Episode 1

The episode shows a shadow figure with multiple arms, two antennas, and wings.

"You won't be lonely anymore", said Yuta.

"Who are you?" Mana asked

"I haven't seen a yokai like her", said Kitaro.

The screen shows Kitaro and the other yokai.

"There are things in this world you can't see ", said Kitaro, then turns his head. "see in the darkness behind you".

The 2018 Gegege no kitaro opening plays.

The screen shows Kitaro, Cat-san, and Daddy eyeball in the treehouse.

Kitaro is drinking tea.

Daddy eyeball is having a bath.

Cat-San is reading.

The treehouse shakes.

"What was that?" Daddy eyeball asked, while he wipes his eyes with a towel.

Cat-San, Daddy eyeball, and Kitaro head outside and sees a purple flower with orange spots, this flower is closed up.

Kitaro: It seems like a rose bud, but it seems to have a strange presence inside, you recognize it Dad

"No", said Daddy Eyeball.

Cat-San jumps off the treehouse and lands by the treehouse.

Kitaro jumps as well with Daddy eyeball.

Kitaro touches the flower.

The flower opens up.

A ball of purple energy flies away.

"It didn't reveal it's true form, I'm going to figure out which way it's going", said Cat-San.

Cat-San chases after it.

"Kitaro, let's research that flower to figure out what kind of yokai we are dealing with", said Daddy eyeball.

"Got it, dad", said Kitaro.

Kitaro runs off.

The ball of energy escapes the forest.

"Wait, it's heading to the human world", said Cat-san, while running.

The screen shows Yuta swinging on the swings with a smile on his face, when he feels a strong gust of wind.

"That's weird, there's not a cloud in the sky", said Yuta.

A shadow with two antennas is shown behind a building.

Yuta continues swinging on the swings.

The screen switches to Mana walking, when Cat-San appears.

"Cat-San?" Mana replied.

"Mana, no time to chat", said Cat-san, then runs off.

"Where are you going?" Mana asks Cat-san, then runs after Cat-San.

The screen shows Yuta walking on his own.

Footsteps are heard behind him.

Yuta turns around, but didn't see anything.

"Anybody there?" Yuta asked.

Yuta looks around, but doesn't see anybody.

"If you're friendly, please come out", said Yuta.

"Do you like Yokai?" A mysterious voice said.

"Yeah", Yuta smiles.

"Okay", said the mysterious voice.

Behind the pillar, two feet are shown.

Yuta's eyes widened.

The screen shows Daddy Eyeball and Kitaro searching through books.

"It was a Flare egg", said Daddy eyeball, looking at a book.

"And according to this, when the egg is open the spirit will go to the human world", said Kitaro, while looking at a book.

"And the spirit is actually completely harmless as long as you don't become selfish, inhuman, or greedy", said Daddy eyeball.

"But, in the human world, it's unpredictable who the spirit could met up with", Kitaro realized.

"We need to bring the spirit back before something bad happens", said Daddy eyeball.

"Right, dad", said Kitaro.

The screen switches to Mana and Cat-San running together.

"What does this yokai look like?" Mana asks Cat-San.

"a ball of energy", Cat-San replied.

"Hmm… so, what kind of yokai is it?" Mana wondered.

"Kitaro is finding that out right now", Cat-san answered.

"So, what if the yokai is actually friendly?" Mama questioned.

"Even if it is, it could accidentally cause trouble, and that's too risky", said Cat-San.

The screen shows Yuta walking.

"So, you don't have any memories from before", said Yuta.

A shadow of a person with two antennas, six arms, and Angel wings.

"No, all I know is I love hanging out with humans", said the voice.

"So, do you have any likes? Dislikes? What can you do? What's your name, you never told me", said Yuta.

"Kanisha Pollenwhite", said the person.

"I'm Yuta", said Yuta.

"Pleasure", said Kanisha, as she shakes Yuta's hand.

"So, what do you want to do?" Yuta wondered.

"I'm in the mood for something sweet", said Kanisha.

"Great, there's an ice cream shop, not far from here", Yuta pointed out.

"Hooray, I wonder what new flavors", said Kanisha, then lick her lips. " they have now".

"Well, follow me", said Yuta.

Kanisha and Yuta run together.

The screen shows Kitaro on roll-San.

"We have to find them", said Kitaro, then his hair goes up. "there".

They fly off.

The screen shows Kanisha eating strawberry/vanilla/chocolate ice cream, while Yuta is eating vanilla ice cream; while they are standing by each other.

"There you are", said Cat-San.

"Ah!" Kanisha flies off

"Kanisha! Wait!" Yuta runs off.

"You're not getting away", said Cat-San, while running.

Kanisha flies off, then bumps into Kitaro.

"Found you", said Kitaro.

"Please leave me alone, I won't hurt anybody", Kanisha begged, while flying.

"So, you remember who I am?" Kitaro asks Kanisha.

"I still remember some stuff about yokai", said Kanisha.

"Then, you should know your emotions too unstable for you to stay here, you can't stay here", said Kitaro.

