought." Thankfully she doesn't know I'm immortal. Or else she'd be trying to kill me with every chance she gets."

" You underestimate my power my lady. " Aether said faking a serious face but smiling all the while.

" Underestimate? More like I don't even care. I could swat you away like a fly. Want to see me do that now? " Signora mocked while her grey eyes were getting darker. Aether sweat dropped.

" I think I'm fine. I would rather not ruin our one time dinner." Aether put both of his hands up trying but failing to calm Signora down.

" Maybe you'll get to see a glimpse of my power later. Just wait. " Signora's eyes stopped being intimidating. The people sitting around them were shitting their pants at her killer intent oozing out. Aether breathed out a big sigh of relief.

"Dodge a meteor bigger than Zhongli's there." Aether thought. The food arrived and they started eating. They made small talk, with Signora mocking and teasing Aether while Aether teased and mocked her back. Overall it was what you would probably expect of a dinner between enemies. After they finished eating and Aether paying a whopping 500,000 Mora for the two of them, they exited the mansion like restaurant.

It was still raining outside, the umbrella was on top of their heads again.

"You know, I didn't expect myself to say this but it was fun. I enjoyed our time together." Aether finally said while smiling brightly. Signora got a smirk on her face again.

"You enjoyed being mocked as well?" Signora asked raising her eyebrow.

"Yes I do. That means I get to look at your beautiful grey eyes every time you talk to me with that melodious voice of yours. " Aether replied smirking back. Signora got a blush the size of her pinky finger.

"Tch! Flattery will get you nowhere Aether! " Signora shouted out loud. It was muffled by the sounds of the rain dripping heavily from the sky but Aether heard it all.

" Awwwww. You said my name. I like the way you say it by the way. Say it again for me please. " Aether said getting closer to her.

" No! Never! " She shouted and suddenly stopped walking. Aether stopped as well.

" Listen Aether! If you think i enjoyed this dinner or whatever the you've got me all wrong. I was ordered by the Tsaritsa herself to come her on a diplomatic mission! I'm a Harbinger! I won't enjoy stuff and I never will! You don't understand the goals of the Tsaritsa and you better don't get curious, or else you'll face a lot of pain!" Signora shouted it all in one sentence. Aether petted her head and smiled.

" You're right, I don't understand The Tsaritsa's goals. And maybe I will never truly understand her. But you don't have to be angry at me, I enjoy life while I can. You should give it a try as well, I would like to go on dinners like this again but it's a shame we're enemies. " Aether said while petting her head. He was shaking a lot while doing that. He didn't know what he was thinking, he just hoped she doesn't lash out at him.

Signora just swatted his hand away with a hard slap. Aether winced a little.

" You don't understand..... " She muttered. They continued walking in silence.

Once they were outside the hotel doors Aether sudden stopped. He was smiling a little. Signora stopped walking when noticing him stop. She turned to him with an annoyed look "What do you want now?" She asked with an annoyed tone. Aether smiled brighter.

"You know, I heard at the end of a date, the woman has to kiss the man on the cheek and the man doing the same to the woman. Wanna try that? " Aether asked Signora. Signora looked like she was about to throw a ball of flames at him.

" I'm sure as hell not doing that! No! Nuh uh! Never! " Signora denied again and again. Aether whined like a child.

"Awww c'mon. It's just a small peck on the cheek. It'll be for a second and you can get in the hotel after that. " Aether persuaded. Signora growled.

" F-Fine! Just for a second! " Signora said. She slowly got closer to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

" Chu! " Aether felt like he was in heaven. The warmth of her lips just made his whole night all worth it.

" Now it's my turn. " Aether grinned. Signora's eye twitched.

"If i see you try something....." Signora warned. Aether shook his head.

"I promise on my handsome face I wouldn't try something." Aether swore. Signora rolled her eyes and reluctantly closed them. She was nervous and Aether could see it. She was rubbing her hands behind her back. Aether smirking smugly and thought. "You're pretty dumb to trust me. I'm pretty dumb to do this as well." Aether kissed Signora on the lips passionately.

"Mmm!!" Signora opened her eyes in shock. The kiss lasted for ten plus seconds with Signora's lips unconsciously kissing back to Aether's lips.

Aether had his hands around Signora's waist so she won't escape.

"Mm~!" Signora moaned a little. She widened her eyes coming back in control and pushed Aether away.

"Pervert сволочь!" Signora shouted and slapped Aether in the face.

"Ack!" Aether flew away and hit the floor. He felt the pain, both from the slap and him falling down 50+ steps.

"Don't come near me ever again идиот!" Signora shouted and ran away as fast as Aether's eyes can see. All he saw was a small blur and it was gone. He got up rubbing his sore face.

"Was it worth it? Hell yeah it was." Aether smirked and walked back to his Victorian Style Office Apartment.

Signora ran back to her bedroom avoiding her agents. She closed the door and locked it as tight as possible.

She took a pillow and buried her face in her. She was blushing. "Fucking perverted asshole! Why didn't I think he was going to do that?! But that kiss though..... " Signora touched her lips and blushed harder.

" The last time I felt like this was..... I don't even know how long ago it was..... " Signora whispered. She decided to forget it for now and went to take a shower.

The next day, Aether went back to Angel's Share. He saw Venti drinking like it was the last day on Teyvat.

" Yo Venti. Where's Diluc? "Aether asked. Venti pointed in front of him and Aether looked at where he was pointing.

Diluc looked at Aether with some worry in his eyes.

" You didn't tell me he was involved as well bard? " Diluc said glaring at him Venti shrugged.

" Whatever he's here now. Shall we get started? " Venti asked to everyone in the room. They nodded.

" But first we have a special guest. Making a special private appearance. Introducing, Jean! " Venti's pointed to Jean coming down the stairs.

" Hello Aether. You have some explaining to do. " Jean looked at him with her dark blue eyes. The others looked at Aether curiously.

" Oh dear. Paimon knew this was coming. " Paimon said sighing in Aether's head. Aether remained calm.

" We'll deal with it together like always. " Aether replied back inside.
