32. You Again

The little boy Gin accompany them to an inn and before he leaves, he was paid by Auntie Tian as the team's treasurer. He was also asked to be their guide tomorrow which he happily accepted.

Being a guide is one of the lowest occupation in the Central. They barely survive by doing menial jobs and paid in a low rate that they use to buy their foods.

The next day, early in the morning, the little boy was already waiting outside the inn and was called by Bai Zihan inside their room instructed by Meixiang. When Meixiang saw the little boy, she raised her left eye brow and didn't talk.

They then accompanied by their little guide to stroll around the Central. They went to buy their essentials first, then wander around the plaza, a place where small trades usually takes place.

Tian Ling pull the whole team to where the people are gathered most.

The stall they went to is currently organizing a stone gambling. Two players will put down the same amount they agreed to. They will choose one stone each. The onlookers can also bet whom among the two picked a stone with higher value ore inside. After the bet are placed, the mud around the ore will be removed and the ore appraiser will judge the ores. Whoever have the higher value of ore inside is the winner. The winner will earn the bet money placed by the other player and the ore he paid. On the other hand, the onlookers who placed their bets in the winning player will gather the amount placed by those who placed their bets on the failed player and will divide it according to the rate of the money they bet.

When the ore appraiser gave his judgement, Tian Ling shouted when he won the bet. He is the only one who put a bet on the second player so naturally, he won all the gambled money of the onlooker who placed their bets to the first player. This is all thanks to Meixiang.

The next game, Bai Zihan, and the others also placed the bet where Meixiang said. Another round was won by them once again.

The other onlookers are observing this and some doubtedly follow Tian Ling's bets starting with just small amounts. When they won one after another the gambling of the onlookers are no longer profitable as everyone is betting on where Meixiang instructed.

Tian Ling frown and look at the crowd full of hostility.

"Little Xiang. Let's go to the other stalls. This people are starting to eye on you."

Meixiang was about to nod when the tray of stones are replaced by another batch of stones.

When the organizer of the stall asked of the next players, Meixiang step forward without any hesitation.

The people who is present and saw Meixiang's luck on the past bets unknowingly took a step back. No one step forward to be her opponent. Part of the crowd started to recruit other people.

The crowd gets bigger and the new people joined the crowd. The old part of the crowd didn't speak and grip their betting moneys looking at Meixiang, ready to earn a lot today.

Not far away from the stall where the stone gambling is operating, a girl in lilac hanfu gets down from a carriage went straight to the crowd. The crowd voluntarily give way when they saw the lady in lilac hanfu and her entourage. When they saw the emblem on the armour of the soldiers, they all recognize the origin of the lady in lilac.

This is the symbol of Wei Kingdom, a grade A kingdom. Kingdoms are graded from highest to lowest as S, A, B, C, D, E, and F. Currently, there are only four S kingdoms which are ranked as four most powerful countries. A grade A kingdom is only one step away to become an S grade and this Wei Kingdom is the strongest and best candidate to become the next S grade nation.

Meixiang's lips arched when she saw the lady in lilac dress. It is the little girl whom they encounter way back at the Wei Kingdom. It is the day before they get inside the White Forest, it's the lady in peach dress whom wanted to buy the entire collection of the newly out dress and ended up buying the entire shop.

The lady in lilac dress gets irritated with Meixiang's smile. She is named Wei Manran, a princess of Wei Kingdom. She just arrived here at the Central a week ago to participate in the entrance exam of the upcoming enrollment of the Central Academy. She was strolling around the plaza of Central when she saw a familiar face outside her carriage window.

That time when they met, she can't reveal her identity and can only use her resources to insecure Meixiang but the situation went the opposite of her expectation. She didn't expect to meet her again but luck seems on her side.

"This princess will play." when Wei Manran said this, no one refuted. Wei Manran walks toward Meixiang's direction.

"This princess didn't expect to see Dan Meixiang."

Meixiang faintly smiled, "Meixiang didn't expect the princess of Wei Kingdom would remember Meixiang's name."

"This princess remembers every single debt."

Meixiang asked innocently, "A debt? Meixiang didn't know the princess of Wei Kingdom considered such debt. Is it a debt of losing face or losing money the princess is talking? Please enlighten this ignorant Meixiang."

Wei Manran was about to faint in anger. This peasant is really deliberate!

"Would the princess want to bet the same amount she spent when she bought the whole shop?"

Wei Manran tried to sound herself calm, "Let's bet the biggest amount you have."

Meixiang didn't oppose and estimated the amount of one of her other interspatial rings contain as she can't remove her currently worn interspatial ring which is hiding her summoner's sign.

The crowd was dumbfounded.

Interspatial sack is a luxury to other kingdoms but it's not that extraordinary sight seeing a person with interspatial sack in the Central. On the other hand, interspatial ring is owned by those really can afford. These are members of powerhouses or leaders of other organizations. But this little girl have four!

Wei Manran gritted her teeth, "This princess didn't bring such amount. This princess is not ignorant to make herself be a target of delinquents just to boast around."

Meixiang chuckled. "Central is a place with a single rule of 'The strongest reign'. Killing isn't a crime. Why would the princess have such a small concern."

The crowd is eating pop corn with the two ladies fighting thru words.

The princess of Wei Kingdom just called the little girl an ignorant of bringing such possession and showing it off to boast but the little girl named Dan Meixiang just wisely answered that these delinquents are small concern to her. Not only she blatantly said she and her confidants are strong but also said the Wei Kingdom can't afford to solve such a small concern.