"Kanisha!" replied Yuta.

Cat-San appears.

"I know, but I can at least visit", said Kanisha, her eyes aren't shown.

"Yeah, we visit this place all the time", said Cat-San.

"Yeah",Kanisha smiles, then flies all around, and spins.

"Does this mean you have to leave now?" Yuta wondered, while looking sad.

"Don't worry, we will see each other every day", said Kanisha, as she flies down and looks at Yuta.

"Then, we can have more fun", said Yuta.

"Absolutely, but hey who says we have to stop today", said Kanisha, while flying.

Kanisha takes Yuta's hand and puts him on her back; then flies off.

"I guess we have nothing to worry about", said Daddy eyeball.

"I guess so", replied Kitaro.

Kanisha and Yuta are flying.

"woohoo!" Yuta cheered.

"Hold on!" Kanisha asks Yuta.

Kanisha flies over a river.

"Yeah!" Yuta smiles.

"I'm glad, you are having fun", Kanisha admitted.

"Yeah, you are awesome", said Yuta.

Kanisha's eyes twitch, and sees flashes of a memory.

The flashes show a city on fire with people screaming.

"Kuroda! Kuroda! Kuroda!" Kanisha called.

In the present, Kanisha lands by a bench, then puts her hands on her eyes.

"Kanisha?" Yuta called, while looking worried.

A flash is shown.

A boy shows short red hair, white skin, wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.

"I can't leave you", said Kuroda.

"You have to leave me, I have too many enemies", said Kanisha.

"But, you're the most awesome friend I have ever had", said Kuroda, while looking sad.

A magic blast heads to Kuroda.

Kanisha pushes Kuroda out of the way.

Kanisha gets blasted against the wall.

"Kanisha!" Called Kuroda.

"Foolish human, you have gotten in my way for the last time", said a mysterious voice.

"I'm not afraid of you", said Kuroda.

A blast of black energy heads towards Kuroda.

A hand stops the black energy.

Kuroda smiles to see Kanisha.

"Go kuroda", Kanisha whispers, while holding back the powers.

Purple veins are shown around Kanisha's body

"You can't keep this up forever", said The dark figure.

Kanisha's eyes glow, and a sonic wave made the dark figure fall.

Kanisha flies up in the sky, all her arms have glowing hands and start attacking the black figure, while the fire is put out.

"Kuroda! Kuroda!" A female voice called.

"Mom!" Replied Kuroda.

Kuroda runs off.

The dark figure sends a volt of electricity towards Kanisha.

Kanisha's antennas spit out acid.

The dark figure surrounds Kanisha.

Kanisha temporarily screams in pain.

A bright white light blasts the dark figure.

The screen shows the dark figure shots a blast of purple energy towards Kuroda.

Kanisha blocks the attack.

"You fool, I knew you would take the hit", said The dark figure.

"Kanisha!" Kuroda gasped.

Kanisha's body glows black, then her body part slowly changes and she becomes a seed.

"Kanisha!" Kuroda cried.

The seed disappeared.

"My work is done", said The dark figure.

"Bring back, Kanisha! Bring back, Kanisha!" Kuroda cried.

"It's over, she is gone", said Kuroda's mom.

The dark figure blasts Kuroda.

"Kuroda! No!" replied Kuroda's mom, looking horrified.

Kuroda turns into a seed as well.

The flashback ends

The screen switches to Kanisha and Yuta in present time.

"Kanisha, are you okay?" replied Yuta.

"My only human friend ", said Kanisha, with tears coming down.

"Kanisha?" Yuta called, looking worried and confused.

Kanisha flies off.

"Wait!" Yuta called.

(MThe screen shows Mana and Cat-San see a giant yellow flower with green spots.

"This is just like the flower Kanisha came out of", Cat-San recognized.

"Then, does that mean it's a friend of hers?" Mama looked surprised.

"Kuroda!" replied Kanisha, as she flies past a street.

Mana touches the flower.

A spirit comes out.

The spirit is revealed to be a boy with long blue hair, white skin, wearing a purple jumpsuit with ribbons holding it up and red shoes.

"Where's Kanisha?" The boy asked, with glowing eyes and Mana and Cat-San were thrown against a wall.

"We are friends of Kanisha's", said Mana. "Please calm down".

The boy:

"Tell me where Kanisha is", The boy asks Mana and Cat-San, while gravity presses on Mana and Cat-San.

"Stop", said Kanisha.

A shadow of Kanisha appears.

"Kanisha!" The boy smiles with tears.

Kanisha hugs the boy.

"Kuroda, I missed you", Kanisha cried.

"I missed you too", Kuroda cried.

Kanisha and Kuroda walk off.

"You want some ice cream", said Kanisha.

"Yeah", said Kuroda.

"Kanisha!" Yuta called.

"Yuta, I'll keep to my promise, see you tomorrow", said Kanisha.

"Okay, bye bye", said Yuta, while waving.

Kanisha and Kuroda walk together.

"I love you, Kuroda", said Kanisha.

"I love you too", said Kuroda.

The episode ends with them walking towards the sunset.
