Genesis Extended – Epilogue

I know from the first place that I am dead. It feels empty.

I can't see anything, no matter what I do, the darkness won't fade away from my eyes.

I feel like I've forgotten something important. Something that makes me regret till my death.

That's right, I can't die here.

"Why can't you die here?"

It's because I want to remove the regret in my death.

"What kind of regret is it?"

I don't know, I can't remember it but I think it's something important.

I have to do something!

"How?"

I don't know. But if I give up here, I'll regret it till the very end. That's why I can't die here--

"Though it seems impossible, you persist to try to live again?"

Right! I won't give up! It feels like something will go wrong if I die just like that!

"That's right! Though it seems impossible, though what I see is mere darkness--"

I just need to hope and decide to live again!

I can see light before me. I feel like someone is telling me to get closer to the light.

"That's right! What you need is to reach the light! Yume san is waiting for you!"

When I see my behind, I see none.

With no hesitation, I reach the light and I hear a girl's voice.

"Satou!!"

That voice… It sounds familiar… But I barely remember it.

"Yume?"

Yume who? Why did I say a name said by that mysterious voice?

Slowly I get my consciousness back, I just get out of the ruined giant tree.

"How many times should I tell you? It's Yumeno!"

Yumeno said as she cries.

On the other side, the WTM personnel is being crowded with reporters who are questioning the fate of the world.

Will the world be invaded by the monsters? Or will another disaster occur?

Then Isshin Kira enters before the reporters, so many cameras take and record him.

"My name is Issho Kemen. As the leader of the WTM. I'll give you a piece of evidence that the world has nothing to do with the Yggdrasil anymore! "

Isshin Kira said.

"Why did the one who caused the incident last year become the leader of the WTM?"

"Isn't that strange? To let a criminal lead the WTM?"

The reporters are getting hesitant.

"A year ago, I picked the wrong path. I used to think that power is everything but I was wrong! Power exists to protect! That's why, from now on, don't worry! If something bad happens, I'll protect all of you!"

The answer shuts the reporters up and Kayonna Charlee who hears that just smiles.

Somewhere in an alley of Ichikawa city, a guy is seen being mugged by many thugs.

"Stop it! It's for my family!"

He whined.

"Like we care about that?"

One of them said.

"Quit it already! You've gone too far!"

Ryoichi Daisuke entered.

"Who are you, sucker?!"

"Looking for a fight, eh!?"

They provoked Ryoichi Daisuke.

"I am a hero! The one who will protect the weaklings from evildoers like you!"

He smirked.

Takayuki is glad to be able to feel peace from afar though he has become a tree in a forest.

"How long has it been? I can't remember it… But, the longer I see, it's just the usual peace."

Takayuki doesn't regret the act he did before, he is satisfied instead.

"At least, I can enjoy the peace of this world."

How about we start a brand new life?

"Genesis."

Genesis means beginning. In other words, it's the beginning of life that just gets started.
