They stopped at a small stream around dawn to rest, her legs were exhausted and her butt hurt considering this body wasn't used to riding horses. She pushed herself off painfully before being caught by Mu Chen who she couldn't help but stare at, she couldn't tell any of the emotions he felt right now. She was secretly surprised that he actually just agreed to follow her, such trust was too overwhelming.

"You..." Huge drops of tears welled up in her eyes as she couldn't help but feel a sense of relieve like a huge burden had been lifted from her back. "Why did you follow me!? Did you knew you might be classed as a traitor after this?" Her guilt came pouring out uncontrollably as she buried her face in his chest before gently hitting him with her fists. "You really might become an outcast after this, don't you know that!? You won't have a family anymore!" Her voice quietened down as she sniffed before resting her forehead on his chest, he couldn't see his expression but on his face was plastered the smile of a hopeless romantic.

"When I told you I loved you did you really think I was joking?"

Her words were stuck in her throat, what was this? Why was he doing this? Love wasn't enough to abandon everything...

Gently pinching her chin he lifted her face up to face her large puppy eyes. "Liu Lian... Let's get married."
