16 Puff Daddy House Got Raided?

(Andre Anderson POV)

Andre was exhausted from his dad and his behavior... There was no justification or evidence required to support this sentiment. It was mostly because his dad was incredibly embarrassing and irritating. Everything he did was overly cringe.

Even after retiring, his dad insisted on being called Polarity, a name that only served to stroke his ego and remind the masses and his peers of his past glory as a superhero. A superhero who achieved great fame and recognition, for sure, yet fell just short of joining the esteemed Seven – which became the source of his greatest career disappointment.

Well, Life disappointment since his life centered around Vought.

The Seven consumed his dad's every thought, and he pinned all his aspirations and desires on Andre... There was a significant amount of pressure, to say the least.

Like most Vought handlers, Andre's father venerated, almost worshiped the Seven for the significant social status and influence they represented, and everything of importance that came with it. Naturally, he would never allow Andre to pass up an opportunity to be in proximity to this group, irrespective of its actual usefulness or practical feasibility.

Today marked the highly anticipated unveiling of the newest addition to the Seven, following the unexpected departure of Lamplighter. Andre was at the event. Thanks to his father, he wouldn't just have to observe from the outside and could enter later.

'This just ain't fair to me... Why does my life have to be this way? I don't get why I have to be stuck here with this awkward guy when I could be out on campus, having a great time, impressing cute girls, and falling in love like other kids my age.'

As Andre made his way with his father towards the extravagant red carpet outside the building, he couldn't help but feel frustrated and unsatisfied with his life. He just couldn't get his thoughts to stay on track.

He and his father were there to witness the arrival of the newest member of the Seven, who was stepping out of a sleek white limousine.

Andre wished he could be on campus at this moment instead, in order to spend as much time away from his father as possible and, if possible, meet some girls… You know why – To relieve the stress of his life.

While he was in the company of his father, his ability to do as he pleased was limited. What's more, his father was a member of the college faculty as well, so he knew he would have to encounter him there often eventually... However, for now, he desired to enjoy as much freedom as possible. This was supposed to be the week when he could finally relax and do whatever he wanted, without that guy dictating his every move and tampering with, controlling his life.

"I heard she's planning to go by Starlight, son... Oh, look, when you casually mention things, they're letting out the nickname on the building." Polarity pointed out to Andre, "A hologram? They really went all out with the attention to detail!"

The man was quite taken aback by the extravagant display put on by Vought for Starlight.

He kept using the name Polarity so much that even his son started to associate him with that name deep down, after all those years. When it came to his father, Andre could only think of him as either dad or Polarity, nothing else.

"Starlight! Starlight! Look here!"

"Wow, you look absolutely gorgeous, Starlight! What is your special ability? Could you please demonstrate it for us?"

"Who is the older woman next to her? Should that be her mother? Someone look into who her mother is; maybe we can find out her government name early!"

Starlight was a young woman. A nice-looking one, Andre had to admit. As she stepped out of the chauffeur-driven limousine and began walking on the red carpet next to an older woman, the paparazzi lights started flashing – the crowd of fans gathered on either side of the vibrant red carpet, eagerly snapping photos and cheering nervously with bated breath. They seemed anxious, as if they might never get another opportunity to see her. It was quite the impressive debut.

"You see that, Andre? You'll be strolling around here with the same level of excitement from fans for you in a few years!" Polarity spoke with a beaming smile, brimming with ambition and hope for his son's bright future.

He typically wasn't this loud, he was only this enthused when it came to the Seven.

"... Okay, dad." Andre replied with a rather unenthusiastic and low-energy tone.

He was normal and had this big dream of becoming famous, rich, and strong, sure, but when his father got involved and started hyping it up, the whole thing lost its appeal. His father served as the captain and helmsman of the ship, which made the experience quite unpleasant. It was kind of the obnoxious nuisance.

Still, Andre was intelligent enough to avoid jeopardizing his future, despite the overwhelming annoyance he experienced during his teenage years. Now, dealing with all this was relatively easy. It just felt a bit cringe.

'Are they that new couple from school? Oh, yeah, it looks like it's them... How nice – And I'm here with my dad instead. How is life fair?'

Andre was suddenly feeling a bit envious and down on himself. All of a sudden, he spots a couple of gorgeous blondes, a guy and a girl around his age, looking like they could be college students.

He was always on social media, following people left and right. So when he spotted the two figures in the crowd on the other side of the metal barriers and stanchions, across from the red carpet, it only took him a few seconds to instantly figure out who they were.

'Hmmm… Archie and Cate, was it? Should I just casually slip away from my dad's line of sight and go up and say hi when he goes inside? Looks like they're going to be running the cool freshman crowd, so I better stick close if I want my college experience to be awesome. This could be my one chance.'

Andre was well aware that his dad was going to make him face the consequences for skipping out on the event and doing his own thing instead of sticking around with him. However, he couldn't shake the feeling that it was somehow meant to be that he crossed paths with those two cool kids here.

With that thought lingering in his mind, Andre made a decision. As Starlight walked into the building and his dad Polarity entered with other important people he was politely talking to, Andre quietly slipped away.

(End of Andre POV)

Archie also wanted to check out the inside like those important people from Vought, but he decided not to be too careless since he had a promising future ahead. Even though he now had the ability to become completely invisible and untraceable, surpassing even Translucent, he had not let it go to his head and become conceited or foolish. He hadn't forgotten who he was and the kind of good life he wanted to live in this world. There was no need to take risks and be reckless just for one Starlight.

It was true that she was probably going to suck some fish dick tonight, but it had nothing to do with him because she was not his friend, his woman or his wife. She accepted some hazy offer to stick around better in the limelight and soak up all the attention, and this particular experience turned out to be quite educational for her, as she got scammed by the Deep.

Archie wasn't a cuck, but he also wasn't some knight in shining armor who couldn't handle the fact that women might have had a wild streak before he came along. If he just wanted to marry lovely virgins, he could simply go to the Middle East and marry a hundred young spouses or something. But he was not that bored. If he was really that bored, he'd just off all the guys his future partners had been with, unless they were virgins - which didn't make much sense, except on some websites he used to browse while reading in his past life.

There were some authors on there who really messed with the personalities of other male characters, making sure they meet their demise later on, just like those young masters in Chinese cultivation novels.

"Are we finished here? So we came all the way here just for that?" Archie said, sounding pretty bored.

Starlight's red carpet strut was over in just a few seconds.

(AN: I'll make sure Starlight doesn't suck fishman dick in this world, but this chapter was sort of a statement from me. If I'm not the author you require, you know what to do, lol. Some issues must be addressed as soon as possible. I also despise characters who deserve to be despised, but I'm not the type of author who transforms a stand-up guy like Smoker into a young master in One Piece just so my main character can get with Hina and such. Things simply need to make sense. Asuma from Naruto is another example of such hilarious Chinese tropes. You know what I mean. I don't change men's personalities into Chinese ones. These are just two examples among many. Sorry for not reaching 2k BTW, but writing more wasn't helpful.)
