North Night
This is, by far, the best novel I’ve read. The translation quality is excellent with nothing to be argued. The development of the story is something to gawk at. At first, I’d thought that this was like any other novel I’ve read, but BAM! All the scheming characters who seek Jun Wu Xie’s demise? Faceslapped! All who betray Jun Wu Xie? Faceslapped! All who look upon Jun Wu Xie with lust? Ultimate death! And by who? Her future hubby, Jun Wu Yao! But seriously, Jun Wu Xie has an excellent character. She has a mysterious and painful past that has not yet been revealed as of chapter 1998. Her lack of emotion when most would spat out blood is something that I love about her! Not only that, but I love her cute side as well! I love how she can act as a girl her age when it comes to fluffy animals. As a whole, the novel is extremely interesting. I recommend reading it with 100% honesty! (P.S. the cover was changed? I preferred the last one though... this one makes it seem as if she’s a 37-year-old woman...)
I love this novel, when I started reading it, I had many sleepless nights, unable to put it down until I passed out from exhaustion. Now that I have caught up, I wait anxiously for every new chapter. I never thought a story this long would keep me so sucked in.l, but the author is outstanding and the story is epic.
I rated 5 for everything. The translation quality is great. Before this got on Qidian, the updates were very stable. I hope this novel goes on to top ten so we can have mass releases. The story development is really great. There is a clear goal for the MC and her male lead. As for the character design, I love them. The MC's principles are something I wish every MC in a transmigration novel had. Her ML is very supportive and I love their interactions, especially when the MC finally woke up to her womanly feelings. And the world background in the story is very thorough. I like that there's a clear ranking of the power levels (especially since the rankings are not difficult to remember). This is my favorite transmigration novel so far... And I don't think anything else can top this.
What I liked: 1. Scheming/Revenge. This book has one of the most satisfying face-slappings of the entire genre. This novel is all about watching the MC scheme, and seeing the enemy unknowingly fall into her trap. Seriously, the way everything is set up makes the enemy's downfall feel so good. 2. Plot twists. A lot of the arcs end in an amazing plot twist that just blows your mind. 3. Well written. The translator does an amazing job (read the translations up to ~500). And the Chinese author's writing is pretty decent too. 4. MC Character growth. It was nice to see MC slowly open up and fully trust those around her. 5. Page turner. Some arcs start slow. But besides that, it's rapid action all the way through. What could be improved: 1. Flat side characters. I had a hard time telling the side characters apart from each other until 1000 chapters in. 2. Ending was cliche. It felt disappointing, since I saw it coming from a mile away. But it could have been worse. 3. Slow romance. As in love-interest-appears-once-every-200-chapters kind of slow. But when it does happen, it's adorable. 4. Arcs can start slowly. The first ~20 chapters of some arcs feel like an info dump. I know it's setting the scene for the face slapping later, but sometimes it was a real chore to get through.
If you haven't read this then you definitively should. I won't say too much but just one thing which you won't find in almost all the novels. The male lead doesn't steal the limelight. Jun Wu Xie is a strong, independent, reliable, and highly intelligent and alot of things. She is amazingly charming that you won't find in alot of novels. In most novels female leads are amazing and you won't be disappointed but not as much as the male lead, that's what's the rare thing is in novels. And this is one of the rarest novel. And an amazing one too.
Totally worth the read. This is the first story that I've managed to read over 1500 chapters in just over 2 days. I love how the female lead isn't one of those docile types when it comes to love and actually takes the initiative. I find the plot very interesting and intriguing. It always amazes me how the author is able to think of so many things. You think something is going this way, but then it doesn't. The world building is also amazing. I love, love, love how there are different realms. The antagonists aren't all idiots and some are actually smart. Overall, this is an amazing book and totally deserves the praise that it gets. You just have to be patient because it gets very long.
This is the first Chinese novel translated to English that I have been reading. It is highly addictive, all the characters have intriguing and awesome development. It is the type of novel that can constantly pique your interest. Just when you think you’ve grasped everything about a character, the author would reveal another pleasant surprise. Definitely a must read or you will regret it!!
I'll give you 5 star because this is one of my favorite novel. Anyway, to those who haven't read this yet. What the heck are you waiting for? Don't mind the cover, it doesn't signify what's written inside. GDBBM is one hell of an awesome book that you'll keep on waiting and rereading. The MC Jun Wu Xie, her cute personality and great thinking skills, the other characters, and specially our ML..... will prevent you from dropping this book and keep you on rereading it. - rie
