4 The will of fire

Weeks later, after spending time with lord 3rd, he sent the maid to wake me up.

"Hokage-sama wants you in his office immediately after breakfast."

"Why so early in the morning?" Yawn Ryuu yawned and stretched as he got out of bed.

'Usually he never wakes me up this early.

I wonder what's going on today.'

He thought to himself about the reasons the Hokage woke him up early.

'After eating breakfast I went to the Hokage's office.'

"knock knock knock"

"Come in!"

Ryuu entered his office.

"Ah, Ryuu, you're awake, I hope you had a splendid breakfast," he said as he smiled.

Ryuu nodded.

"Hokage-sama, I heard you called for me here, I was wondering what's going on?"

"Ryuu, I already told you, you don't have to call me by my title just call me sarutobi-sensei, after all these weeks I think of you as more of a student so you don't have to be so formal with me."

Ryuu scratched the back of his head, embarrassingly.

"Sorry, sarutobi-sensei. I'm just used to it, you know."

"No problem,"

he replied.

"Anyway, I called you here to tell you that Sakumo is on his way back from his mission, so you should probably start packing your stuff. He'll be back in 3 days, so be prepared."

"Thank you sarutobi-sensei, but how are you sure he will accept me into his home?"

"To be honest, I don't think he'll accept you in his home."

"What?! How can you give me all this hope just to tell me right when he's on his way?!"

"Calm down child, you have a boiling temper there, I fear for the one to anger you, anyway, I was about to tell you that not only will Sakumo accept you in his home but I fully expect him to accept you in his family he and your father were close enough to be brothers, they fought together so many times but they fought against each other more, they were rivals after all.

And even more, it's because of the will of fire."

"The will of fire?"

"Yes, do you know what the will of fire is, Ryuu?"

Ryuu put his fingers on his chin, trying to remember what it is.

'I've heard it before, I'm sure. Wait! That's it!'

"I don't know if I remember it correctly, but mother always told me about it, she said it's what the hidden leaf was about.

She told me

It doesn't matter what you do, if you live and die as you like, however, no matter what road we end up taking, remember to protect the people that are precious to you those with who you share a home, life and though we may not share blood, they're all precious to me, as for they're all my family.

That is the will of fire I inherited from my mother."

The Hokage had a shocked face, and he remained silent.

After a while, he nodded.

"I see Yuri-Kun and Hanzo taught you well."

He had a smile on his face, and he was happy.

"Hey, old man, can I go explore the village? I never went out that much because mother wanted to stay close to me to protect me, or at least that's what she told me."

'Even at a young age, I was always very perceptive. Sometimes it creeped my father out when he tried to lie to me. I always found out almost immediately.'

"Plus, I should know the village I'm about to protect, right, sarutobi-sensei?"

Ryuu said with a cheeky smile on his face, "Hmph, you truly are the child of Yuri Uzumaki."

Sigh

"Very well then, you can go explore the village as you wish, but be back before it gets dark and I will send some of my Anbu to watch over and protect you."

"YES!!" Ryuu clenched his fist and pumped it into the air.

'this was the first time I was going outside to see the village, so I left as soon as possible.'

The Hokage smiled seeing Ryuu as happy as he was and after he left; The Hokage called an Anbu member.

"Watch him from the shadows and don't let anyone harm him."

"Yes, Hokage-sama."

They said before flickering away.

Ryuu had climbed on top of the Hokage stone faces and was looking at the village from above.

"The first things you see while you enter Konoha are the great Hokage stone faces.

They hailed the 1st Hokage Hashirama Senju to be the god of Shinobi. one of his most legendary feats was his mokuton (wood style). No one apart from him can use that jutsu he had many legendary stories about him.

Then there was the 2nd Hokage Tobirama Senju he was Hashirama's younger brother as far as I know he didn't have any nickname but he had a reputation of being hot-tempered and serious but also calm and calculating, plus he was once hailed as the fastest shinobi alive.

For me, he was the greatest Hokage to ever live, having created many ninjutsu and formed a lot of things in Konoha.

He created the Anbu black ops and founded the shinobi academy in order to prepare the children of the battlefield.

He believed that children should never fight a war made by adults and if they were to fight, they should at least be ready for it.

He also created the exams and missions and he was the most powerful water style user. Legend says he could make a contract with the sea itself and that his chakra was so much he could make a desert look like the ocean with his water style.

Then finally we have Hiruzen sarutobi the 3rd and current Hokage, also known as

Because of his knowledge of ninjutsu, the professor would learn and master them.

He knows all the ninjutsu's existing in the land of fire, excluding kekkei Genkai's.

They say in his prime he was the second shinobi to be called the god of shinobi even though he isn't in his prime anymore, he's still the strongest Kage and ninja right now.

Father was right, after seeing the Hokage stone face I don't want to leave.

I want to be there one day, but before that, I will become the strongest shinobi of all time. I'll master all ninjutsu genjutsu and whatever skill I have to for me to become the most powerful ninja of all time.

And after that, I'll create a world of peace for my friends and family, I'll never let them die for me, and when I do that is when I will become Hokage, that is my promise."

Ryuu took another stroll and visited many areas of the village.

'Before I knew it, it was time to go. We reached the Hokage estate and after all that time they finally left me alone in my room.'
