8 Chapter 8- Explaining things

Taking the shower, Arc kept thinking about the things he experienced on Tetra planet. He could not shake the feeling of tingling and danger that he had gone through.

Arc has always fantasized himself as the hero in his dreams but this life he just faced before was too tough and horrifying. He could not stand the dangerous feeling all around him until he got that beast's soul armor which gave given a slight feeling of safety.

This warm bath was giving him relief from tired feeling.

After washing up and changing clothes, Arc came to his room and lay on the bed thinking about what should he do. Should he even consider the life on another plant Tetre at all, he knows that Tatar planet is a ticket to quick money even though it might pose a danger to his life.

With these thoughts, he was immersed in the world of fantasies, where he was selling many beast souls and earning a lot of money.

At that moment, a voice echoed saying, "Arc, are you already home? Don't you understand how many times I have told you to put your shoes in the correct place?"

This voice was like a trigger button for Arc because hearing this voice, he quickly stood up and first cleaned up the mess in his room before correcting his clothes and running toward outside of his room while saying, "I am coming, no worries. I will do it, sorry, I forgot to do so."

Shouting this from the room, Arc came out to witness that his mother was sitting in a chair in the dining area while Reku was bringing her a glass of water.

"Mom, how was your day at work?" Arc Asked this question while correcting his shoe position and place.

"Nothing much, it was just like every other day. But with a little more work." Mother said.

"And, what did you do during this whole day? Have you found something to be occupied with? If you are okay then I can find a little job for you." Mother asked.

"I would love to work on the Job you would find me but I already got one. I went to the City today, and there I met someone at the railway station who was looking odd for some reason. We got into a conversation and he was impressed by my thoughts on the science. Then he gave me a job with some money in advance while taking my number." Arc said while being a little nervous because he knows that there are many flaws in his said part but he could not find any other reason to explain the money and especially if he gave some pale reason like winning the lottery then he would have to find more reason for more money he would have earned, which would have been much more suspicious.

"Oh! Okay, I don't even know how to react to you saying this. Do you know what this job you got yourself into requires you to do?" Mother asked while signaling the Arc to sit near.

"Mom, Your water." Reko brought the water to Mother just then.

Mother grabbed that drinking it slowly. 

Arc came to sit on the sofa in front of her.

"Mom, it is about developing a new kind of technology and working on it, I think I will just be contributing to the department of developing the theories behind the technology by relying on the scientific data and terms." Arc just spouted every nonsensical thing coming to his mind which sounded like it made sense.

His mom was very trusting of him so after making some thoughts on what Arc said, she still believed in him even though she can realize that something wasn't sitting well in what Arc told her.

"So, when is your work starting, what is the location of work, and what is the payment for your work? Most importantly, are there any bonuses or perks attached to the job?" Mother asked to prob for more information.

"Mom, I will receive a call from them about the work location and other details but payment is based on the result of the project we will contribute to. As for perks or bonuses, as I am starting from the low status of the job in that department, so there wouldn't be none at the start but there will be if I rise in position and ranks of jobs." Arc tried explaining more details while concealing most of the information about it by call part.

"Okay, We will talk about it once more when you get the details but until then don't use their given advance payment because you might have to return if I find that your job is risky from some aspect. Now, you sit and play with your sister, then I will make dinner for you guys. So, tell me what do you guys want to eat." Mom said.

Arc didn't want his mom to work at home today as she was late from work and tired, so, he quickly grabbed his old phone from his pocket and ordered food online for all of them to use after pay and this food included favourites of everyone.

"No need for cooking, Mom. I have already ordered the food online. And, it's a party from my side as I have gotten the job." Arc quickly stopped Mom while showing his phone where the online food ordering application was opened.

"You have just gotten a job and received a little money, but you are already using it on such wasteful things. Is that what I have taught you? You should spend money more rationally." Mom said in a little harsh tone.

"Okay, okay, Momm! I would keep that in mind but we should at least celebrate this occasion a little, because it is my very first job. And it's not that expensive because I had a discount offer on the Application." Arc said and well his last added discount part was a lie.

*Sigh*

"Okay, but only this time." Mom knew that the order had already been placed, so, nothing could be done now and Arc was right that it was a big turn in life for Arc.
