Itami lost his family at the age of thirteen when his brutally abusive father was killed by his wife in self-defence. Although she was cleared of criminal charges, her feelings of guilt and regret shattered her sanity; she began to believe that her husband was still alive and longed for his return. One night, Itami couldn't stand it anymore and brutally confronted his mother with reality; but instead of making her come to her senses, it made her attempt suicide by self-immolation. She was saved from death and placed into a mental institution, where Itami left her to languish until many years later.
At about the same time (though it is not specified whether this occurred before or after this family tragedy), Itami met the much older politician Tarō Kanō, who had suffered a professional setback at that time. Mutually interested in the mangas the other was reading, Itami and Kanou began exchanging their favourite series; it is claimed that this was the point where Itami became a full-blooded otaku. Around that same time, Itami met a girl from a lower school class and a fellow otaku, Risa, who would eventually fall in love with him and soon marry him.
Itami graduated from a mediocre college with mediocre grades. After finishing officer training, where he ranked second from the last (since the person before him was injured), he became a Second Lieutenant. His work performance was considered barely acceptable, so a frustrated superior ordered him through Ranger training. Even though he almost failed several times, he still managed to finish by keeping his head down while troubling his buddies. His only remarkable achievements during that period, as noted by his superiors, were his ability to run from any trouble coming his way so fast that nobody could catch him, and that he infected a sizeable number of his fellow troopers with his otaku obsession. After that, Itami transferred to Narashino (a Special Forces Garrison) for some reason and was expected to end his days as a Second Lieutenant.
In 2016, he and his current squad was transferred to Okinawa to undertake a joint military exercise with the USMC and the Royal Marine Commando as trainees. During that training he befriended Tej Thapa from the Royal Marine who he described to be hot-blooded and stubborn. During one training exercise which scenario was to rescue a hostage being held by 50 SFG and USMC troopers, Itami and became an only trainee who managed to succeed in the mission. Itami and his team consisting of 2 SFG trainees and his newly founded friend Tej Thapa, took advantage of Dark and the current mindset of the SFG members and launched a surprise attack by taking the SFG commander, who was inspecting the training exercise, hostage. Itami then ordered Tej to cruelly pluck the remaining strands of the SFG commander's hair one after the other or having him to cut them short with his Kukari. This action forced SFG members, driven by the desire to protect the thinning strands of their commander's hair, to release their own hostage. Consequently, Itami received both a commendation and "special considerations" from the SFG commander and was forcibly enrolled in a series of comprehensive long-term training courses from which he could not possibly escape. Itami is said to be an expert at E&E (Escape & Evasion), more so than anyone in the SFG. During training nobody could locate him even after the training ended.
Due to his status as a member of SFG, Itami was also forced to undergo paratrooper training courses. And despite his fear of heights, Itami successfully obtained a paratrooper badge by being shoved off an aircraft five times. If the Ginza incident hadn't happen, Itami would probably have been forcibly enrolled into free-fall courses.
When the gate first appeared, Japanese citizens were attacked by an unknown hostile enemy force. Though he does his part, Yōji was much more worried about the fact that he wouldn't be able to buy any Doujinshi due to the attack, rather than the fact that a hostile army came out of nowhere and was killing people. During the incident he directed local police forces in defending citizens who had fled inside the Imperial Place. Due to the Ginza Incident, he was praised by the minister of defence for his actions during the Battle of Double Bridge and was promoted to First Lieutenant.

"when i checked on Itami's file the night before we headed off, i found Itami's file lying around his desk. i took a look at it and hilariously It was initially written as a joke by Itami's superiors who sarcastically wrote in Itami's documents that he is an expert at marksmanship, hand to hand fighting, psychological warfare, airborne skills, diving, explosive use, and so forth. The detail of Itami being "proficient at detecting danger before anyone else" is another way to say, by his superiors, that Itami is good at running away. While a majority of them are false, Itami seems to display good capabilities in skills that his superiors joked about, such as psychological warfare and close combat. Bloody hell, i even think Shino would piss her pants if she saw what Itami could really do, but the thing is that he' just too lazy. It a good thing i taught him all of my know-hows before leaving during the Okinawa exercise."

History:
Kuwahara used to be called "Demon Sergeant" because he made cadets at the NCO course run at high port all the time. Kuwahara is a veteran soldier with decades of experience in the JSDF. He is therefore a highly skilled leader and in very good physical condition. He possesses an extensive knowledge of military tactics and a great deal of experience with weapons and other JSDF equipment, despite been deployed to Iraq in 2003, he didn't saw many action.

