5 Chakra

Chakra is like a bubbly warm feeling in the gut; It is never there if you don't focus on it, almost like background sounds one's mind filters in day-to-day life, but the moment you focus on it, it explodes forth and consumes your senses.

That is how it felt, almost like a new world had opened up to me, warm currents of energy rested calmly in the core of my body while strands of it gently moved around, I thought in exasperation, 'How could I have missed this?!'

Indeed, this had been here always and I had not felt it? Perhaps it was so overwhelming for a reason?

I thought about it for a moment and came up with an explanation that made sense to me. 'It must be because I never had something like this in my life before so now that there is something extra, it feels exaggerated for me...'

I was not wrong, after all, as normal humans on earth, we don't deal with supernatural energies so when exposed to it, it is expected we sense it very clearly. Almost like a bright dot in a dark space, it stands out.

What baffled me was how I had not felt this before but then again, I never tried so maybe it had been inactive or blocked after the previous person had died and just now activated.

I didn't care that much, what I cared about was the present and now that I felt my chakra, I was tempted to see if I was a sensor.

I tried to extend my senses outwards, and there it was, a strange buzzing and cool feeling around me, it was like background noise, 'Is this natural Chakra? I better not play with it...' I realized I probably had a great gift for sage art perhaps but now was not the time.

I extended my senses even more and felt some sort of limit after a while, I could only feel my own chakra and the natural chakra around me.

I opened my eyes and thought a little, in the end concluding that my senses did not reach more than 50 meters.

I was not disappointed.

I gathered some leaves and tried the leaf exercise, the energy within me was hard to consciously control. It felt almost like trying to catch water with your hands, it always slipped away.

After some time, I managed to make one leaf get stuck to my right hand, which was the limit of my chakra control. When the chakra was constantly moved near some part of me and held there, that part got sticky.

So spider man for the win?

Unfortunately, my chakra control was not good at all.

Feeling more confident after figuring out some stuff, I decided to end the day there and go eat something.

I won't go into more details to not bore you, life was very boring aside from training, which got boring as well at some point but I had to do it.

I trained every day, didn't interact with many people, I ran into Sasuke a few times but he just ignored me which actually made me glad because I didn't want to get dragged to the whole drama of the future.

Naturally, as I walked past him one time, my hand brushed past his hair to collect the DNA sample but that was it. It sped up the changes happening in my DNA a little, that was it.

I searched the compound in my free time, to see if I could find stray hairs around, I found a few and that helped but just a little.

So 3 weeks passed like that. Nothing interesting happened and I didn't return to the academy either. Life was peaceful. During this time, I completely regained whatever skill this person had before dying plus some small improvements. My body also became a bit stronger.

I stood in a clearing, preparing to do my last training before going to the academy. Today was the day, my training would not end but life was going to get rowdier.

I closed my eyes and calmed my nerves then slowly gripped hold of the sharp weapons in my hands. I opened my eyes, Kunai and Shuriken flew towards the various targets I had put on the trees nearby.

Before they hit the targets, I had already jumped and my hands held a new batch of weapons to throw mid-air. My fingers moved very fast, as everything I threw hit the targets dead center. I was not at the level of someone like Itachi Uchiha while he trained but I could aim perfectly well, even while moving.

Most of this skill was me relearning things though. The improvement was me using Chakra control in a new way I discovered.

What does define the deadliness of throwing weapons? Their shape/sharpness which I had no control over and the force they were thrown with, putting aside the accuracy of course.

My body was stronger than the adult me of Earth already, much stronger, in fact, I could easily do 100 push-ups on one hand; And coating my hand in Chakra, a trick I tried and worked surprisingly, I could punch hard enough to crack the trunk of a tree and leave a fist mark on it without hurting my hand.

This meant whatever I threw had a lot of force but I was not satisfied, I thought why shouldn't I try to make it stronger?

And then the Idea came... Since I could make things stick to my body like leaves, why not use it to increase the force behind something I threw.

The tip of my right hand's index finger touched the end of a Kunai, my Chakra focused there and I felt the familiar sensation of when leaves stuck to my skin. I slowly moved my finger up and the Kunai followed, it looked like an extension of my finger.

I smirked and mimicked a swordsman and played a little with it, it was stuck very well. I focused my chakra on my body trying to make myself stronger, it made me stronger but not that much. I then brought my right hand to the left side of my body and leaned a little and threw with all the force my mid-section, shoulders, and hand muscles could muster. The finger muscles were used to direct the throw.

The momentum focused on the Kunai, the moment it reached the right time, I cut off the chakra flow. The Kunai left my finger and moved so fast I could hardly see, It loudly hit the target, a little to its left. The force was strong enough to cause the tree to shake and make some leaves fall.

I quickly ran to see the result, I cursed inwardly, 'Damn it, a few centimeters to the left...' I was not pleased but it couldn't be helped. The other Kunais I had thrown casually were halfway in the trunk of the trees, this one had almost vanished since it had penetrated the trunk completely.

'If I want to just wave my hands and throw 10 kunai with the same force, I have to train more...' I thought. I knew that this type of weapon would be obsolete in the future but I was not willing to just let my training be counted as waste, I firmly believed that if enough force was put into it, even Kunai could kill a Kage. Heck, a needle at the speed of light could ruin a planet and with where this world was going... It wasn't a bad idea to at least try...

I let out a sigh and put my feet on the trunk, chakra moved and I easily walked on the tree. I could already do tree walking, the 2nd practice of Chakra control. It was easy to master, actually.

The more I trained with leaves, the better my control got and after the 1st week, I tried and managed to walk three steps on a tree, then eventually I mastered it. As for water walking, I didn't try it yet.

A few minutes later I left the training ground, jumping from trees to trees proficiently, like a true ninja. If I had to give myself a ranking, I would put myself at mid to high Genin. The previous owner of the body must have been at this level as well.

I set out of the Uchiha compound, heading for the academy early morning. My Sharingan was 4 days away, I couldn't wait to go around and copy Jutsu left and right. I had already bought a pair of very dark sunglasses for the task.
