Fighting Evolvers

Black reached in under the workbench, pressed a button and the side of the workbench protruded out, showing a safe. Opening the safe and reaching in, Black pulled out a long barreled revolver. Laying the revolver on the workbench, Black reached into the safe, pulling out a small, compact combat knife, after which, he closed the safe and closed the side panel.

After closing the side panel, Black did a quick inspection of the revolver, pressing the cylinder latch, pushing out the cylinder, he checked the charge of the energy core. After he confirmed the charge of the energy core, Black took aim to see if the iron sights were maybe damaged or bent.

Finishing his inspection of the revolver and placing it back on the workbench, Black took the combat knife and ran his finger across the edge, after which, he pressed a small button at the edge of the handle and front bolster. After the button was pressed, the edge of the blade started glowing a deep red.(A/N: think heat sword from warframe.)

*Suit prepared, ready for use.*

As the voice sounded, the left side wall split, revealing a pod, in which was a pure black combat nano suit.

"Thank you Jane. What's the progress on the serum?"

"7% complete, 22 hours and 32 minutes remaining."

Spending the next two hours, running simulation or drawing up new blueprints.

*Evolver has entered perimeter.*

Slowly looking up from the components on the bench, a cruel smile appeared on Black's face.

'Looks like I can have some fun today.'

Turning his head to look at the combat suit, Black started removing all articles of closing, save for his underwear. Walking, half naked, towards the combat suit, Black did a few shoulder and arm stretches.

Standing before the combat suit, Black, for a moment simply admired his handiwork.

*Evolver has entered perimeter.*

'Two? Today must be my birthday.'

Placing his hand against the suit, the suit started melting onto Black's body.(A/N: Like iron man's suit in infinity wars.)

"Initiate subroutine Evolver."

*Evolver subroutine intiated.*

'Now as long as they're not 2 star evolvers I'll be fine.'

With the suit on, Black walked towards the workbench, picked up the revolver and combat knife and placed them against his right leg where the suit made a holster and sheath.

"Jane, what's the e.t.a on the evolvers?"

*Expected time of arrival : 2 minutes.*

Nodding his head, Black turned towards the door and proceeded to exit the room, entering the store.

After a minute of waiting, the door to the store opened. Staring at the two Evolvers that entered, surprise flashed through Black's eyes.

"So, they truly went all out. Sending Crimson Spider and Black Widow to deal with me, seems somewhat excessive, no?"

Startled by the voice, Crimson Spider and Black widow became fully alert.

"My apologies."

Stepping out from the shadows, Black made his appearance.

"Now, are you here to kill me, or to retrieve something that doesn't even belong them?"

Noting that the two evolvers did not make a move nor attempt to negotiate, Black became somewhat speechless, not knowing that the two evolvers were far too cautious to make a move.

"Oh, you were sent by different parties. Doesn't make a difference, if you move against me, you will die."

As Black continued to speak, The Crimson Spider and Black Widow, looked at each other then nodded and attacked Black.

Seeing the two evolvers attacking, Black pulled out the revolver, took aim at Black Widow and fired. With a loud bang, a bolt of energy shot out the barrel heading straight for her after which he threw it into his left hand and took out the combat knife with his right. Dodging to side, she felt a sudden wave of heat coming from her left. Turning her head, all she could see was a glowing red edge speeding towards her. Because she noticed the attack too late, Black Widow was forced to take the blow, leaving behind a small but deep gash and the stench of burning flesh.

While attacking Black Widow, Black never took his eyes off of Crimson Spider. After taking aim at Crimson Spider, Black didn't shoot, he just kept the iron sight trained on Crimson Spider.

Realizing their tactic did not work, Crimson Spider and Black Widow created a distance of a few feet between them and Black.

"Brother, I think we should leave."

"We can't, do you know what Mr. Smith will do to us, his family has been after the serum for over a hundred years. If we fail, he will kill us."

'Smith?'

Confused by the conversations contents, Black didn't notice that they had stopped talking.

Noticing that Black's guard was down, Crimson Spider and Black widow attacked.

Caught off guard by the attack, Black reacted as fast as he could, but only managed to block on of the attacks sent his way. After the other attack hit him, Black used the force produced to retreat. While Black slid back, he quickly took aim with the revolver and fired at Black Widow.

Because of the previous time Black attacked, Black Widow, dodged the energy bolt and Crimson Spider quickly came to her side, but what happened next, neither could predict.

Black suddenly attacked Crimson Spider, stabbing the combat just below Crimson Spider's diaphragm.

Feeling the searing pain, Crimson Spider nearly passed out and seeing her brother in his current shape, Black Widow quickly grabbed him and bolted out of the store.

After Crimson Spider and Black Widow escaped, Black went back to his secret room.

Walking to the pod, Black pressed his hand against the frame and the suit melted off of him.

After the suit was back on the frame, the pod closed followed by the wall.

"Jane, prepare a vial of bone mending serum."

On the workbench stood an old med-station that suddenly sprang to life.

Crouching down next to the workbench, Black laid his right arm, bent at an askew angle just below the elbow, and set the bone in place.

*Bone mending serum prepared*

Reaching for the med-station, Black took the serum with his left hand, brought it to his mouth, and nearly threw the vial down his throat alongside the serum.

Letting out a soft grunt, Black's face showed agonizing pain.
