They note that the machine was everywhere across the Battlefield as the machine was sending wave after wave of their own kind to the human defense.

Seeing the large combat Anemone quickly orders the androids to assist the human in the fight but considering the large scale of the combat they require every little assistance they have.

Even if put thing the thousand years of hate for the twin to the past.

They were still in disbelief at seeing a real human

They know that humanity was extinct as they were the ones that watch them personally extinct in front of their very eyes.

But their true test was in front of thousands of humans in need of help scatter all around the place, not to mention the number of humans that injures was uncountable.

They keep running, save someone and fight the machine even when their arms and legs are damaged they keep saving trying their best

Both of them.

They were given a chance to Redeem themself after thousands of years. A chance to fix the mistake they Made.

All they can do was give their all to the fight.

But both Devola and Popola know deep inside their heart there won't be a third chance.

12H thought this could be her freedom from her slave work at YoRHa.

That's why without any hesitation she flees from the YoRHa to join the human in pursuit of curiosity, she will be considered a traitor to Humanity for being abandoned, but she won't hesitate.

At first, they were surprised to see her again but when they heard her story they let her join their colony.

The human was really kind to her, They let her stay in this holy place, give her a job, and praise her for doing a good job of the work she have done.

Even if she was praised back at YoRHa she always just nods.

But the human said she have a big goofy smile across her face every time she was praised.

Even though she abandoned what she was Made for... the one she was supposed to protect in front of her.

It made her cloud her mind with Negative thoughts until she ask Commander Ken one question.

Is it fine for me to be this selfish?

That was Commander Ken Answers, leaving her stun in the hallway.

She did not accept this answer so she keeps asking this question to the other humans.

12H always thought they were at least mad at her! That's why she comes back to Commander Ken to ask this question again.

"12H..." Ken turns around to face her "Nobody going to care one or two androids gone, and I doubt Commander White going to send entire YoRHa just to hunt you down."

"But... Humanity made YoRha for the purpose of eliminating the machine! What's our purpose if we go against it then?"

"Ahhh, that's your question?" Ken nods In understanding "If you don't have a purpose then seek another purpose."

"...Another purpose?"

"For example We humans don't have any purpose other than living to see another day, but as time passes they found their purpose" Ken touches his heart "And I know Deep inside your heart- wait I mean core since you don't have any heart, you must have already had the answer no?"

That makes 12H think for a moment, another purpose other than serving YoRHa?

"I saw you having fun teaching back in the classroom, maybe you could start with that first?"

"...So it's fine for me to be this selfish?" 12H said in hope

"I'll repeat as many times you want 12H"

"I don't mind" He left before he says anything else.

Commander Ken may not notice it, but a single tear drops from her eyes trying to hold it back crying from hearing this.

"T-thank you."

She honestly never felt Soo love in her entire life since her Creator Made her, it brought such huge happiness.

She thought she could spend time living beside the human she dream of and Maybe have programming called 'love' that she only has been keeping reading in books.

Especially this soo call smut she manages to read back at the library.

Reading, working, eating ice cream, and getting things paid for her work.

It was supposed to be just that spending her time.

But reality kick her world again, as she was no longer smiling happily like before.

As the rain pours upon her and She is now carrying a human that is bleeding while running from the machine that has been following her from behind.

The worst is that not one or two, But hundred of them scatter around the street keep crying for helps, She tried her best to do anything to at least save one human but There were too many need to be saved.

"12H... Leave me." Injures soldier whispers beside her

"ABSOLUTELY NOT" that anger her. "Don't worry we are almost close!"

"...Idiot"

But once she arrive with the injuries she only received a shake from the doctors.

"...I am sorry but he is dead."

"N-no"

They were not allowed to grieve as another scream can be heard.

"I am very sorry but I have to be somewhere else"

She glances at the doctor running to others whose injuries until she now notices them all around her.

"We need more medicine!" "Command is sending it" "There is not enough Blood!" "IT Hurts!"

All around her she only hear the familiar scream she always heard, she crouch down and covered her ears in fear.

Was this the consequence of her action? She escape to only make the other suffer was that what this meant?

Every Minute another Will die, and every second a person Will be injured, She did not even have time to grieve as the number of injuries grow more and more.

EVA has indeed given her information on how to treat humans but she was too scared.

She now notices and sees that her college suffers a small price when She sees the lifeless city she once knew as hope is shattered, people she sees smiling and walking are now in despair.

She hates it, She runs away only to make the human she cares to suffer.

For the first time, she was seeking the answer in this cruel world.

After the conflict, Androids were ordered to patrol the area for any machine. Most regular androids are being used as a line of defense while YoRHa was given a heavy job patrolling the area for any machine.

And that is what the 2B role was given, patrolling the area for any machine.

2B While walking around until she notice a line of some kind of bag around the corner, she bit curios so when she looks at it closely she was horrified at what was inside

A dead body of a human. 2B covers her mouth, horrified by what she just see.

But when she notices almost everywhere she sees something similar bag, she Steps back scared of getting close to it.

Until she bump into someone behind her, she glance back to see someone carrying similar bags that she just saw.

"Hey if you are just going to stand there, help me burn the corpse."

She prosses what she just heard.

"..Burn them?"

"That's right" He takes a few steps and throws it at the back of the truck "Command does not have time to bury all of the bodies so they decide to burn any bodies if they are found"

"...Why?"

He glance at me in confusion until he notice her attire "Oh you are that YoRHa android so I guess that makes sense." He takes a few walks and carries another bag "Once the dead bodies are burnt in the fire, there is no possibility of diseases transmitting in the air, and you may guess that diseases are not good for the human body"

...Was this how human fate is if they die? Being burned and forgotten?

"Are you people fine with this?"

"Orders are orders." He glances at her "And you must follow them, now come help me carry it"

She can not think or think of it, she always saw an android's body anywhere she goes so she got used to it, but carrying a human body?

That's a whole new story to deal with.

She slowly tries to pick up the bag below her but stops because of hesitation.

"You hesitate." He notices "That is not acceptable."

She felt her collar being grabbed with force "THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE MUST DO."

While her mind still felt dizzy She now notice his face and understood his situation as well.

He was crying

She never understood their pain.

But now she notices that he hates doing this.

"D-Do you think I enjoy burning my own friend? I want them to at least be properly burry for their act of bravery, but because of strict time we don't have time to do that!"

"So stop hesitating and do your fucking job!" Her body drops to the floor leaving 2B on the floor thinking about what he just says
