Chapter 33: To Liyue

(Alexander POV)

As the Ruin Grader's left arm approached intending to punch me, I swiftly repositioned my spear easily deflecting its massive fist.

Then, with quick movements, I dashed towards the weak point, swinging my spear and instantly destroying the two glowing orange orbs in each of its feet.

*screak*

An electronic sound could be heard as the Ruin Grader stiffened for a moment giving me enough time to activate my newly obtained skills.

Orange-colored particles then crept out of my feet as they danced and twirled enveloping every inch of my being.

The Yaksha mask, previously hanging on the sides of my belt, vanished into thin air, only to resurface seamlessly, now adorning my face with a savage yet mystical feel.

Activating my elemental burst, the inverted Staff of Homa became enveloped with the same orange-colored aura.

With a grin on my face, I dashed towards the glowing orange orb on its face using a technique seemingly similar to Xiao's elemental skill.

An orange-colored flash of light then passed through the Ruin Grader only to stop a few meters behind it as my visage appeared twirling around my spear.

*BOOM*

The Ruin Grader then exploded as my last attack destroyed the core and most of its components.

"Real men don't look back on explosions," I said as I tried to act cool even though no one was around to see me.

With a chuckle, I then gazed at the orange-sandy aura enveloping my body.

'Mmm, I like this the most. Seems like my Adepti form would be using Geo as its main element.' I said to myself as I admired my Adapti power.

Earlier after leaving Xiao on the ruins, I came across a Geoculus hidden on the crack underneath a boulder.

After consuming the Oculi and adapting to the Geo element, I wandered around the Guili Ruins looking for enemies to test my Adepti powers. And the results were satisfying to say at least.

To explain the gains I had by gaining the Adepti form, I would return in time for a bit.

While scanning Xiao, I saw his Lower (located underneath his stomach), Middle (located close to the heart), and Upper (located close to the brain) had Adepti, Anemo, and Negative Energy varying in different degrees.

His Lower and Upper Dantian contains about 50% Adepti, 30% Anemo, and 20% Negative Energy.

The Middle Dantian contains 90% Negative, 5% Adepti, and 5% Anemo Energy.

With the Dantian's rotating energy to his meridians, I saw the Adepti and Anemo energy strengthening him but the Negative was slowly corrupting him.

At first, when my transformation into a Yaksha finished, I could not sense any kind of energy. But after a few minutes, my heart started pumping out pure Adepti energy.

With some knowledge about cultivation from the novels I had read and considering Liyue should be the Chinese equivalent of Teyvat a few ideas came into my mind.

As the energy slowly seeped into my body, I felt my body was slowly getting stronger. While the increase was negligible, an increase is an increase so I did a bit of experimentation.

With perfect control of my body and energy, I slowly fused the Adepti Energy with the Abyss, Anemo, and Geo energies.

The Abyss + Adepti energy turned out pretty potent. My body would be coated by a dark murky substance capable of dealing DOT damage to everyone around a certain distance around me as it slowly corrupts them and turns them into Abyss beings.

The Anemo + Adepti allows me to move faster and has a piercing effect.

Finally, the Geo + Adepti gave me an increase in raw power and defense.

Because no one is here to teach me how to use Adeptal energy to cast spells like Shenha and the like. The only way for me to use my energy is to coat myself on it as I use it like Aura while it passively strengthens me like a cultivator.

I haven't tried mixing more than one element with the Adepti energy yet because that would be for later, no reason to do that now as I won't be able to use it anyway.

I am a Geo elemental, Spear-wielding Yaksha who lost his memories.

The earliest memory that I had was when I woke up in a random cavern underneath Dragonspine as it collapsed from the tremors of the White monster that appeared earlier.

After a gruesome battle and barely escaping with my life, I found myself on the way to Liyue.

'I think this background is good enough. As long as I don't use the Abyss energy, I should be fine. Venti saw me in my Mahoraga form earlier and in that form, I am radiating the Abyss energy and should be considered an Abyss monster. I might look sus as a Yaksha appearing out of nowhere is definitely sus but not that sus, just semi sus.' I convinced myself with my impeccable reasoning as I nodded my head.

'Why does that Fatui mob even have Liyue NPC clothing anyway?' I said to myself as I examined the gray NPC-like Liyue clothing I am currently wearing.

'Well, this is better than my Treasure Hoarder Grunt drip so I shouldn't complain much. I wonder how Zongli and the gang would react when they see me. Mmm, I should play it cool and pretend I don't know anything. I should leak some of my Adepti energy so I would easily be spotted and they won't think I am a fake.' Even with my mind wandering about, my speed did not decrease as I could now see the capital of Liyue from afar.

'My first stop would be Xiangling's restaurant. Next, I would slowly wander around toward the port to buy some supplies and possible Inazuma clothing. Then when I get the stuff I need, I should go to the storyteller close to the Fatui bank, I forgot the name of the place but I remember Yun Jin performing there from time to time. I wanna see her performance live.' With my plans done, I speed towards Liyue's main gate.
