1 Chapter 1

Lucas Thorne Second man in Command of the Dark Army, woke up to find himself at his desk in the General's office.

There were papers scattered everywhere on his desk and the work kept on piling. Sometimes he felt that the four stars he wore proudly on his uniform were heavy. There was no time to lose he had urgent matters to attend to.

He was going through the documents when there was a knock on the door. He instantly knew who it was.

" Come in Kalen".

''Good Morning Sir, did you sleep well?I have brought you your breakfast"

" Not really but thank you for asking. That is rare for you to bring me my breakfast up here"

" Well the General's order Sir".

Are the others awake yet?''

'' Not yet Sir, but they will be soon''.

Lucas look up to see that Kalen had a mischievous smile and he knew what that meant.

''Please go easy on them Kalen''.

" I have no idea what you are talking about Sir". " If you'll excuse me i'll get back to my duties''. Kalen closed the door through which he came.

Knowing Kalen, Lucas was sure that he was up to some mischief.

Kalen Dawn is the butler of the General. He will serve and take orders only from the General.

Lucas decided to take a sip of coffee and went to the windows to take some fresh air.He liked the view of the mountains and the birds flying.

Soon he heard shouting and he signed" God is it too much to ask for a peaceful morning".

He put his mug back on the tray that Kalen had brought and went to see where the ruckus came from.

He opened the door of the office and went through the corridor that lead to the chambers. He arrived in front of a vintage white door with gold decorations. He opened the door to see Scott Winter, Rain Guild and Warren Knox ( his subordinates and friends) all drenched. They all were furious.

"Luke either you talk to Kalen or i swear i will kill him''Scott said.

"Thats not a way to wake up someone" Warren said

'' Its becoming a habit, yesterday it was insects and the day before it was loud music, either you talk to him or we will all end up with a heart attack'' Rain said.

Seeing their faces Lucas couldn't hold in his laughter.

"Dude its not funny at all" Scott said.

''Well calm down ladies, its just water".

'' Just water , it was cold water man'' Rain said.

'' You would not have gone through this if you all woke up on time and besides look at the positive side of it you already took a shower."

" Luke we will see your face the day it happens to you " Warren said.

" It will never happen to me because unlike you dumb heads am always on time''

'' Never say never Luke you never know what might happen in the future'' Rain said.

" Anyway get dressed we have urgent matters to attend to, meet me in the office when you are done"

Lucas left them and decided to go to his room to take a quick shower.

After his shower, Lucas wrapped himself in a towel and went to his closet and took out his uniform which consists of a personalised white shirt with gold cufflink carved with his initials, a black blazer with gold buttons and shoulder straps with four stars embroidered with golden threads, black pants and black leather boots.

By the time he finished getting dressed and went back to the office, Scott,Rain and Warren were already there waiting for him.

"The twins are missing Luke" Scott pointed out.

" Yes i know, they have accompanied GD (General Dark)to the Generals meeting, it seems that they left last night. As per my last conversation he wants us to stay here"

" But Luke its not his habit to leave without us something is not right i don't like this" Rain said

" Yes i know ,am sure he must have his reasons and you all know him ,whatever he does there is i

a meaning to it. Meanwhile in his absence it is our duty to protect this Country whoever tries to harm the General in any way will meet death ".

The Generals meeting was a meeting where the Generals of the world meet to make decisions for the benefit of countries. During these meetings Generals must be very careful not to disclose any information that may show their weakness orelse wars might arise among countries.

Like his subordinates Lucas felt that something was wrong ,he did not know what GD was thinking to leave without them meant but he had the feeling that they will soon find out. For now only god knows what the future behold, he only hoped that there will not be any disaster.