"This Meixiang understood. The princess of Wei Kingdom didn't bring such amount. The princess is from an A grade kingdom ofcourse such small amount is not a problem to a princess of Wei Kingdom. The princess, when this Meixiang first time saw her, got to know her she's with a hobby to buy a whole shop in ordinary days."

Everyone choke.

"Then this can only negotiated by a---" Meixiang smiled more and look at Wei Manran in a challenging gaze raising her chin, "--waiver?"

Not only she continue to mention the status and Wei Manran's origin but she also gave her a challenging gaze. This gaze was understood by Wei Manran as a challenge towards not only to her but also to the Wei Kingdom.

"Yes. A waiver then."

Wei Manran's confidant are too late to stop their princess' quick response. If they did, they can only lost their faces as a people of Wei Kingdom. They can only hope she will win the bet.

After some minutes, the waiver is done and together with the interspatial ring of Meixiang, it was put on the betting table.

Meixiang and Wei Manran gave a hundred taels each for the price of the stones. The both of them wrote the number of the stone they chose. The organizer of the small event then showed the numbers to the crowd. The assistants of the stall pick and place the chosen stones on the table in front of Meixiang and Wei Manran.

"The audience can now start to place their bets."

Tian Ling gave a signal to Bai Zihan. Bai Zihan look at Old Leng, the both nodded and followed according to Tian Ling's script.

"Aiyooooo is that the genius princess on the news who is known to recognize ston----"

"Grandpa!"

"What? What?" Old Leng who seems to realize something cough loudly and simply gave a interspatial sack to Bai Zihan and whispered in an audible voice. "Bet everything to the princess! Quick!"

Wei Manran smiled arrogantly when she saw Bai Zihan put his bet on her side.

Part of the crowd who knew those two are Meixiang's company can't help but twitch their faces. If they are not here earlier, they would be in rash to put their bet on the princess of Wei Kingdom. They then smartly go with the flow and also put an act nodding their heads continously saying good things and fake testimony about Wei Manran in an audible voice to be heard by the newly appeared crowd.

Wei Manran raised her head more showing full of arrogance.

The newly appeared part of the crowd then bet on Wei Manran's side. Before the bet ended, Tian Ling put his bet on Meixiang's side carrying Old Leng and Bai Zihan's real bet. The smart side of the crowd followed.

When the ore appraiser appeared, the crowd is not at ease. Meixiang is the most relax. Wei Manran and her confidants are the most anxious.

They remove first the mud and sand of the chosen stone of Wei Manran. When a cyan colored stone appeared, everyone is in uproar. When they heard the ore appraiser's voice, they confirm that they have seen right.

"Serendibite Psen Ore. Only two is existing in the whole realm. One is in the museum of the Kiwan Nation while the other is possessed by the Lady of Lian Family of the Central. Although this is in small size, it's still the rare Serendibite Psen Ore. This one is priced as one and a half million of taels."

Everyone is in turmoil. That's one and a half million worth of taels! Those who placed their bets on Wei Manran is now fantasizing their not yet won taels. Wei Manran is now hundred times more arrogant than before. Her confidants gave a sigh of relief inwardly.

The ore appraiser then moved to Meixiang's stone. When the ore was cleaned and a white sphere appeared, the appriaser can't help but frown thinking of something. He move his apparatus in checking the stone completely and suddenly he stood straight. Gulping, he move away his heavy apparatus away from the white ball like he's scared it would break the ore. He tried to stay calm but his palm is in sweat, he explain in an unhurried voice for everyone can understand,

"This ore is called Moon of the Sea. In ancient times, when mermen are still existing, they said the cries of these creatures turn to become pearls and can heal creatures aside from their own kind. If their tears can heal creatures, their own eyes can bring back a person who is almost dying. This item that can bring back the dead is called Moon of the Sea."

The crowd is in silence. They gone dumb.

"This thing, I'm scared I can't place a price to it. It's priceless."

"Ow. Then did I won?" everyone turn their heads to Meixiang.

Can you wait for us to process things, little miss?! We're about to spit blood here okay.

"Y---yes."

"Good." Meixiang then threw the Moon of the Sea casually inside the sacred book and get back her interspatial ring and the waiver Wei Manran signed.

"You! You dare!" Wei Manran suddenly shouted.

Meixiang smiled. "I dare." throwing the waiver inside her interspatial ring, she said once again in an challenging smile but lazy eyes, "Oops. I just dare."

"Can you afford to offend this princess and the Wei Kingdom?!"

Meixiang faintly smiled, "The princess must not know the unspoken rule inside the Central."

Wei Manran said in a challenging voice but still in a calm manner. "The little girl must think this princess' origin, Wei Kingdom, is weak."

Meixiang slowly shook her head still looking at Wei Manran and said slowly, "Offend no one whom you don't know his origin."

"You seems no ignorant at all. Have this Meixiang gave you a sign this Meixiang is from an ordinary background?" she asked but not asking.

Wei Manran unconciously step back when she saw the now cold and indifferent eyes of Meixiang.

This is to give Wei Manran and the crowd a warning. She is now possessing a priceless mineral naturally Meixiang needs to plant fear to them so they would think twice before they mess with her and her subordinates.

Meixiang only use the unspoken rule of the capital. Strongest reign. Strength; two things can define your strength; your own strength and your backer's strength. Meixiang just used their unknown identity to their advantage and will continue to use this until they can already afford to offend everyone in the Central.
