Trust me when I say the air in Cape Town is quite different from the one In Pretoria. It somehow calmed me down. It was like an extraordinary scent that pushed me into a different universe. "Kayla sweetie are you okay?".My dad is such a softie when it comes to me. I grew up being very close to my dad, but one year we just drifted. I honestly don't know what happened. I miss him every single day, despite us leaving under the same roof, I wish he was emotionally involved. I am very close to my mom now. I admit she can be annoying and upsetting sometimes, but she's definitely my best-friend. "Yeah I am okay, I'm just admiring the atmosphere here, this place is beautiful",I answered.

We drove to my aunts house and you can definitely say she has a beautiful house. She lives in a weird neighborhood and there are some weird houses there, but hers stood out. My aunt was very welcoming and it honestly felt like home. She cooked up a feast and we ate and laughed. She reassured me that I am going to love it here. I was kinda relieved that maybe this wasn't going to be so bad. My aunt has two kids all boys,Kevin and Jack. Kevin is the oldest, but a year younger than me and Jack is in middle school probably 6th grade I assume. There's never a dull moment with these two, although Kevin is going through a phase and he tends to be moody sometimes but I get along with them very well, plus I see them every festive season at my grandmother's house, so basically there aren't any weird vibes here.

The next morning my parents had to go back to Pretoria since they were working. So I had limited time with them. My aunt has white neighbors. Too nice you might say. The Grootbooms owned a milk farm,so they gave my aunt free milk every week(I don't know why). In Pretoria you don't offer free things without expecting something in return. The time came for my parents to go back to Pretoria and I accompanied them to the airport with my aunt and we said our last goodbyes..."I love you sweetie". Those were the words I wished for from my parents.

But you know what they say:IT IS WHAT IT IS!
