1 Chapter 1: Genshin Impact

(Third Person POV)

Inside a room devoid of natural light, the sound of rapid clicking could be heard.

*clicking noises intensifies*

A young man silently staring at the screen could be seen showing a look of despair as an image of a young girl with blue hair and pinkish eyes wearing a Chinese-styled outfit with two ice-covered ghosts on the screen.

The man closed his eyes before letting out a long sigh with a little bit of tear in his eyes.

"C7 Qiqi very nice"

The man then reached out for his phone to check his PayPal account only to find a dollar inside. He then stared at the timer on the screen indicating that there was only a minute left before the Navia banner ended.

With a wry smile, the man muttered. "I hate this game. Like seriously every frikkin time. 50/50? More like 80/20."

The man then closed the game application before turning off his computer and then lay on the bed inside the room. After a few minutes of turning around to find a comfortable position, the man closed his eyes and fell asleep.

(MC POV)

As I woke up the first thing that came to my mind was. Eating an expired Cup Noodles was bad, wasn't it?

Seriously? Am I tripping or what? What is this? I have many questions but the most important one is where am I.

I was sure that I slept on the bed inside my room in my house. So why am I on a sandy beach facing the ocean right now? Maybe this is all a lucid dream? Or something is wrong with the expired cup noodles I ate earlier. I think it must have been the noodles. Yes, it was definitely the noodles.

After taking a seat on the sand and staring at the ocean for a few minutes I started to ponder about life.

'What is life?'

As I blank out about some stupid thoughts I hear the sound of something bouncing. At first, I ignored it but as I felt that the sound was getting closer I turned to look in the direction where the sound was coming from.

I saw a blue round jelly-like figure bouncing coming straight at me.

"Slime?" I said as I stared at the small cute round object rushing at me.

I stood up then as the slime got closer it lunged at me. As its movements were slow I simply sidestepped to evade the cute thing's attack. While it doesn't look like it could hurt me much I decided to simply evade while continuing to curiously examine the creature.

After evading a few more times, I decided to kick the slime as hard as I could. The slime then collided with the edge of a rock protruding out of the ocean.

*pop*

After a cute popping sound, a small blue screen appeared in front of me.

"Eh?" I said as I stared at the screen dumbfounded. I then reached my hand out to click status. Instantly a new window popped out.

As I stared at the floating window that looked similar but with a few differences I unconsciously muttered the name of the game that I played since the first day of its release. "Genshin?"

After a few minutes of staring at the screen blankly I closed it to check out the other two remaining tabs.

The bag seemed to be a normal inventory system on games that enables stacking on the same type of items and I had a thousand free spaces as on the bottom right side of the screen I saw the numbers 0/1000.

I then closed the Bag and opened the Wish tab.

The wish tab was simple but contrary to the games version my wish tab only contains the weapon banner. On the top right side of the screen, the icon of a primogem could be seen displaying the number 0.

The summon button on the bottom of the screen is the same as the games which had x1 or x10 options using primogems no fates it seems.

As I was about to close the window to my surprise I found the words FREE for the first spin beside the x10 button. I chuckled hard as I said, "This wish system is a lot more generous than the lantern rite's 3 Interwined Fates."

While I am still confused I am not dumb enough to continue blaming the cup noodles for what is happening. As a gamer and anime enthusiast, I can at least infer that I possibly got transmigrated to some other world.

I may be on Teyvat or not but at least the pop-up window in front of me gives a typical Genshin vibe which is easy for me to understand.

I then decided to click the x10 button to at least get armed to better protect myself before I conduct further exploration to understand where I am right now.

After clicking the x10 button the animation looked the same as the games and sadly for me I only got 1 4s weapon from the wish I had made.

"Heh, I see even on this gacha my luck is still terrible huh. The RNG gods doesn't favor this poor pagan" I chuckled at my misfortune as I look at the items I got.
