41 CHAPTER 38 THE TEACHER ll

The angel was also the same; the elf teacher even focused on his face compared to most of his body; the only one that was a little bit okay compared to the three of them was the triclops, but even he was unable to stand.

"Now for your individual assessment, I am going to start with you, Sophia. You have the least improvement. I understand that your race will only get stronger as your foundation grows stronger, but with the current rate of improvement that you have, you are going to be left behind by your peers in the academy. If you do not change soon, you will only drag your teammates back." The angel cannot help but turn pale after hearing her words.

"Next is you, Aranold. As your teacher, I am gratified to see that you have returned to your former enthusiasm in your training. Keep your current improvement, and it will not be long for you to catch up to your tribesmen." Aranold raises his head proudly, and he finally hears a compliment from their teacher after all of this time.

"Blake, you are still improving at a constant rate. I am glad that this is the case, but if you want to challenge those from the higher ranking, you need to push yourself harder. My advice is to keep challenging Cleo." The triclops was surprised by the advice.

"Finally, the person that had improved the most amongst you four, Cleo, is you. You are different from the rest of them; you need to slow down; you are growing stronger than your martial art can keep up; in fact, you rely too much on your special abilities; even your swordsmanship is subpar compared to the past."

"I suggest that you spar with your teammates more; Blake has the greatest accomplishment in terms of martial arts among all of you; he is the best partner for you."

Leon believes her; he also feels that he is incapable of tapping into his true strength; he realises what it is, but he does not know how to fully capitalise on his entire strength.

He sighs inwardly. His former world might be filled with conflict, but in most parts, it was pretty tame. His entire life is considered normal, without any major conflict; only after the death of his grandfather did he experience such trouble.

"I understand, teacher." He speaks as he stands up, stretching his muscles, surprising the rest with his incredibly fast recovery.

"I will give all of you two minutes to rest; I will then evaluate your current progress in your body or mind tempering technique," she sternly says as she sits there and waits.

Leon approaches his friend and sits with a pained expression. "Was she always this violent?"

Even though he asks in a quiet voice, the elf teacher can actually hear them; she is already informed about her students' condition, and his amnesia comes as no surprise to her.

"No, it seems that our progress has lit a fire within her." Aranold does not say anything, as he knows that even with such distance and no matter how quiet his voice is, their teacher can still hear them, so he only writes on a piece of paper and gives it to his friend.

Their group rested for two minutes. They then showcased each of their body or mind-tempering techniques; she only needed to touch them to scan their entire body.

Leon once again marvels at how efficient psychic energy truly is. He sighs inwardly, thinking that he should try to learn any mind-tempering technique to enhance his psychic energy.

"Sophia, your level is too low! I suggest that you train at Howling Cave in order to increase your progress!" She coldly states, causing the triclops and Aranold to take in a deep breath.

"Hey, do you know what the howling cave is?" Seeing their reaction, he becomes interested. Knowing that his friend is unaware, Aranold is about to explain when the elf teacher cuts him.

"The Howling Cave is a special location inside the academy where there are multiple levels students need to pass to increase their soul power; staying inside will cause the students and teachers to experience soul-ripping pain and a multitude of psychic attacks; it is considered one of the most extreme training grounds in the academy."

He has a look of realisation; he finally understood why the three reacted that way, but this confuses him once again. If that place is truly dangerous, why did he not hear about it after strolling around the academy grounds with Aranold?

"Blake, your volcano burst is still at the same level as my last evaluation; I am disappointed. Your race is born with great physical traits compared to many lower rank races, but this will only take you so far; other than sparring with Cleo, I want you to focus on breaking through!"

Blake bows his head. Actually, he knows that he is lacking in this department, but he cannot change the fact that their race has never been good at practicing their own technique.

"Aranold, your situation is different; it seems that you have awakened something special; you are improving at a constant rate without doing anything. As long as you do not return to your earlier lascivious behaviour, you will do just fine, but if you want to be recognised, I suggest that you push yourself to work harder." Aranold looks at his friend; the weight of gratitude within them is extremely heavy; he knows that it is his friend that has changed him.

"For you, Cleo, you are very strange; you have reached a state that not many of those that practice the same technique as you have reached and yet you are only at the first level. I do not have a suggestion for you as the path that you are walking is unique, but according to my intuition, as long as you continue on this path and do not stumble, you might reach the same height as those of the top ranks."
