1 Inning 1

Two baseball teams lined up and waited for the referee to start the game. One group was composed entirely of boys, while the other was composed wholly of girls. The referee blew his whistle and said,2 "Ok, listen up. Girls Team, you're first at-bat. The Boys Team, you're first in the field. According to your rosters, Raven is The Girls' Team leader, and Joseph is The Boys' Team leader. Good luck." The Girls' Team dressed in orange uniforms with their mascot on their caps and shirts. The Boys' Team got dressed in green uniforms with their mascot on their hats and shirts. Joseph said, "Jacob, you're the pitcher; Tyree, you're the umpire; Alex will be on first base; David, you're on second base; Chase, you're on third base; Thomas, you're in the left field; Harold, you're in the center field; And Matthew, you're in the right field."

The Boys' Team then ran into the field, and Raven called her batters up individually. Raven said, "Ruby, you're the first batter." Ruby grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Jacob then pitched the ball, and Ruby hit it to left field. Thomas ran for the ball, but it hit the ground before he could catch it. Ruby then ran to first base, and Thomas tried to get her out by throwing the ball at Alex, but he didn't grab it, and Ruby made it to first base. Alex threw the ball to Jacob while Ruby stayed on first, but Jacob didn't catch the ball either. Joseph touched his face because nobody got the ball that round. Jacob then picked the ball up and got ready for the next batter. Raven said, "Evelyn, you're next."

Evelyn grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Jacob then pitched the ball, and Evelyn hit it to left field. Thomas ran for the ball, jumped, and then caught the ball. The referee said, "You're out." Evelyn went back to their bench and sat down with her Team. Raven said, "Carolyn, you're next." Carolyn grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Jacob pitched the ball, and Carolyn hit it to right field. Matt ran for the ball, but he didn't catch it. Then Ruby ran to second, and Carolyn ran to first. Once Matt had the ball, he tried to get Ruby out by throwing it to Chase on third. Ruby wanted to make it to third, while Carolyn tried to make it to second. Ruby made it to third base before Chase caught the ball and ran to home base. Chase then missed the catch and picked the ball up. Joseph shouted, "Forget Carolyn in the field; get Ruby before she gets to home base and scores!" Ruby was halfway to home base when Chase threw the ball to Tyree, but Ruby scored before Tyree caught it. The referee said, "Safe." Tyree threw the ball back to Chase, but Chase missed the catch, and Carolyn made it to third base. Before Carolyn ran to home base, Chase threw the ball back to Jacob, and Jacob caught it. Raven said, "Meena, you're up."

Meena grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Jacob then pitched the ball, and Meena hit it to third base. Chase tried catching the ball, but he missed. Then Meena ran to first base, and Chase attempted to get her out by throwing Alex the ball, but Alex missed the catch, and Meena stayed on first. Raven said, "Angelica, you're up." Angelica grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Jacob pitched the ball, and Angelica hit it to Center Field. Once she did, Harold caught the ball and got Angelica out. The referee said, "You're out."

Joseph said, "Ok, two outs. We need one more, and we're up." Raven said, "But we have two players on the bases in the field. Good luck getting either of them out. I'll step up." Raven grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Jacob pitched the ball, and Raven hit the ball high. The referee looked at how high the ball was going and said, "Fly ball!" When the ball came down, it landed in the right field, and Raven ran for first base while Meena ran for second base. Matthew picked the ball up and threw it to David on second, but he missed. Then Raven ran to second base, Meena to third base, and Carolyn to home base. David picked the ball up and tried to get Carolyn out before she scored. David threw Tyree the ball, but he missed. Carolyn almost made it to home base, but Tyree threw Chase the ball, and he missed. Then Carolyn scored their second point, Meena made it to third base and ran for home base, and Raven made it to second base and headed to third base. Chase threw the ball back to Tyree, hoping to get Meena out before she hit home base. Tyree then caught the ball and got Meena out before she made it to home base. The referee said, "You're out. Now The Boys Team is up." Raven said, "Evelyn, you're the pitcher; Angelica, you're the umpire; Karly, you're on first; Jade, you're on second; Amie, you're on third; Ruby, you're in the left field; Meena, you're in the center field; And I'll play in the right field."

The Girls' Team then ran into the field, and Joseph called his batters up to the plate by one. Joseph said, "Tyree, you're up. Tyree grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Evelyn pitched the ball, and when Tyree swung, he missed, but Angelica didn't catch the ball. The referee said, "Strike 1." Angelica threw Evelyn the ball, and she caught it. Evelyn pitched the ball, and Tyree hit it to first base, but Karly caught it and got Tyree out. The referee said, "You're out." Joseph said, "I'll step up." Karly threw Evelyn the ball, and she caught it. Then Evelyn pitched the ball, and Joseph hit it to center field. Meena tried catching the ball, but Joseph ran for first and made it. However, Meena didn't catch the ball. Joseph tried running for second base, but Meena threw the ball to Jade on second. Jade missed, and Joseph stayed on second. Joseph shouted, "Daniel, you're up." Daniel grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Evelyn pitched the ball, and Daniel hit it back to Evelyn, who caught it and got Daniel out. The referee said, "You're out." Joseph shouted, "Chase, you're up, and we need a hit." Raven shouted, "Yeah, a hit to me to get himself out." Chase grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Chase shouted, "We'll see who gets out or not." Evelyn pitched the ball, and Chase returned it to Evelyn, but she didn't catch it. Then Chase ran for first base, and Evelyn threw the ball to Karly on first. Chase made it to first and ran for second, but Karly caught the ball and threw it to Jade on second. While Chase ran for second base, Joseph ran for third base. Chase made it to second base and ran for third base, while Joseph ran for home base. So they wouldn't score, Jade threw the ball to Angelica, hoping to get Joseph out, but she missed. Then Joseph scored for his team, and Jade threw the ball to Amie on third base, but she didn't catch it. Chase made it and stayed on third. Joseph shouted, "We're on the board!" Raven threw her hat to the ground because she was mad that they scored." Joseph said, "Alex, you're up." Evelyn threw Alex a fastball, and it flew by him, and Angelica caught it. The referee said, "Strike 1!" Angelica threw Evelyn the ball, and she grabbed it. Then Evelyn pitched the ball, and Alex hit it high. The referee said, "Fly ball!" Alex ran for first base, and when the fly ball landed, it headed towards Karly on first. Karly tried to catch it, but she missed, and Alex made it to first base. Then he stayed there, and Joseph called his next batter up. Joseph said, "Thomas, you're up." Thomas grabbed a bat, and Evelyn pitched the ball. Then the ball flew by him, and Angelica missed it. The referee said, "Ball 1." Angelica threw the ball back to Evelyn, and she caught it.

Then Evelyn pitched the ball, and Thomas hit it past the right foul line. The referee said, "Foul! Strike 2." Karly went and got the ball. Then she threw it back to Evelyn, but she missed. Evelyn then picked up the ball and pitched it. Thomas swung, but he missed, and so did Angelica. The referee said, "Strike 3. You're out. Time for Inning #2 and for both teams to switch places." Joseph said, "Joe, you're the pitcher; Thomas, you're the umpire; Alex, you're on first; David, you're on second; Daniel, you're on third; Chris, you're in the left field; Chase, you're in the center field; And I'll play in the right field."