History:
Shino always has been a aggressive tomboy, mainly because of her little sister because she has been the prime target of bullying. In spite of her violent nature, Shino also longs for a man in her life. It is revealed that she has dated before, but said "dates" inevitably involved going to a martial arts dojo for a "friendly spar", and any boyfriend who failed to beat - or at worst, match - her was summarily dumped, on the spot showing that her man must be the ones that can beat the crap out of her. History:
According to our files, Tej was born to a working-class family that lived in a rather Primitive village in the kingdom of Nepal. it said that when he was four years old, he moved from Nepal to England and moved in with the Archer family in Bristol. For years, he dreamed of becoming a Traveller. But after the death of his father, Ujesh Thapa, then change his dream to become a doctor, but had another idea of following his father's footsteps. when he became of age, he immediately rushed over to the nearest recruitment office.
At first, he was quite afraid of being rejected or not being good enough to make the cut. But much to his surprise, he passed every test they gave him. And it wasn't long until he went through all of his training and became an official member of the Royal marine, all the while becoming quite fascinated by the culture and technology that the World had. And after serving a successful military campaign in the Iraq and Afghanistan, he had showed a lot of potential and even caught the eyes of the higher up in the UKSF due to his success with his scouting and sabotaging mission that was authorised by the Commandos.
His personality and training naturally makes him a perfect for scout and covert op. Additionally, his medical skills he used during his career saved many lives as well. At the start of 2016, he volunteered for an joint training program with the United States Marine Corps and was sent to Okinawa to train with the USMC and JSDF, that where he met and befriend Daniel MacArthur and a year later he travelled to mainland japan where he said to met 'the most laid-back' JSDF officer ever, they also became good friend. Now he has now been assigned to be a part of a newly formed team, the Special Operations Unit- Squadron F, (Firefly). Tom was born in York along with his twin, Theodore. At a young age Tom had a dream of becoming an inventor and every day fiddled with some tools from his father workshop, making anything he could think of. He then later got his younger brother involved and together they build many thing, but none of them managed to create anything new. Tom was highly successful in school as he left school with high grades, he then later went on to go to university at the age of 20 due to his intelligence. After finding out his brother is joining the armed forces, he would have many stress believe it. He would leave university to joined the armed forces along with his twin brother, Tom travel to many places such as Iraq and Somalia. In 2010, they traveled to Afghanistan where they met and lead by Lieutenant Mitchell Brooks. A year later Tom though of leaving the military to continue with his university but he and his brother was offered to joined the a newly formed team called Firefly by Lt. Brooks. But before declining his 'Retarded' brother accepted the offer for both of them.

Personality: Theo is not as smart as Tom, but he very energetic especially in a firefight. He has the consistency of blowing everything up. Theo is one hell of an air-head.
History:

Theo was born in York along with his twin, Tom. Theo never had a dream dream when he was younger but after getting accidentally blown up in a firework display during bond fire night, though he suffered no physical his parent didn't let him leave for the next 2 weeks. After that day he then had a massive love for fire and explosion which lead his parents becoming very overprotective over him and banned him to go out in bond fire night. His 'explosive' affection however got the best of him and when he was 15, he set off a small explosive that build by himself in a private land owned by his grandfather. His explosive addiction then got his grandparents concert about his health. Theo then leave school with an exceptional grade which got him a job in the demolition team. Theo then met a man who was impressed by his job and joked to him that he would make a great solider, but Theo accidentally took this as an advice and rushed to there nearest recruitment office. In 2010, they traveled to Afghanistan where they met and lead by Lieutenant Mitchell Brooks, under his command Theo started to develop advanced breaching techniques. In 2016 he got his hands on a Milkor MGL from a joint exercise in South Africa.

•'I've went through many mental and physical test with Cpl. Theodore Cook along with 2nd Lt. Watson. I have to say I'm impress, despite some of his idiotic behaviour in the armed forces, he is surprisingly smart.
He is also very resistant to explosive and shrapnel. Well, I accidentally found this out when he took an Anti-tank explosion to the face, I thought he was dead but when the smoke cleared he was just knocked unconscious, No body part missing or anything. I'm just starting to question if he's even human or not.

Personality: Scarlet is extremely stubborn, but she is a very reliable person if you get into her good side.
History: Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Scarlet never talk a lot about her childhood memories. Scarlet never talked that much unless she absolutely has too, she is rather aggressive towards everyone, enemy or friendly but she has shown a soft side of herself sometimes. Why had she joined the military... we don't even know, Thapa's has a theory of that she joined because of something that happened in the past between them. She had proven many times that her marksmanship is exceptional, but already the team already has some top notch marksman so hence why she became the squad's Scout and covert op with Tej. Through out her career she has trained herself to become a CQC specialist in order to rival Tej. Scarlet and Tej had a long history together both sharing similar ideas and close quarters combat skills. Most of the time they act like an old married couple, but the the others thinks they just 'warming up' to each other. Scarlet had adopted Tej's combat strategy of using fear tactic so that she could stay on level with Tej as well as the 'funny' used of fear.
